“I went over the weekend to this restaurant following my sister's suggestion. I want to said that she was 100% correct when she claimed that the chicken was the best she had ever had. After trying I can also attest to it, the chicken coupled with crisp veggies and flavorful rice was a good choice. We also tried the sangria and it was pretty good as well.I am planning to come back soon as there are other dishes that I would like to try.At last, the staff was super friendly and willing to please....Kudos to this new neighborhood restaurant!“
“Small and quaint family run Portuguese restaurant. It was a full house so reservations a must. I had the stuffed Lobster which was excellent. The appetizers were fantastic as well. Byob as they don't have a liquor license as of yet. Definitely worth checking out!!“
“Exceptional Portuguese restaurant on the busy Austin Blvd in Island Park. This small, unassuming locations reveals quite a treat once you walk in the door. A warm ambiance is present from the both the decor and personable staff. All of the food was delicious from the pork and clams to the meat platter. 10/10 experience.“
“Spicy chicken sandwich is a 10/10. Actually all then sandwich options were a hit! The reason for not having a perfect 5/5 stars was… if you’re not there at the beginning of lunch. You will have trouble finding seating. Which is a testament to the good food. So I guess that’s a good issue to have. The second issue I had with service was based on their opening times. The store front and website says they open at Noon. On many occasions. We get there at 12 and the workers are just arriving or just started setting up for the day. You would think that a place with a lot of volume. They would start their day before the opening time. So the front doors typically won’t open until 12:10/12:15. When the orders take about 20-3kms to make. It makes it hard to have lunch here if you’re pressed for time. Other than those slight issues. This place is ????“

“It's a very nice little place, they have a live Jazz band on Wednesdays, the drummer also does a karaoke night. He's absolutely fantastic, very funny and no matter how many or little people are there he tries to involve everyone there, it's great.. “I had lunch here today and it was really good! I got the grilled chicken with yellow rice and sweet plantains and two chicken and cheese empanadas.The grilled chicken and rice were good. The sweet plaintains were’t really very sweet how I like them but they were pretty good. The chicken empanadas were good and cheesy but I wish they had beef and cheese instead.Overall this is a pretty good lunch spot, and considering the area not too unreasonably priced. I would definitely go back here again.Parking: There is no parking lot. You have to park in the street.Kid-friendliness: You could definitely bring kids and your family there with no issues.“

Our meal started with delicious beef pastries as an appetizer. For the main course, my friend enjoyed the pasta a la vodka, while I opted for the grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables. We paired our meals with a glass of Portuguese red and white wine.The attentive service by Mauricio, our waiter, truly stood out. When I praised the white wine without knowing its name, Mauricio went the extra mile, bringing an empty bottle for us to photograph. He also thoughtfully changed the TV channel from loud soccer to horse riding, enhancing our dining experience. Mauricio’s timely and polite check-ins added to the overall positive impression.The food itself was exceptional, and we chose to forgo dessert. “Had the bacalao fritters as an appetizer. They had small shards of bone in them. We each pulled bones out of our mouths. My friend ordered the cod named after restaurant. Had bones. No where in menu does it tell you that their plate is BONE IN. Made meal unpleasant.I had lamb chops. I must say they were thinnest lamb chops ever anywhere. Usually they’re 3 double chops in every place I’ve had them. Here they’re 4 single chops so thin you can’t get them medium rare as I ordered. I’d say go but ask lots of questions.“
