“My family and I have lunch at the Glenville Diner every few weeks. They have an extensive menu, but we love the daily specials which always include a cup of soup. The diner has great soups-my favorite is the chicken and vegetables. I also like to order the chef salad- more to than enough for a second meal with a great variety of meats and veggies. My husband usually orders breakfast which he thoroughly enjoys.. It's​ a nice restaurant which draws a lot of seniors in the area. Enjoy!“

“My husband and I chose to eat lunch at Glenville Applebee’s today. We had an amazing server named Sarah! The restaurant was short-staffed, but she made up for it as best she could. She brought a smile and a happy demeanor every time she came to our table or was serving another table.
While we were finishing our meal, Sarah discovered that a group of people walked out without paying their bill. Although obviously upset about it, she handled the matter professionally.
Not only should Sarah see a financial “thank you” come her way, She should TRAIN other servers how to exhibit GRACE UNDER PRESSURE. My husband and I were greatly impressed.“

“This restaurant is Schenectady’s Best kept secret. I’ve been there several times for lunch and it never disappoints. The service is spot on from when you walk in the door, no pun intended but I’m in a wheelchair(handicap accessible) to when you are leaving, opening doors and exchanging goodbye pleasantries. The place itself is immaculate, shiny floors, beautiful atmosphere, great background music and above all delicious food you know is prepared to order. While being there for lunch, I ordered off the dinner menu with no problem, as the staff is extremely accommodating. The menu includes a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate.
Next time you’re looking for a great, quiet and delicious place for lunch or dinner, give Chez Nous a try you will not be disappointed. They have private spacious rooms for small private events and I will reiterate the place is spotless and extremely comfortable with GREAT FOOD!

“Broadway lunch has been one of my favorite places for years. Their to go orders are always perfect and always hot and very quickly prepared and ready. They have the best hotdogs and meat sauce, onion rings and coleslaw! That’s my number one order! I should branch out more, I am sure they have many more wonderful things on the menu. Along time ago I used to get their Buffalo chicken wrap which was heaven! With onions, tomatoes and the Buffalo wing sauce. Sooo good!“

“Stopped tonight and we enjoyed the whole experience right from the start. Our server, Audrey, was very pleasant, and the service was fantastic. We decided to have appetizers instead of a meal. We ordered bang, bang shrimp, Buffalo chicken egg rolls and Philly steak egg rolls. All three were exceptional. I’m having a hard time deciding which I liked the best. My husband thought the Philly steak egg rolls were the best. The Manager ( or owner, not sure which) stopped by our table at the request of our waitress. I thought that was really nice. We highly recommend Maxon’s and are looking forward to going again.“

“Wow! What a busy night! These should be nothing but compliments for the staff, in the front of the house, and behind the scenes. It seems the autumn light show down the road has had quite an impact. We went on a whim, disregarded the suggested reservations, but were able take seats right away at the end of the bar. Best of both worlds....A little bit of patio atmosphere and dining room comfort as the temperatures began to drop. And a glimpse at the extra hard work involved this evening. Praises to Jennifer as she greeted us, offered us something to drink, and advised us if we were ordering there would be an extended wait, (a large number of parties, and parties with a large number of people, seem to have arrived all at once). She said she would rather be up front with people than to have them disappointed with a wait. The expected delay was explained to every party that entered following us It was amazing to watch the coordinated efforts of the three waitresses working as a team. There was no time for idle chit chat while disregarding the needs of customers, but there was still time for smiles and laughter. Work behind the counter was fast, deliberate, efficient and the customers had no sense of stress or overwhelm. Each interaction I overheard was friendly and attentive. Another thing that I was impressed with, especially sitting at a bar, is that with an extended wait, those who were drinking, alcoholic beverages , were not pushed or encouraged to purchase more than usual to fill the time. Therefore the environment around us remained the same. Our meals came in the time projected, (mine a crock of french onion soup and my husband, a Roadhouse burger with onion rings.) Each item as tasty as we have come to expect. I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for an enjoyable evening.“

“Dairy Circus is always wonderful!! Large portions, reasonable prices (so uncommon these days), and the girls behind the windows are always so sweet! They also have the best toasted coconut dip! Thank you so much for being a place where our family can gather for a delicious treat!!“

“French onion soup is AMAZING and the ruben sandwich is very tasty too. Unfortunately the calamari was a bit overcooked BUT when the owner come over to simply ask how everything was and I mentioned it, he wisked it away and returned with a different appetizer- no questions asked. That is the type of service that has kept this local hometown restaurant tops in my book.
Would hands down recommend The Charlton Tavern any day of the week.“

“We were blessed to be married here. Cindy did an INCREDIBLE job with literally everything. From decorations, to planning, to cooking. Everything was beyond amazing and more than we could’ve hoped for. We loved working with her and had the wedding of our dreams because of her. We wish we could relive it honestly! “Had an excellent dinner this evening at C & R. Started with a red wine sangria for me and a Heineken for my companion. We both ordered from the "specials" list.....broiled salmon for me, filet mignon for him. We both had salad with a tasty raspberry vinaigrette, companion also had a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. His steak was cooked perfectly to his specification (charred on the outside, medium on the inside.....not easy to do with a steak on the small side but the chef managed to pull it off). It was accompanied by french fries. I was presented with 2 beautiful pieces of salmon filet. There was no sauce or glaze on it but it didn't really need any. It was moist and delicious. And the vegetable medley served with it was also delicious. And it was all available at a very reasonable price.“

“11-14-2025 My mom had a hair appt close by today so I picked her up to have lunch at The Bellvue Cafe. She had chicken soup and a Rueben with fries. She raved about all of it. Some of the best chicken soup around imo. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. I loved seeing her enjoying all of her meal! I had chicken soup and the brisket pot roast. The carrots, onions, celery and taters were all cooked perfectly and not mush. The brisket was so tender I just used my fork. Mom took half her soup and Rueben home as she couldn’t finish it all. She did enjoy the rice pudding with whipped cream for dessert too. What an enjoyable day! 10 outta 10!!!!“

“We LOVE the restaurant, and recently decided to book for a private party upstairs and it was perfect—plenty of space, a great full bar up there, and delicious food. The staff was amazing: attentive to our guests, constantly replenishing food, and keeping the area clean by clearing plates and cups throughout the night. We also loved the cornhole and music, which really made the party feel fun and relaxed. We had a wonderful time and want to thank Tom and his team for helping create such great memories!“

“When on a quiet night with three adults and four children. Was not busy. Food did not take long and was delicious. Our server / waitress was phenomenal and funny. Salad bar was fresh and loaded. The cheeseburger I had was fantastic. Only downside was they didn't have fountain drinks or water unless it was out of the bottle. Not their fault although with the limitations especially for children I didn't expect to get charged what we did for every drink. Normally yes. But it's not our fault that your machine is broken. Four kids drink a lot of chocolate milk lol. Anyway that's more of a management complaint then with anyone that we dealt with. Our experience was good. Although I generally avoid chains this particular Ruby Tuesday's always seems to deliver.“

“In town for a little bit just was driving by and saw New York rangers flying out front. I'm a rangers fan and the game was on at 7:00. I went in there at 6:30 sat at the bar bartender put on the anger game and was very attentive. Great service. I didn't ask his name but he handled the whole bar. Good people. No craziness. Ordered a Heineken onion rings which both were fantastic. Look I'm mostly interested in good servers and someone that's smiling and that's what I got. The bar stools were far enough apart where you weren't hitting shoulders or elbows with other people who's good nice hometown bar. I miss it. I live in Scottsdale most of the year and everything's a free-for-all. I don't care what bar you're in

“I went to Raindancer. Amazing appetizer. The salad came if they took other people’s left over salad & just threw it on a plate. Sloppy presentation. Waitress apologized saying she had to prepare the salad. No one was working in the kitchen. Then the 12 oz Prime Rib was full of fat. Manager just cut the fat off & told us she prepared another Prime rib. We were charged full price for the meal, that took long. The had was small and barely noticed it was stuffed. Disappointed. The food & service usually is great. Don’t known what happened.“

“In the past year, I’ve ordered an appetizer, the flatbread pizza at least 3 times. It’s always been delicious with just a little bite to it. Tonight I ordered it and it was excessively spicy hot. My tongue and lips were on fire! We told our waiter and he said he’s had other complaints this past week about it being very spicy hot. I couldn’t even eat it. My husband switched meals with me. The waiter did ask if I’d like something different but seeing my husband switched it wasn’t necessary. Has this menu item been changed?“
