“Small neighborhood, whole in the wall kind of place. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We went before noon and had egg platter breakfast and the tempura udon. Weird combo but worked somehow. Breakfast was good but the udon was sooo good! Brother was delicious! I think it beats many of the udons expensive restaurants. It will be one of our staple places for breakfast“

“I’ve been to this IHOP before, and I have to say — the service has improved a lot since a few years back. This time everything was excellent from start to finish. We went on a Sunday for brunch, and even though the place was packed, we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant looked clean and well-organized; you can even see the kitchen as soon as you walk in, and everything was running smoothly.

Our server was kind, attentive, and respectful — she really stayed on top of everything. The manager was also visible on the floor helping out and making sure customers were taken care of, which shows great leadership and teamwork.

The food came out quickly, fresh, and hot — perfectly cooked pancakes, crispy hash browns, and great breakfast combos. Prices were reasonable, and I liked that they don’t automatically include the tip for parties under six, so we could tip extra for the great service.

Overall, we had a great family brunch — good food, friendly staff, and easy parking. Definitely one of the better IHOP experiences we’ve had!

“I really wish I could give a five star because the sandwich I received was amazing. I’m giving four stars because the atmosphere of the entire place needs to match everything. The worker at the register was honestly just rude and had a very standoffish attitude. It almost made me want to cancel my order and walk out the store. What makes this place unique is that it’s not your typical all-American brunch, which for me can sometimes be on the bland side. Here, you’re getting a true Dominican-American breakfast and brunch experience — sazon, flavor, and soul in every bite. If you enjoy savoring your food, this is a match made in heaven.

Their mangú is smooth, creamy, and comforting — not the stiff, heavy version you often get elsewhere. I ordered the tres golpe and my girlfriend had the dos golpe with pechurrinas (Dominican chicken tenders). The chicken was crisp to perfection, seasoned beautifully, and mixing it with the mangú is next-level. To finish, I ordered a papaya milkshake that was amazing — rich, refreshing, and the perfect balance.

The flavor here is what sets them apart. If you’re Latino, or if you just love food with seasoning and depth, this is the spot. Too many brunch places in the city are bland — here, every bite has sabor.

On top of that, the service is excellent. Our server Jeanette was attentive, funny, and welcoming — exactly the kind of energy you want when you’re hungry.

And let’s talk about price. In 2025, when everything feels overpriced, this spot is a blessing. Most dishes are $5–$10, nothing over $25, and the quality is unmatched even compared to restaurants charging triple. You get your money’s worth every time.

The only downside is they’re not open for dinner — but for breakfast and brunch, Cafeteria Brooklyn is unbeatable. If you want food that’s flavorful, affordable, and satisfying, this is where you need to be. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Love, Love, LOVE this breakfast spot. I order from here regularly. The food is always fast, fresh and budget friendly. The guy who takes phone orders affectionately refers to us as “The Donut Family” because we usually order the last donuts of the day. What’s pictured here is seasoned waffle fries and a special made burger (bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a glazed donut w/lettuce & tomato). They are open very early. They take cards and cash. The staff is super friendly. Great for delivery but not so great as a dine in spot (they do have a couple of chairs inside but it’s really too small to sit and enjoy a meal without having to move for the incoming foot traffic).“

It's good to know if you find yourself in the South Bronx (should you dare to roam these streets) that there's decent food here. I went here twice since I had something business related to do down here. The atmosphere of the diner is the major area that needs improvement but is pleasant. Sometimes a dark, old looking, low intensity environment is good though, especially if you're feeling down as I often am.“

“This location is in a residential area with free street parking. The corner location is cozy with about 10 indoor two person tables & 3 outdoor tables. For parties over four you may want to call ahead. Our wait time was 40 mins on a Sunday at noon. After 1:30pm the crowd thinned out before the late lunch. The menu has shareable breakfast charcuterie as well as smaller single servings with a list of add-ons. They have a drink selection of a large variety of flavored mimosas and light cocktails. They even have a mocktails menu and can adjust both menus to suit the opposite preference. I had French toast and my companion ordered the steak. The plates are just enough to continue the day without being hungry or overly full. The dishes were both delicious.“

I visited this place on the night before Labor Day. Even though it was late on a Sunday night before a holiday the place was bustling with delivery orders and dine-in customers.

Despite the busy atmosphere Qandeel was incredibly helpful and patiently answered all my questions, even encouraging me to ask as many as I needed.
She never showed any signs of frustration and efficiently handled her other tasks as well.

It is, apparently, open 24 hours, which is interesting given it's location right smack in the middle of midtown. I ordered some hot items from the hot bar, which is extensive. I chose the eggplant parmesan with rice. The food was good. This restaurant does not look to be the most hygienically pleasing, but, on the other hand, it was not expensive and the offerings I chose were tasty. The service was OK. One other note is that when I asked for regular water, they handed me an empty cup which I had to fill from a tap, they did not have any of those water filtration systems you see at many other restaurants, kind of a cheap touch.“

“Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection.
