“My wife and I recently found this place about a year ago. Have gone 4 times and have had nothing but exceptional service and food. I sort of want to keep this place a hidden gem. They recommend reservations, but walking in should be no issue for a small party of 2-4. However, every time I make a reservation, we are greeted and seated immediately with our table prepared and water already served, which is a nice touch. Not many restaurants actually prepare the table for the reservation that was made previously.Each time we have had the same waiter which has been great. He is always accommodating and polite and attentive. Other staff have also been friendly and kind.Soft butter is always served to go with the delicious bread. The fried calamari is great. The chicken parm is good. My favorite has been the NY Strip with Gorgonzola cheese melted on top. Cooked perfect each time. The cheese gives it a great flavor that just works well together. Had it twice and my wife also had it and it’s delicious each time. And for dessert the tartufo is probably the best I’ve had. Highly recommend.We have decided to make this a place for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversary’s. It’s a place that we truly enjoy and look forward to coming to for years to come. Highly suggest it. Prices are very reasonable. Much more expensive places with mediocre food. This place is worth every penny.“
“Went in to get some breakfast and so glad I did. Food is delicious, I’m catholic and lent just started so when I went to see the breakfast/lunch buffet they had I was a little sad the eggs had meat on them but the guy behind the counter offered to make me new eggs with veggies on them and I’m glad I took his offer because they were delicious. I also added beans, plátano, potatoes, and he added cheese and crema, also offered me tortillas, which are thicker than Mexican tortillas but so much flavor and let just say I’m hooked. Also so many choices for beverages, they have a machine for fresh orange juice but I opted to try the horchata, I’ve had it before and I wasn’t a fan but I said to myself let me try it again and I don’t know if there’s a difference between countries for horchata but this was hit the spot, so refreshing and yummy. Best Salvadoran spot I’ve found so far and since I’m a local I’m glad is so close to me. “First of all, bless this place for delivering to a rest area most places won't (Truck driver so we can't go down there). The staff was super nice and friendly, Eta for driver was right. Most importantly the pizza was a good pizza (More towards thin crust with a bit of grease but I love that) and buffalo wings was decent, Like everyone can eat them and not think twice about it (But to be clear im very picky on my wings). So overall I would go here again if im near by and I already told a friend about it. A solid place to get some food and you can't go wrong with them!“

“The food was incredible, amazing point is that the owner recognized me and was excited to see me. However when I asked the server what mocktails they had he said they could do orange juice and cranberry juice. Which is insulting, might as well give it to me in a kids cup. I was there not three weeks prior and the server went to the bar to get a list of mocktails I could have and went above and beyond so I could have something other then juice or water and make me feel apart of the table. It's also very embarrassing when I get told I can have a juice, when the server looked and sounded irritated that I wasn't ordering a wine or cocktail. I will still go back, however me having a mocktail doesn't mean a low check. I alone spent over $100“
“First time trying Rocco's. Has parking and looks like an old style diner which gives it atmosphere and a look that's not seen much anymore. Wine and beer be fine, they serve both. Pasta dishes and pizza are on the menu. All was well until check out time, when paying. If paying by card, you get charged with a fee. Wish we had known cause tip would have been higher. Part of the tip went for the fee. We'll be back though. Next time we'll pay in cash.“
“First time at Trattoria Sei. The inside was nicely decorated, warm ambiance. The food was delicious, very generous portions. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese made with ground beef and veal. Highly recommend it. We also got a salad which was one of the specials and had pickled beets, blueberries, crumbled blue cheese, and it was very delicious! I also have to commend our server, Sophia, who was very attentive to us!“

“My wife and I stopped here in Oct 2021 on our way up to Connecticut after a 5 hour flight from Las Vegas to JFK and battling NYC traffic after getting the rental car. After a full day of traveling, she and I were both exhausted and hungry. The restaurant itself and the pizza were absolutely awesome. I only gave service 3 stars because they wouldn’t let my wife use the restroom. I can’t remember why. Overall, I’d come back. The pizza and the staff were both awesome. “If you're going to get a flat tire, I strongly recommend that you get one on NY-22, right in front of this deli, as I did. The staff are lovely (a man and his mother) and speak Italian to one another. They make their own mozzarella, soup, and at least some pastries, if not all. Cannoli are filled to order and excellent. Another pastry (crostata?), cut into squares with a shortbread-like crust, cherry jam and chocolate was even more spectacular and something that I *must* come back for. The man told me it was homemade. The sfogliatelle pastry was a little tough and stale, but the thick, ricotta-rich filling was delicious. To be fair, these things have a very short shelf life. I gave it a few minutes in the toaster oven when I finally made it home and the texture was far improved. The son patiently answered my questions [e.g. how to properly pronounce "sfogliatelle," how much the fresh mozzarella costs (about $11 / lb)] and the mother kindly warmed up some pasta e fagioli for me. Sandwiches seem to be the focus here -- the menu is vast! -- but I sorely needed the warm-you-from-the-inside-out comfort of soup at that moment. The rich broth full of red beans, potatoes, and carrots absolutely hit the spot. It's too bad that it took a flat tire to get me in this place. We've been driving by for years and have clearly been missing out all this time!“

“Let’s be honest. The interior is outdated and leaves a lot to be desired, and the parking lot is a complete mess. However, the customer service is lovely and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was.Prices are reasonable and everything is fresh and well served. I would personally appreciate a larger menu and having the able pizza types on display to make the ordering process easier. This really seems like a “dial in” joint and it would be nicer if more tables were able to sit. But, given the quality of the pizza, I would happily stop in again.Parking: While spots are available, there is no depth to the parking lot. There is limited visibility on a busy road which depending on the time of day, may or may not be worth the effort.“
“Last week, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Il Villagio. The restaurant was highly recomended to us by my wife's coworker. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. We had a 6:30 reservation. The service from start to finish was warm, friendly and professional. We started with a crisp tender fried calamari and the roasted beet salad. So many times calamari is a hit or miss. This was an excellent version. The beet salad was tender, earthy and sweet. The crunchy pistacios and orange vinaigrette were a nice touch. My wife ordered Chicken Millanese and I ordered Gnocchi Bolognese. Both were excellent. The chicken was crisp and tender. The arrugula was peppery with a drizzle of lemon and virgin olive oil. Great balance. The Gnocchi was a great choice as there was a chill in the air. My definition of comfort food. Recently I have notice some resturants are going with a cheaper grated cheese, not Il Villagio. The Peccorino was perfectly salty and sharp. During our meal several people came over to check on us including the owner. I told he should be very proud of his staff. This restaurant is doing a great job. The provide quality service, excellent food and a warm friendly staff. It was a 25-30 drive for us. A drive I will be doing again real soon. Thank you to all“

“A cozy Italian-American in Mahopac on Route 6, that is worth a trip from anywhere! The review, may sound like hyperbole, but it's not! A friend mentioned it had good food, great prices, and table service and he was going down there, so we all stopped in for lunch. Great decision. The prices are very reasonable! One of the best Italian-American restaurant/pizzerias I've found in years; and I've eaten more than my share of pizza in many countries. Only top quality ingredients are used! We each ordered a different 12" pizza, one for each of us. In hindsight, we could've ordered one pizza that the three of could have shared and would we have been satiated! My significant other ordered a prosciutto and arugula pizza. She had one at Cancino's in Mexico City November 2019 and LOVED it. We've never seen it on another menu here. So, when she saw it on their menu, she ordered it right away! It was perfect! There was about 4 ounces of arugula and the $20 something a pound prosciutto on it. See the photo. No crispy cremated prosciutto chips nor wilted arugula arrived to the table. My friend had the red meat pizza. It looks like about a pound of sausage meat and a whole pepperoni was sliced and put on his pizza. He kept picking pepperoni off his pizza and putting it on ours. What we had looked like a normal pepperoni pizza; there was that much on his! There was a small group who ordered pasta dishes. They looked great also. Yelpers get a 10% discount.“

“I used to come here all the time before COVID, and I had the pleasure of going back this week. I was pleased to see that the restaurant had undergone some renos. It looks wonderful! My party of 4 was seated immediately in a comfy spot near the warm fireplace. Service was great throughout the whole meal. Several servers continued to check in on us throughout our time at the restaurant, and they were kind and respectful. I ordered the Fettuccine alla Bacio, which was very tasty! “Love Maria's Pizza when we moved up here to Yorktown a few years ago Maria was the first pizza shop we ordered from and they never disappoint. The service and delivery is great and everybody's always very nice when they answer and take our orders. Definitely recommend Maria's pizza and we're definitely going to try there. The drunken chicken is my favorite chicken Parm pizzas excellent. Tried the new cannoli chips and dip loved we're gonna soon try Maria's famous 3 foot pizza cause we'll be having a gathering so we're gonna try that when ordering it arrives early and hot so if you're in the Yorktown area, try Maria's Pizza. “Food was good. Service was quick the location is nice but it's a little small. I only had typical El Salvadorian pupusas. They were very good. I would go back for those again but seems like a lot of people came for the soups. Which I didn't try. It gets busy but mostly take out. I would order the Spanish food since everyone there is Spanish. I don't think the Italian side of the kitchen will be as good as the el Salvadorian one since there is not Italians cooking it.“
