The bar is very large with plenty of seating...regulars often eat at the bar to chat with people around them and the wonderful bartenders. Reservations are recommended especially during busy hours. My husband and I started with two signature drinks...coconut Margarita and French martini. One better than the other. We shared a wedge salad which was split in the kitchen and chopped. Delicious! We both had steak, my favorite is Skirt steak, his filet mignon. Both cooked perfectly to our liking...dessert was pecan pie sundae... yummy... The service is the best around...especially the manager Suzanne who walks around making sure everyone is happy...can be a bit loud but the energy is contagious....love it there and so will you“

The same thing goes for the baked potato—way too much butter. If you have to add that much butter to your dish for people to enjoy it, you're not doing it right.The servers were a bit odd, and I do mean more than one. We initially ordered the appetizer and drinks and asked for a couple of minutes to decide on the main course. A different server stopped by a minute later to ask if we were ready to order, so that was a bit off-putting. Maybe they were trying too hard... I don't know. The store manager was nice. The New England clam chowder is like no other. It is very delicious and creamy the perfect consistency for clam chowder. Definitely the best around the Ipswich fried clams are my go to favorite. They are fried to perfection and very clean oil which makes the food very good because the oil is always clean that they cook in. The people that work at Bigelow’s are great. Always welcoming and fun to hang out with by the bar while you eat your delicious seafood, no matter what you get I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area and you love seafood, you will not get any fresher!!
