“Decent spot to stop by and grab a quick bite. Service is friendly and relatively quick. Prices are regular. Ordered their fish tacos which were pretty tasty. Also got a side of guacamole which was a bit bland. Noting for those looking for actual Mexican food, this is not Mexican food, but rather an Americanized version of Mexican food.“

“Our first time going to the Totowa location (met up with friends for lunch). Staff was very friendly and helpful - we decided to eat outside and they brought the food to us quickly. We had the tacos, regular bowl with carnitas and fajita bowl with steak and pina-mango drink. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will come back to try El Pastor. Definitely recommend Sombrero Tacoria.“

“The best place to go for Mexican food ina 10 miles radius.Their plates are delicious for all different people. I enjoy the burrito de carne.I enjoy the tacos ? , the ones made with beef (de asado). I like when they make the guacamole next to your table and they ask you what you want to add to your guacamole...with spicy, tomate, lettuce, lime, onions. The super nachos are delicious and taste. Also the flautas (tacos dorados) are amazing ?Quesadillas..mmmm you have to try them. They are an authentic Mexican cuisine (owner ruben from Guadalaja, ??), they have all kinds of Mexican drinks...their specialized in margaritas, they have frozen style or on the rocks...I hear they are the best in Westchester.I can keep writing about my experiences in many years I went to rubens but it will be better if you go and try all and let everyone about your own experience. On the Weekends they transform the restaurant ina big place to dance and have drinks? , ? dance. Security is one of the priority for them because you can see is not different than a big places in the city.Evey Weekend they have a diferent DJ.“

“Amazing trays of 30 tacos and all veggies on the side! Plus we grabbed some Empanadas too! Today was the perfect day for us to try them since we were right at the mall! The owner was too sweet and brought us all kinds of things to try while we were waiting! The Biria was to die for and he brought us this Mexican Pizza absolutely mouthwatering! It is inside the gas station across from the Palisades! Seriously such good authentic Mexican food! He says you can even call and ask what his special is. He tries different things every week! Let's support a small local business! La Fondita Jarocha“

“2/7/2024I have never been to a Bubbakoo's location, so my friend and I did not know what to expect. Walking in, the space felt very welcoming, and were greeted by smiles by the staff! I decided to get the Mango Habanero Salad with the hard shell base. It was love at first bite.. the salad had the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and the juices from the meat were very savory. My friend got a quesadilla with chicken; she is sensitive to spice.. and the staff were very understanding and avoided adding any spice. I took a bite of her quesadilla and I loved it!I regret not asking for their names, but the man with the arm tattoos went above and beyond with his customer service! He even gave us a free dessert- and that was also very delicious! As you may note, I have never written a review.. that is how amazed we are by the service this location has given to us. Bubbakoo's has gained two VERY LOYAL customers to their New City location.. and I hope everyone gets to try the very delicious TRULY Mexican Fusion and meet the very friendly staff! THANK YOU!!!!“

“You'll leave this place struggling to walk, they give big portions! Also, this is AUTHENTIC Mexican food. We've done lots of traveling and that's something hard to come by away from home (California). The woman who served us was helpful and made sure we had all we needed. This place is on the smaller side but there's some tables where we can sit down and enjoy your food fresh. Highly recommend.“

“I went earlier today(01/15/2023), and this has become my most "NEW FAVORITE HISPANIC FOOD PLACE." The service and hospitality are extremely outstanding. The staff is patient and understanding if you're new and friendly enough to suggest some of the locals' favorites. They have some amazing specials. I loved that the staff was open to customization and embraced my creativity nature. Despite me currently visiting from Las Vegas, NV, I was blown away by the burrito I customized. Granted, it isn't my own creation, although a recreation of an already well-known burrito with accommodation due to my lactose intolerance. It still impressed me for a California style burrito to taste so flavorful without any cheese or sour cream. Even the complimentary chips and salsa were beautifully made. I can't forget about the Orchata as well. It is the best damn Orchta's I ever had! This place is definitely a locals hidden gem that wowed me away. You can tell that a lot of care and love definitely goes into each meal that is created in their kitchen, and this is rare to come by nowadays! I plan to come back before I fly out to. See you soon and keep up the marvelous work! ( :“

“This is a family run restaurant which serves made to order Latin American food. This means that you have to sit and wait for them to cook it because they are cooking it to order for you. It is really worth the wait. I have now eaten here several times, and I have never had a bad meal.“

“Food is delicious, (so far I’ve had the chicken / vegetable tacos, as well as the veggie taco bowl tonight), the ambiance quaint and lovely, service highly efficient, and the prices, despite an economy plagued by inflation, were surprisingly reasonable. I have a feeling this will be my new go to…dining in or for take-out. This place is a day-brightener.“

“Finding QUALITY AUTHENTIC mexican food is hard in Rockland. But this place checks all the marks. No random peas or lettuce in dishes that dont have it. Great salsa verde (sometimes it is a bit spicy, so careful folks). Delicious chilaquiles. Great torta. Hand squeezed orance juice. This is a hidden gem. Somewhat easy to park.“

“Very impressed! Dined here tonight and I was blown away with the quality and flavor of the food.I ordered the Guajillo rub chicken and it was great. The chicken was extremely juicy and flavorful. The presentation was amazing and the flavor hit different. Definitely more intricate and delicious flavors here compared to your standard Mexican restaurant. From the way the food was presented you can tell there is a great chef putting passion into the cooking. The chocolate lava cake was a hit to end out the dinner.Definitely give this place a try, I will be back for sure. The passionfruit mojitos were a hit as well!“

“Was visiting another store in the plaza and dropped in here for lunch. Wasn't busy so we were able to pick our seats. Nice drink menu and the margarita was large. The salsa tasted really fresh and had a little hint of spice to it. Loved the beef flautas. Service was friendly and fast. We also had a shot of coquito at the end that was delicious!“

“Not familiar with the area so I just picked from the phone map app. Brought us to a busy street, with a lot of eateries and so much Halloween decor. Coco's is a small place, with 3 tables and a window seating area for 3 people. But, so many people going in and out. Luckily, there was a table when we got there. We ordered at the counter and someone brought the food to our table. Pretty big menu so we tried some food which were new to us. Pancita is a red, spicy soup with tripe, served with soft tortillas. Seemed like a soup with a lot of chili-type oil so wasn't for me; I just ate the tripe pieces with rice and beans and I liked that better. Chimichanga was fried, filled with a lot of shredded beef and cheese - a bit salty so needed to eat with the salad and rice and beans it came with. Lengua tacos were ok, no distinct flavor or texture for me. Elote de la esquina was boiled corn (not grilled) with a generous amount of cotija cheese and red pepper but was neither too salty or too spicy, which was good for me. Smart to put in a tall plastic drink container.Street parking - we were lucky to find one nearby though.“

“Top notch Mexican food at a great price. Aquas frescas are amazing, authentic, and at least 20 fl. oz. Prices are perfect. Small dining room, but they do not cramp the tables together. Spanish-language talk shows or telenovelas on a 50" screen blare their Central- and South-American equivalents of nonsense TV. It all makes for a perfect combination of a good lunch somewhere. The food is top notch, with the chips/salsa plentiful. Want guac? It's homemade and, if I recall, $8 for a ton of it. Their plates will overwhelm you, again, for a reasonable price. Plus, seasonings are spot on.You have to go there. Tip well. I know I will again after a luncheon there once upon a random time.“

“You must try this place. The food is delicious and always freshly made to order. I drive 35 minutes to get there and pass plenty of other Restaurants on the way, it is truly worth the trip. Mango Guacamole is a must, and if you're into Tequila there are hundreds of brands to choose from. If they don't have it, it probably doesn't exist.“

“This place checks all the boxes for an authentic, family run, home-cooked experience. The menu is a mishmash of printed page and handwriting, the staff and clientele are nearly all Spanish speaking, it is spotless for dirt and there is Mexican football on the telly. The food is good. It's not fancy, and that should keep the snobs away, but it has the essential combination of scent, visuals, taste and the inner warmth a cook who loves a dish can make. You can do the El Typico half chicken, tacos which my sons say are rocking, steak platters in all their various combinations, and these wee Jammie cake style pupusa things. A novelty for me, very popular in Latin America apparently, they are enclosed buckwheat pancakes with a choice of fillings. Some of which you've never heard of, so try them. This is grass roots cooking, and I am a fan. In a low sodium World, the tropical propensity for salt is punkette, the spice combinations are unfamiliar but pleasing. Part of the meal I ate was a little dry, but that's what the excellent salsa is for, and everyone at the table is coming back. There is no booze, which is a good thing in working mens establishments playing football, and the while the drinks selection is authentic it is limited. Expect to pay fifteen bucks a head per adult, leaving plenty of opportunity for a jumbo tip. Don't go if you are stuck up.“
