“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

You can have a sip of coffee, with their famous French Toast (my trick is to add strips of bacon as the sides! The brioche is just so buttery and soft! It goes so well in a sweet and savoury tone, yummmm!) or to enjoy a drink, a beer or some wines with friends there.

Iced latte and Flat White are always my favourites. Their scones are amazing indeed, especially the Blueberry white chocolate one! It’s an evil combo and simply too good to share with others!

“Took two trips here on the same day to sample something for brunch and for lunch. For starters, the place is pretty big despite how the place looks from the entrance. The people working behind the counter were pretty cool, service was on point. For breakfast I had the Nutella Custard Croffle and a can of Celsius. The croffle was delightful for sure, pleasing to the taste buds though one small complaint...I don't think croffles are a good base for any sandwich because it was messy eating that, the croffle was kinda all over the place eating it.

Came back here for lunch after a few hours in the gym to order a Mocha Haze Power Smoothie and a Smoked Turkey Croffle. Croffle sandwiches here are delicious as a whole but they are very unstable and can leave a mess so as a note, ALWAYS ask for extra napkins. The smoothie was very good and filling too. I could see myself coming around here a couple more times, trying out as much of their expansive menu as I possibly could.“

“I’ve been to every local coffee shop you could think of within the radius of Oceanside to Long Beach. Without doubt this is THE best local coffee shop in the area. Small, quaint little hole in the wall type of shop next to the Oceanside train station that puts out THE best coffee and baked goods. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a total knock out, so so so so good. The owner Vish has to be one of the nicest people I’ve met as well. A hands on owner you can find behind the counter whipping up coffees or out on the patio engaging with his guests. Very nice spot I highly recommend coming here. Their cold brew is the best.“

The space is spotless—immaculately clean and always tidy. It’s clear they take pride in every detail. There are often delicious samples out to try, and every one I’ve tasted has been outstanding. “Great place for crazy cookie flavors, a little pricey and other than the everyday flavors the specialty flavors are more expensive. If you join their club you get a FREE cookie for your bday but only the daily flavors, specialty ones are not included and they should be, after all if it's your bday you should be able to pick what you like. Even though cookies are pricey they can be worth the try because I feel this is not a daily place but a nice treat once in a while.“

“I was referred to NY SPINE CARE by my Neurologist and my PCP almost 4 years ago as I was in utter agony for 24/7 and didn't know where to turn to receive help and relief from the perpetual pain I was experiencing ad nausea. I was unable to get out of bed, sit up for any length of time and when I tried to get up, this feat was like climbing Mt. Everest for me. All seemed lost. The life I lived was completely negated and I was truly lost and at the end of my rope UNTIL I began receiving treatments from Dr. Han. “At almost more than half the cafes I’ve visited, I usually order matcha and the matcha ends up tasting just like sugary milk. However, here you definitely wouldn’t regret getting matcha, it was delicious. The coffee too is amazing. The owner is super sweet making the cafe even more enjoyable to be at. Also, there’s free wifi so it’s a great place to study or get some work done as well. Overall a great cafe and strongly recommend checking it out!“
