“Great brewery! So glad we stopped here. They had 10 beers on tap and a choice of wine and local ciders in cans and bottles as well. We tried about half the beers in a flight, had a taste of another, and settled on their Roasted, which was very delicious. Wednesday night was trivia night and it was hopping but there was plenty of room for us and they had great outdoor seating which would have been nice had it not been raining. Food truck was outside with tempting dishes. Folks are super nice! Overall great experience!“

“Rye Bar & Restaurant is a gem and a testament to what Charlie Hunter has built in Elmira. He took a beloved classic Irish pub and kept all of its soul and heritage while elevating it into one of the best restaurants in the area.

The themed nights are brilliant - I just did the Whisky & Beef Wellington dinner and the wedge salad and the beef were outstanding. And his other spot, The Garage, is just as good for breakfast and lunch - don’t miss the lemon poppy seed scones and brown bread.

Charlie is not just serving great food, he’s creating community. A lot of heart, a lot of work, and it shows.“

“I live in Maryland, but am originally from
Mansfield Pa. A few months ago, the Pudgies in Mansfield was sold and it is now a Dandy. Disappointed in this, and found myself needing to go to NY to get our Pudgies pizza, when I go to visit my Mansfield family. The 30 minute drive to go get Pudgies is so worth it. There is no other pizza like it. The Elmira location is where I now need to go and the pizza is always made very well and their store is nice and clean. I’m glad I can at least still get the pizza we love. But please bring back a Mansfield location. 😉“

“We got to Bernie Murray's early for dinner. The bartender asked if we would like to wait so we did. She brought us drinks, then came back 5 min later saying the cook is ready to start cooking if we would like to eat early, so we did. Fish was good, my piece was rather thin and greasy, my partner was happy with his. Might go back for there specialty chicken wings.“

“First time coming to Elmira New York. We had no idea the food was so delicious here. We stopped in to this cute little mom and pop shop pizza place and everything looked so good that we couldn't choose just one thing. The owner treated us like family and made these out of owners feel like they were home. The mozerrela sticks were the best we've ever had, thick, ooey gooey cheese, perfectly crispy and fresh delicious dipping sauce. We couldn't decide if we liked the garlic, sausage, or Supreme pizza better. Just get them all! The hot wings and BBQ wings were 💣! We feel like we made a lifelong friend and new favorite spot to bring the family. The owner you can tell truly loves the people that come in and puts love into his food as well.“
