“Had the day off and went thrift shopping with my hubby and daughter. I was craving tacos and tamales. They are right down the block from a decent Salavation Army. Not busy, sadly.

Food was made to order but they also have steam tables to get platters. Clean atmosphere and lovely owners. Pupusas are yummy, tamales even better! Picky daughter enjoyed her burrito very much and hubby said his tacos had great flavor. Ask about their yucca fries; so crispy and fresh! Sauces are on point as well. Remember, food is made to order, so grab drinkie, sit at a table and chill!

I love that they have hundreds of TVs where you could watch different games, it’s always a good atmosphere, it’s fun, my kids actually do love coming here for their mozzarella sticks and how fun it is.“

“I'll start off by saying with only 1 person working the grill the guy deserves a medal for how fast he accommodated a family of 6. We tried pretty much the whole menu. I enjoyed the tots and fries but not crazy about the onion ring batter it was quite thick. Burgers were what you'd expect but the real star for me was the crispy chicken sandwhich. I got it with pickles, mayo and added pepper jack cheese - it was bomb.“

“I became a regular diner to Riley’s a couple of years ago. Gotta tell ya, the food is as good as any high restaurant I eat at and I dine out a lot. Fun, delicious, quality menu that has never once disappointed on any item, ever. Yes it is mostly basic pub food but so are 50% of the restaurants on Long Island now and Fibbers is perfect and priced more than fair. Can’t remember the servers but the two ladies are always right there, refills on drinks, food on time and always with a smile regardless how busy they are. Come back soon guys! “I was greeted by the most pleasant, professional young lady named Ayanna. She immediately brought us to the table of our choice and then inform us that she would also be our server. She did not leave until she informed us of menu options that she thought we might be interested in and asked us if there was anything that we needed right away. When I told her to give us a little bit of time, she pleasantly agreed and did hesitate to frequently check on us to see if she could meet our needs. I ordered a cocktail for myself and a drink for my son, who accompanied me, and we placed our dinner order. Our food was served promptly and it was hot and delicious. Throughout dinner, she checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything that we needed. She also made pleasant conversation which I greatly appreciated as this was my first time at an Applebee’s location. She has gained you a customer for life. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful, but Ayanna definitely may be experience worthwhile.“

“I was invited here for a dinner by our Boss who is also an Honourable member of this club. This is place is truly beautiful. Nice water-view! Inside of the place is even more beautiful! Nicely decorated and very Private place! The food was delicious! I’ve tried their fried Calamari and crab cake. One of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! Their Grilled Salmon for the entrées is out of the world! Highly recommended place for dinner! If you know someone who’s the member of this club, try this place out! You won’t regret!“

“Have been coming here, sporadically, for past 20+ years. Servers work hard. Food is good if you are ordering basic diner fare; omelettes or sandwiches. The owner, a kind, older gentleman, tried his best to make us feel valued.

“I’m a breakfast snob and I can say without question that Torkel’s Galley is first rate! The breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, the eggs, potatoes and bacon will be a memorable meal for a long time. The decor brought back fond memories of the old days of Halesite I only wish I lived closer to Halesite to frequent the Galley more often. I should note that I knew Torkel Knutson and his siblings back when I grew up on Huntington Harbor in the 50s and 60s. It was great to see him doing so well.“

“🌸 Halston was Off the Hook this past Saturday night. Pauley greeted us with a smile and brought us over to The Big Beautiful Bar which was packed while our table was being prepared. The 3 Big TVs played 3 different sports games that held our attention along with conversing with the professional and friendly bartenders. Looking out into the main dining room was a sea of great steaks, varied drinks , appetizers and desserts. Individual festivities were all about. We started our night off with the wedge salad chopped that consisted of mouthwatering bacon bits & colorful small tomatoes. We also had the hummus as well. Speaking of being “Off the Hook” , our dinner choices for the night was around the Sushi selections- We had the night’s sushi special that was absolutely delicious and super fresh - it was by far the best sushi we have ever had anywhere. Along with that special we had the tuna tartare that was mixed with avocado and mango as well as the Halston Roll to round out our palate .. Leaving the best for last- our server Gina 💕was back from vacation and was a friendly face as always and helped make our dinner decisions very easy . We were surrounded by fun tables and The Halston was a buzz and definitely the place to be on a Saturday night . Great food Great People Beautiful place !!! Our Saturday night date night place for all the reasons above.“

“My family and I visited on Sunday, November 16, 2025, and had Gianna as our server. She greeted us with a smile and gave us time to decide what we wanted to order. She made appetizer recommendations, and we went with the loaded fries.

The main meal arrived HOT; maybe I should have waited just a minute to sample my skillet meal! Gianna was always available for us and made sure that our glasses were never empty. She is a valuable asset to Applebee's East Islip.

“Last Wednesday I was at Davis vision works and we walk to the restaurant for lunch whem we get the we were standing up for almost 15 minutes waiting for someone to give us a table. finally whem someone come to us and without asking if we need a table rigth away he say is was 15 mint wait, me while the restaurant wasn't even packed it was a lot of table empty and even like that he was going to make us to wait more. really bad service and rude attention. we have money to pay it wasn't like we were asking for a free table. people are really racist at this place. “I just had my wedding at the Heritage Club, and the day went perfectly. I met with Mindy when touring the venue, and she was very helpful in explaining all the details, and she remained hands-on throughout the whole process. Everything was set up beautifully, and the events progressed seamlessly. Guests told me that this wedding was the most "on time" and organized wedding they have ever attended. The maitre-d helped make sure everything was going according to plan, and he even made sure we were looking at the right cameras during various events. Janet, the bridal attendant, was also incredibly helpful beyond words. When my husband's button popped off his tuxedo jacket, she sewed it back on within seconds. When lipstick got on my teeth, she appears with a q-tip and some floss. She was always around to help carry my train or give me a glass of water (with a straw!).There was a moment when I was walking with my full train, but by the time I reached the end of a hall, Janet had magically bustled the dress without me even noticing. From a guest-experience perspective, the Heritage Club also went above and beyond. Everyone raved about how full they were from cocktail hour, but then were still amazed by the quality of the seated dinner and passed desserts. The venue itself is also beautiful, with each space having its distinct characteristics. The ballroom in the daylight is breathtaking and airy.“
