“Empire Coffee & Donuts is the best. The atmosphere is cozy and homey, and they make it clear that everyone is welcome. A whole shelf of board games?? Yes please! The staff is helpful and kind, and the drinks and pastries are wonderful—they have creative and affordable drinks for coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers alike! I love their matcha latte with lavender syrup. As a student, I really appreciate the longer hours and the selection of meal options for long study sessions (highly recommend the breakfast tacos). Empire is such a lovely and unique space, definitely give it a try!“
“Lovely experience at Java 44. We are new to the area and wanted to explore some cafes. Had two yummy hot chocolates. The barista was very nice and chatty. The inside was clean. Java 44 is attached to a food place. While we didn't order food, the food looked delicious. Plus the wifi is fast (if you are working).“
“This coffee house is relaxing with plenty of seating options and soft music in the background. A good place to study, or read a book. Their menu items are prepared from scratch, and they support and use locally sourced ingredients with some organic choices as well. They also have a good amount of merchandise offerings. I ordered the "Deluxe Avo Toast", however I'm not sure how the egg was prepared. It tasted like an egg, but it was a perfectly round dome shape with no variations of color or texture - It was uniform all the way through. Possibly made in a shallow cupcake pan ? I also want to say that it had a soft rubbery texture. I've had scrambled eggs made in a mold before, but there was still some variations of taste, color and texture. I also ordered the "House Made Granola" - The blueberries were huge, and the house made granola was crunchy and not over roasted. The coconut flakes were fresh.“
“The owner was behind the counter, and I came in later in the evening. The coffee was very good so of course I had to try the cheesecake. I loved that it wasn’t too sweet, but it had flavor and a great consistency. The atmosphere was really fun a little, funky old school, but comfortable while I’m in town. I’m definitely gonna go back and try something else there. This is the kind of place we want to see more of :-)“
“This place has very experienced Barista's - Their "Cortado" is perfectly balanced. I've been to many, many coffee houses in many places, and their Cortado is even better than most of the local coffee houses where I live. Their menu items are also prepared fresh. I ordered the "Yogurt Parfait" and after finishing, I could of ordered another one. They also have good choices of store merch - I would come back again !“
