“First time here for a private party and i cannot say enough great things about not only the food but the staff also. By far one of the best upcoming restaurants in the Hudson valley. The pizza was so flavorful, fresh with perfect crust n that’s coming from someone whose family owned pizzeria for years. Another must have is the house made penelle which aside from my nonna making it I’ve never had in any restaurant. Last but not least the cannoli were some of the best I’ve had in months. This place is 1000% worth the drive from anywhere in the area. Will be coming back asap“

“At one time I lived in Poughkeepsie and often frequented the Milanese. The food was outstanding but the accommodations were at the time subpar. Close together seating where neighboring conversations were easily heard. Loud talking diners nearby were often obstusive. I recall a couple were about to be seated when the gentleman curtly told the waitress "If I wanted to sit with those folks I would have come in with them."

Years later still the case. We were seated very close to a table of 5. They were indeed loud talkers and we were uncomfortable until they left about a half hour later.

I got the stuffed shrimp
Delicious! But my side of pasta didn't come until 10 minutes into the meal. That presented another problem. There was one server for the whole dining room. The poor guy was frantically running to and fro like a crazy man. We felt sorry for him

My companion got the lasagne dinner and felt it was very tasty though substantially light on meat.

Generally my return to the Milanese was a disappointment. Uneven food quality and below average seating and poor service.

I doubt I'll be back.

“The restaurant was picked by our friends who had been there before, and wanted to enjoy it with us.
I had the Pork schnitzel special and my wife had shrimp on linguine special . The Pork schnitzel was very delicious while the shrimp specials had very few shrimp that made it a bit disappointing for her.
The staff was very attentive and friendly which made it a pleasant experience anyway. I would probably go back and order a different entree next time.

It was my birthday and I was treated like a prince. I love their Catskill location, but l would love to spend my next birthday here.

I couldn't imagine they could do anything decent with an old friendlies, and I went there for Sunday breakfast for years with my in-laws. finally decided to check it out. I went in today and was pleasantly surprised how they redecorated it, although the tables were kind of cheesy. right off the bat I was disappointed that there was no calamari. an Italian restaurant without calamari? blasphemy. I ordered my food and a cup of pasta fagioli came out . I guess they took the pasta and beans literally because that's all that was in the soup with an unflavored broth. disappointing. next came the baked clams. two clams for $11. they were stuffed quite well and actually had a decent flavor to them. the wait staff was a bunch of older diner waitresses who were crass and continued a loud cackling. I must say though that they were nice and attentive. dinner came out, chicken cutlet parm over rigatoni. the pasta was warm at best, overcooked and no flavor. at least salt the water. the cutlet was a nice size and considering this day and age it was reasonably priced. Glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll be going back“

“Hands down, the best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had. My whole family loves it. It’s our favorite pizza spot because of it. Only downside is the parking and the staircase when you first walk in(because you can’t push the stroller up it lol) .Only poor experience I had here is , I placed an order, and paid over the phone and asked if they wouldn’t mind bringing it out to the door so I could pull up and not have to take my kids out of the car (with the baby in the car seat lugging that thing down the street & then back with a pizza box in your hands as well as your sons hand - it’s a lot- especially if you don’t get a close parking spot, it’s a busy street) but they said they no longer do curb side pick up…Not the end of the world just annoying.But as far as the BBQ chicken pizza goes - flawless.

“End Cut has been our spot for special occasion dinners here and there, but tonight was a little different. On 1/26 I called to make a reservation for tonight, and to no surprise, I could not for the life of me remember if I made it for 7 or 7:30. So Michael called yesterday and unfortunately our reservation wasn’t on the books. They were completely booked but squeezed us in for 5:30. We had one of the best meals in awhile - mushroom cakes, a porterhouse for two with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, key lime pie and two drinks each. The porterhouse for two was $115 alone.. and I have zero clue what the whole bill was because Chef Jordan took care of our e n t i r e bill. We declined many times but they insisted, so the next best thing I can think of is to recommend the heck out of a place that not only cares about their customer’s experience, but does everything 11/10 from drinks to dessert. “We accidentally came upon Luigi’s Deli in Highland N.Y. My husband & I shared their Italian Combo sub…fresh arugula, provolone, prosciutto and many other toppings, it was fabulous! The kids got a slice of pizza (adjoining) we had to order 3 more slices! The gentleman who makes the pizza also made “Grandma’s” pizza slices which tasted exactly like my Nonnies pizza from years ago. You must try this hidden gem on Rt. 299. DELICIOUS!!“

Pizzas are generously sized, prepared with an abundance of toppings, and reasonably priced. The pizza is so good, I haven't explored the menu much. But they also sell ricotta cheesecake a delicately flavorful, mildly sweet, lighter-textured cheesecake. Genuinely Italian.“
