For a new establishment I guess I was expecting a bit more … maybe ask if we had been there before? Seems she took our order and disappeared. But the server assistants were on point. Dinner was really good. We will go back… because of the food. Even the manager walked pasted us a dozen times. There were 6 tables.. perfect time for manager to mingle… just saying. Place is very nice, great menu too. Just left feeling ignored. Nice music too. Maybe the server was having a bad day? The tamale was perfectly moist and savory, and the taco Pescadero was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also devoured the steak quesadilla, which was cheesy and full of tender steak. Don't even get me started on the empanadas—both the chili empanada and the chicken and cheese empanada were phenomenal. We can't wait to go back and try more!“

“One thing I miss about living in Long Island are the Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, they're not of the highest quality, and usually they're in a cheap location, and the horrible customer service is always a given, but I do enjoy the food every once in a while.

After searching for a Tex-Mex restaurant, I stumbled across Taco King. This location is actually pretty big with plenty of sitting space. My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected.

However, it was crazy expensive. I know I sound old, but I remember that only a few years ago, the same dish was about $8 or $9. Now it's over $17! I would gladly eat here more often if the price was cheaper.“

They treat you with respect and dignity. When you order triple chicken, they give you triple. They do not scrimp.

This is the only Mexican chain restaurant that I will go to. The other one's portions are disrespectfully small.

The burritos are huge so it could feed two people of a smaller appetite. The quality of ingredients are also good. Great alternative to Chipotle.“
