“The food is good but the staff is not. I had gone in to pick up an order that I had placed and walked in a little early as I did not realize how close I was. As it was chilly outside at the time I decide to just wait inside instead of my car. When I got there, I was asked if I was being helped I said no not yet, but I know that I’m a little early. The woman who is helping me said OK no problem and told me how long it was going to be. After about 5 mins of waiting I heard a different women on the staff say out loud looking directly at me “I hate it when people call their order in and come here and just stare at us working.” Since that I have not gone back.“
“This was our first time eating at Fratello's and it was absolutely delicious!! With so many selections of gourmet toppings on the slices, it was hard to choose so we had 4 different kinds. “Both my husband and I don’t get out much these days with two small children so when we finally had a date night we wanted to try il traverna. It was absolutely beautiful inside the food was wonderful the drinks were okay. I only say that because i definitely ordered the wrong drink. “This is a beautiful restaurant located of the Fishkill/Wapoingers border. You feel like you are in NYC and the service is always terrific, the bread is fantastic and they have one of the best pizzas in the area. For salmon fans they are really great too. Actually everything they make there is delicious. Weeknights are generally not so busy so that's when we prefer to go. They have some nice desserts too, but the entrees are what keeps us coming back. We are excited to try their Sunday brunch too. Definitely give this place a try, it's rare these days to find an affordable, high quality restaurant on Route 9.“
“I've lived in the area for 23 years. Pizza places have come and gone in that time without leaving an impression. Pizza and Stuff is honestly the best tasting pizza I've had in a while. I am outside their normal delivery range (have to order thru Doordash if I want delivery) but I will 1000% order from them once a week and pick it up on the way home. Their pizza tastes great and their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The storefront might be a bit small, but it's homey and comfortable. You can never go wrong ordering from these guys. “I’ve been to Cilantro twice. It has mixed reviews, but I’m not one to be scared off by those. The first time I had the enchiladas de mole poblano y pollo. I try mole often because I love chocolate and the idea of it in a sauce intrigues me. Cilantro’s mole is the best I’ve ever tasted with a richness and depth of flavor I haven’t had elsewhere. My husband had the chicken taco salad and was impressed as well. They did not skimp on the chicken and it didn’t taste like Cisco chicken. Last night I had the black bean and mango salad. It was good but I ate some of it with chips as it was sweet and their salsa is sweet too. House margs are $1.50 off during happy hour - bringing them to $8.50 at the time of this review. José was attentive and my meal came quickly last night.“
“We had my Mom's surprise 80th Birthday Party on March 2, 2024. We could not have been happier at Joseph's! We had close to 70 guests and no one was disappointed with their entrees! We started with a salad, went to a pasta and then our guests had a choice of fish, chicken or steak! Everything was absolutely delicious! The chocolate mousse cake was simply out of this world! Deidra (Manager) was amazing to work with and paid close attention to every detail. The staff was extremely accommodating and personable to boot! The Birthday Girl was quite Happy and this will be a day she will never forget! Thank you Joseph (Owner) for helping us create this awesome memory that my Mom will never forget! “It's not a very big restaurant, but it has charm; a very vibrant atmosphere. This is not a likely place to see a restaurant as for location. The fact is that it is full at 4p.m. on cold rainy Saturday, speaks volumes. And now I am going to RAVE about the food. Starting with appetizers- Hot antipasto. You can taste every herb and savor on the signature flavor right into the homemade stuffed clams,stuffed ?, stuffed pepper, eggplant rollatini, and shrimp. I have posted pictures of all. I ordered stuffed mushrooms, and my recommendation- if you don't order these handmade, perfectly cooked, flavorful mushrooms in a wine sauce like I've never tasted in my experience, you will have missed out on thee best sauce ever tasted. I could drink it by the gallon and put it on anything. Yes! That delicious. The main dishes come with salad, which was fresh and equally delicious with their house balsamic dressing. The veal and shrimp marsala was amazing, with the choice of side we went with broccoli garlic and oil. Perfect texture and flavoring, not any heavy taste of oil. The veal and shrimp francese was a little much with the lemon. Desert was delicious, lemon? But show the picture, and they will know. This brings me to what made such an experience with fine food, so ? I have to give our waiter, Andrew, much praise for his recommendations and nature in being attentive in knowing when we needed assistance and checking in to make sure we were satisfied. With that, my review is a finely quality restaurant with food and staffing, making it a place we will sure to go to again. There aren’t many quality establishments that can pump out 475 orders between noon and 6:00 on a given day. Details below.The food here is delicious. All of us ordered some sort of chicken dish; Picatta, Francais, and Sorrentino. I had the latter. It was in a delicious sauce, tender chicken, delicious eggplant, and prosciutto. The portions are large so we all had meals for two nights.They start you out with, I'm assuming, homemade bread. It's rolled with herbs and spices. I could make a meal out of just that with olive oil! It is served with fresh butter.Next is the salad. This was the 'low part' of the meal. The lettuce was all the same with very light green and crunchy leaves. I prefer more variety among lettuces and vegetables. Their house balsamic dressing was fine, but nothing special.As I said above all the entrees were excellent and all were served with pasta and salad. We also ordered two sides of broccoli rabe and spinach. I'm a huge fan of broccoli rabe and this was perhaps the best I've had anywhere.For dessert we had chocolate lava cake and lemon sorbet. I had the lemon sorbet. I prefer a much more lemony flavor than this sorbet had. The report on the chocolate lava cake was that it was fine but nothing special.The atmosphere is high end, but cozy. Very nice brick walls lined with bottles of wine. White tablecloths. Quiet and comfortable.This wouldn't be complete without a shout out to the wait staff. All very professional, well dressed and polite.“
