“Found this spot on Google while I was upstate and thought it was worth the 20 mins drive. It was!!! The pastries are delicious, service was great and tons of options to choose from. I loved it so much I even bought a t-shirt and 2 dog baguette toys for my pups. If you’re in the Hudson Valley area, and hungry (… and rich! lol), def make a stop here”

“Via Cassia in Hudson is one of those restaurants that people whisper about. The kind of place that consistently lands on “best restaurant in America” lists and books out weeks in advance — for good reason.
Chef and co-owner Gaetano Arnone, alongside his wife and partner Meigan Arnone, brings serious pedigree to the Hudson Valley. Arnone’s time as Chef de Cuisine at Babbo Ristorante and Executive Chef at Otto immediately caught my attention. Babbo, in my opinion, was the first Italian fine-dining restaurant in New York that truly made fine dining feel cool — sophisticated but unstuffy, with interiors and food that worked in perfect harmony.
So naturally, I was thrilled when I finally cleared the waitlist and secured a 7pm reservation.
After a full day exploring the Hudson Valley with my brother, we sat down excited to dive in. Unfortunately, my body had other plans. Something I ate earlier in the day decided it wasn’t staying put — and I found myself sprinting to the restroom before our first appetizer even arrived. Not exactly the Via Cassia experience I had envisioned.
We quickly pivoted, packed up our salad and pasta dishes to-go, cancelled our entrée, and called it a night. I left the server a $50 gratuity for the trouble and walked out deeply disappointed — mostly because I knew I was missing something special.
The silver lining? The food we took home was fantastic.
The Insalata Via Cassia with Radicchio Castelfranco, Trevisano, toasted almonds, and Parmigiano Reggiano was vibrant and beautifully balanced. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncino with roasted garlic and Calabrian chilis was simple Italian cooking at its best — bold, clean, and deeply satisfying. And my brother ate the Bucatini all’Amatriciana with guanciale and pecorino was exactly what you want from the dish: rich, comforting, and perfectly executed.
So yes — technically my Via Cassia dinner ended before it even began. But based on what I tasted, I’m convinced the hype is real.
Next time, I’ll arrive a little hungrier… and skip breakfast and lunch entirely.”

“I ordered dinner last night since it was too hot to cook and everything was really good. Their sauce is fantastic! I got a chicken parm sub that was full of chicken and the best chicken parm I've ever had. We always get the vegan pizza for my boyfriend. It's awesome that they have that option(even if it doesn't have vegan cheese.) And they always give a ton of fried dough. They give you plenty of food and it all tastes fresh and amazing 👏”

““Pho’s Greek My American Kitchen” in Catskill is dope. Creative interpretations of Greek & Mediterranean cuisine. Fresh ingredients, subtle seasoning, all homemade, pretty tasty. Reasonable prices for elevated comfort grub. Great mixologist at the bar and relaxing environment. The service is impeccable and the vibes welcoming. The spanakopita is one of the best I ever had. The handmade pappardelle w/ duck confit ragu is very satisfying. Yes, you can also get gyros and souvlaki but don’t miss out on the grilled octopus! I highly recommend the “Athens After Dark” cocktail made up of Town Branch Bourbon, walnut liqueur, Cardamaro, black walnut bitters, angostura bitters, demerara and a twist of orange zest. Damn. Get some! Great service. Creative and tasty interpretations of Greek and Mediterranean eats. Fresh ingredients. Very good mixologist at the bar. Relaxed comfortable environment. Get some!”
“Amazing pours with at least one selection served on cask via hand pump that will appeal both to the classic styles fan and those looking for something different. The tap room has the feel of a well designed backyard pub with focus on good conversations with friends.”

“The Historic Village Diner in Red Hook, NY is a unique piece of history that you can experience a great meal at. The diner is a 1927 Silk City model. At the time of its manufacture the diners came prefabricated with cups, glasses, and silverware. On the side of the diner as you walk in you will notice the diner’s old name, the “Halfway Diner” because of its location halfway between Albany and NYC. The diner has a ton of historic and nostalgic value.
The food here is great and the diner has a large dessert menu. It is possible to dine in or order take out. Portion sizes here are large. If you dine in you will love the ambience of this diner with its counter and booths. The service here is great! No place serves food and history better than this one.”
“We had a hard time finding the place at first. but we're glad we did. :) Good beer, good vibe and the food was delicious. We had a smashburger and fries, the deviled eggs, and the hand cut chicken bites which I loved and were served with the tastiest ranch sauce I've ever had. Will definitely come back again next time we're in the area.”

“This place is amazing. The dry aged steak is on par with any of Manhattan's best steakhouses. Every bit of food was fresh and delicious, and the presentation was perfect. The portions were very generous. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful. The staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The chef owner, Jeff, came out to greet us and make sure we were enjoying everything. Everything was perfect. The experience here is how every restaurant experience should be.”

“My husband ran a 5K at Olana and we stopped here after - the waitress/host was VERY kind! I enjoyed the tallest (and probably best tasting) Avocado Toast I’ve ever had!! It was a very unique set-up and the food was nicely prepared & so fresh!!! I have to say, though, that as a wheelchair-user the creaky floor was unsettling. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-31”

“We were out and about in Hudson today and we were a little hungry so we stopped into kitties and I had probably one of the best egg sandwiches I ever had. I highly recommend the egg sandwich with sauerkraut. The vibe in there was very comfortable iced coffee Was nice and strong. They had a great bakery selection and a lot of local products. So if you’re coming out of the train station in Hudson, I say swing by kitties you won’t be sorry.”
