“We stopped here on a trip across NY. We were looking for a quick on and off the interstate with fuel, food, and a restroom. This had all 3.
We got the lamb gyros and fries, waiting 10-15 mins for our food to be made— which I prefer over something that had been sitting for who knows how long. Both employees who helped us were friendly and welcoming, and double checked we were okay with the wait for our food to be ready.
The food was outstanding! I definitely recommend.“

“A Truly Special Reunion in a Beautiful, Meaningful Place
My husband and I stayed at The Silo Retreat while attending a class reunion with our classmates — including Judy, one of the owners, who graduated with us. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt personal, joyful, and incredibly special.
The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and it’s clear how much care, vision, and hard work Judy and John have poured into the property. You can truly see their dream taking shape right before your eyes — growing, expanding, and becoming something really special while honoring the history of the area.
Our reunion gathering was held under the large wedding tent, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather was beautiful, the setting was stunning, and everyone had a wonderful time reconnecting. It was one of those rare days where everything just comes together effortlessly.
The accommodations were fabulous. The rooms were comfortable and welcoming, and the carriage house was especially lovely. It has a great little kitchen — perfect for morning coffee, storing food, or preparing simple meals — which made our stay even more enjoyable and convenient.
Given our long shared history with the area and with one another, being able to gather here made the experience even more meaningful. We left with wonderful memories, full hearts after spending time together for the first time in a long while, and a deep appreciation for what Judy and John have built — and where they’re headed.
The Silo Retreat is more than a place to stay. It’s a place to connect, to celebrate, and to truly relax. It’s beautiful, welcoming, and the perfect getaway. We absolutely look forward to staying here again.“
