“I have being eating halal food for the last 10 years. I am very lucky to found the best and cleannest halal store in New York. The gentlemen that served us was a real gentlemen and he's food was excellent ?. We were also lucky to meet other employees running that restaurant in a really great manner and I also recommend this place to everyone interest it on eating real good food. All 3 of us enjoyed everything thanks.“

“Angela the owner is a wonderful lady and the food was great. Very decent sized gyros for the price. Typically the lamb meat is cooked with onions mixed in but when I informed Angela that all three of my kids don’t like onions, she very happily and without hesitation grilled up fresh lamb by itself. I highly recommend this place not only for the great food but a chance to meet with Angela and her very friendly and bubbly personality!“

“The brother was the best, great man great service, definitely top 2 and not 2 gyro places in Long Island. Tastes so much like Brooklyn gyro and you can’t beat that. I forgot to take a pic of my food because of how good it was I finished it in under 2 minutes 😂“

“I brought my fiancée to this restaurant, she has a severe allergy to seafood and tree nuts. So I’m usually wary for her dietary restrictions.

If sesame seeds are a red flag then no worries the buns for the sandwiches are SEEDLESS!!!

The restaurant staff is VERY accommodating. I ordered the 3x3 (burger) and The Zinger (chicken sandwich) for myself and fiancée. The fries were a tad well done but still were tasty, we ate them up!!!!! I literally ordered The Zinger a 2nd time it was that tender and well seasoned!!! I decided against the hell sauce but next time I’ll give it a shot.

Speaking of tender, we also ordered the buffalo chicken tenders and WOW this is a MUST ORDER!!!

“this is one of my favorite places to go and get halal food. Their chicken over rice is my go to meal And you have to get their hot sauce. It’s made in-house and is so good!!!! Not only is the food amazing but it’s so quick when you order it to pick it up! Their fried chicken is also 10 out of 10!“

“Al Kababi is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Pakistani food. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with these amazing aromas that just get you excited for what’s coming. The fact that it’s Zabiha makes it even better, knowing everything is halal and carefully sourced. The food? Incredible. We started with the beef Bihari, and they were so juicy and packed with flavor—just the right amount of spice and served with this fresh mint chutney that tied everything together. The biryani, which was perfection. The rice was fragrant, and the meat was super tender, with all those spices working in harmony. The real star, though, was their Amazing Nihari. It tasted homemade, like something you’d get at a family gathering. The spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. You could tell they put real love into this dish.
And let’s not forget the naan—soft, warm, and just the right texture to scoop up all the delicious flavors. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re craving real Pakistani food, Al Kababi should be at the top of your list. “This truck has been operated by Sammy in this same spot since 2010. The chicken over rice will cost you $8. The portion size was just right for me. The quality of the chicken and the rice was above average. The white sauce and the hot sauce were both pretty good too. I will go back for a combo plate next time to taste their lamb. The chicken/lamb gyro from Far Rockaway/Seagirt by Q22 bus stop I believe. Was inside the car so didn’t pay attention. Hubby picked up the boxes.
