“I haven’t enjoyed Babe’s in over a decade, but out of all the ribs I’ve ever had my life, Babe’s is in a class of their own.

Hidden in West Haverstraw, this hole in the wall is a true gem. I’m sorry to read that they are temporarily closed, but their St. Louis style ribs are honestly the best I’ve had in my life. The dining area is tiny, but quaint. Supposedly Babe Ruth himself frequented there while the area was still rural. The atmosphere is very friendly and cordial, the owner Jerry being a childhood friend of a former professional acquaintance.

The ribs still linger in my mind for the simplicity, but outright perfection in how they were prepared, cooked, served and tasted. Literally, fall off the bone perfection.

I have long left the area but Babe’s ribs are likely one of the greatest meals you could ever enjoy in Rockland County.

I hope they reopen or the profile is incorrect because Babe’s is a hidden gem!“

“AMAZING! Customer service and food quality was 5/5 stars!I ordered lunch for my office and each one of us was able to eat a dinner sized portion for under $10 a person! I called and spoke with a really nice gentlemen, who was super nice and helpful when it came to choosing what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering a family combo (beef ribs, pork ribs, and chicken) with rice and beans and a whole chicken with veggies and fries. It fed 7 people with some food still left for another 2 people.
