“A must stop if you’re ever in Woodstock. Cucina is an absolutely beautiful restaurant set in an old farm house. The gorgeous front porch is the place to dine on a warm night. The service was outstanding. Our food was equally excellent with an emphasis on the meatball appetizer which was simply some of the best meatballs I’ve ever tasted. The chicken parmigiana is a big plate of food but absolutely delicious. The linguine vongole was perfectly prepared as well. Their cocktails were fine but nothing to write about. The wine list is small but has some nice selections and our server was a bounty of knowledge about the lists. Without question one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long time.“

“What a joy to eat fine Italian food. Not the horrific slathering in canned tomato sauce. No, fine delight in carefully fine tuned tastes. It was really like spending time in Rome or Milan. It was my birthday and I was treated like a prince. I love their Catskill location, but l would love to spend my next birthday here.

“The restaurant was picked by our friends who had been there before, and wanted to enjoy it with us.
I had the Pork schnitzel special and my wife had shrimp on linguine special . The Pork schnitzel was very delicious while the shrimp specials had very few shrimp that made it a bit disappointing for her.
The staff was very attentive and friendly which made it a pleasant experience anyway. I would probably go back and order a different entree next time.

“I put off going here for quite a while. I couldn't imagine they could do anything decent with an old friendlies, and I went there for Sunday breakfast for years with my in-laws. finally decided to check it out. I went in today and was pleasantly surprised how they redecorated it, although the tables were kind of cheesy. right off the bat I was disappointed that there was no calamari. an Italian restaurant without calamari? blasphemy. I ordered my food and a cup of pasta fagioli came out . I guess they took the pasta and beans literally because that's all that was in the soup with an unflavored broth. disappointing. next came the baked clams. two clams for $11. they were stuffed quite well and actually had a decent flavor to them. the wait staff was a bunch of older diner waitresses who were crass and continued a loud cackling. I must say though that they were nice and attentive. dinner came out, chicken cutlet parm over rigatoni. the pasta was warm at best, overcooked and no flavor. at least salt the water. the cutlet was a nice size and considering this day and age it was reasonably priced. Glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll be going back“

“Stella’s has been one of my favorite places since I’ve moved to Kingston. The service and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The food is tasty. I usually get the linguine in clam sauce or the spaghetti and meatballs. That never disappoint.“

“I'm an RN, and work for the on call team at Hudson Valley Hospice. I cover Ulster County, and some evenings are very busy. On busy evenings, I only have time to stop for a bite to eat. Whenever I'm visiting patients in the Kingston area, I stop at (and look forward to) Picnic Pizza for a few slices. Nice people, and the best pizza around!“
