“Went in for breakfast. Our server was decent. Walked away as I was finishing telling him my order, which came out ICE COLD & WRONG!!!! I requested a ham, COOKED/SAUTÉED ONION & American cheese omelet, fries and RYE toast with crispy bacon. My omelet was well done, the onions RAW, fries were ice cold my bacon was not cooked and not there had to tell the runner, and my toast was marble. All this for OVER &50.00!!! The server came by, we were basically finished. Asked how everything was. How would he or the runner know our order. Neither one looked at the order. NEVER AGAIN!!!“

“The food is incredible!! And so are the drinks 👍Both my husband and myself were stuffed when we left. Jeff had the turkey burger and I had the lobster roll I asked if he wanted to split our meals but he liked his too much lol I had to eat most of the lobster off the top so I could eat it like a sandwich Took the picture after I ate a good portion off the top Mark and his crew are the best! Thank u again ❤️❤️“
“First time there, went for lunch with a friend, food was delicious, very reasonable. Friendly staff, great location. Chatted with one of the partners, gave us a rundown on the project going on. When completed this will be great for Freeport and the Tri State area. Watch the space for updates and Good luck to all!“

“I work at the local school and didn’t know this place existed for the longest time until my coworker was eating the food and it looked delicious. I don’t eat meat so I got the fried fish, rice and beans and plantain. Omg it was incredible. On Fridays they make a seafood bisque soup that’s just as good and apparently very popular. Friendly workers too. My go-to place for lunch take out now.“

“12/30/25. Fresh coffee took a bit, but arrived hot! Ordered the have it all ($18.79) minus the ham. Each item had tons of butter but was very good. The pancakes and French toast are top tier. Gotta ask for warm syrup (even sugar free). Service by Tae was friendly.“

“It was convenient right off Merrick Rd. The staff was friendly and polite. The area was clean, I did, however, feel like my sneakers had no grip in the sitting area and restroom. And the only complaint I have is that I asked for a coke and got cherry coke, blah!“

“The Texas Ranger restaurant has a wonderful pedigree having been moved to its current location from its former location on the Nautical mile, a restaurant which is now called Rachel's. In the early 80s, my wife and her sister worked as waitresses there and remember the goodness of the food 45 years later. From what I understand, the new owners bought the name and the original recipes for the classic dishes for which the original Ranger was known. Forty-five years later, my wife says the recipes remain true to the original and are definitely worth a visit and revisit.“
