“Fun fun fun. Cooking your own on demand food is a blast. Go with a date or a whole party. I highly recommend choosing “all you can eat”, so you aren’t restricted. I’ve been here twice once for BBQ and the other time for hot pot. I shall return!“
“Absolutely fantastic service, attention, food and atmosphere! Every appetizer and entree was mouthwatering delicious. I enjoyed the grilled branzino which is one of my many favorites. 5 star food! We were there for my dad's 87th birthday, there was no problem accommodating his wheelchair. After they took a group photo, our nice waiter kept an eye on my dad to make sure he didn't need help maneuvering back into his spot, when he saw he was fumbling slightly the waiter stepped right in to help him adjust the chair perfectly. Our waiter even surprised my dad with a piece of birthday cake and sang along with us in celebration. They all treated us like family. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
“We love Johnny's restaurant! The ambience is really nice and cozy. Delicious appetizers! Lovely freshly made pasta; I'm a big fan of the tagliatelle. The excellent desserts are from Villa Italia so you get to support two amazing local business with one meal out. Service is always great; we try to get seated in JoJo's section when we go as he is top-notch. I mentioned him previously as well. He goes way above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I just cannot say enough good things about him and this restaurant. I hope you'll go check it out soon if you have not already. We are going again in the near future, already have a reservation set. See you all soon!“
“My friend and I were grateful that the table requested (booth) was provided. We both had the grilled cheese (we both asked and received the alteration of Swiss cheese only) and the tomato bisque soup. Delicious! Server was appropriately attentive and efficient, and professional.“
“From the moment we walked in treated like family! Apps, entrees and desserts all amazing. Desserts all homemade! Our table had several apps shared. Entrees for us Ahi Tuna, Winter Halibut, Fish Tacos and a Lobster Roll. One land Lubber had the burger with crispy onions and some of the best fries I ever had. And. THE OYSTERS! We did the Shuckers Platter. AMAZING!Waitstaff was awesome. Laid back casual comfortable atmosphere with soft perfect dining lighting. This place will be a regular stop for us as well as picking up fresh fish to go for home cooking.Parking: Huge clean newly paved well lit lot. Left on 7 East leaving can be tough so go right and double back for safety when traffic is heavy.“
“I used Google and found this restaurant. I liked the reviews, so I placed a Curbside Pickup Order. The Lady who took my order was super friendly and very thorough.I ordered Three the Hard Way with rice and peas and cabbage. I added a side of Mac & cheese and plantains.OMG! It was SO MUCH FOOD...AND it was still hot when I got home!Well, the Jerk chicken was very palatable (most jerk is TOO spicy for me). Stew chicken and curry chicken were very good, as well! Cabbage, rice and peas and plantains were good. Mac & cheese was okay. (I'm a hard judge of Mac & cheese. It needed a little more flavor.)Overall, I will certainly order again!! I'm looking forward to trying more dishes!!Price was great considering how much GOOD food you receive!!I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“One of the best restaurant experiences. The service, the food, atmosphere! All of it.Drinks- Kyoto sour! Delicious! Also the sweet and spicy was great too.Food- the NY strip was so good! Juicy and full of flavor and kind of crispy. Loved it.The scallops! Amazing with the pea risotto! Delicious! Can’t say enough things. This place was incredible! Will definitely be back and experience some other dishes.Katina was awesome!!! Very helpful and gracious!“
“Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere! Came in from out of town for a hockey tournament and we were staying at the Hilton right next door and thought we would pop in for a quick bit. So glad we did cause it was the best food we have had in a while! Our waitress was an absolute angel as well! We will absolutely drive the 3 hours just to come back and eat here ?“
“Great prices during lunchtime. Everything we ordered - tom kha soup, pad see ew, panang curry and basil fried rice was very flavorful and good. The spice levels are no joke. We usually do 3-4 at thai restaurants, here we were warned and got 2s and it was still quite spicy. Highly recommend!!“
“All of the food was very very good but the asada fries were above and beyond, I will remember those fries for the rest of my life. Portions are large, especially for the price but flavor does not suffer. The drinks are even big, if you get a lemonade they bring you a mini pitcher with a straw. Everyone was super friendly. There's a few tables inside, a couple outside, and a bar you can sit at. But for real, get those asada fries.“
“Went for lunch and everything was amazing! Can’t wait to go back! Loved all of decor and theme of the restaurant. Our server Amy was so friendly, so kind, and knowledgable about the menu. I wish I took pictures of our boils, they were so delish. Cooked perfect, hot, and great flavor!!!“
“Last Saturday night was so much fun! We came in for a comedy show, and decided to come a little early for apps and drinks. Our waitress was super nice and talked us into sharing a sandwich with our apps. The French onion soup was delish just like everyone told us it was. The portions are huge! I watched what people were ordering around us and I couldn't believe the portion size“
“The food is delicious my mother’s favorite spot & mine. Staff is very polite & professional.Vegetarian options: Variety of foodsKid-friendliness: Staff is very polite & loves childrenParking: Convenient parkingWheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in & out of the restaurant.“
“This was our first time @ Kitchen 216.The staff welcomed us & were very friendly despite being busy. The food was prepared to order. We went with the following meals; sweet jerk & teriyaki baked chicken, fried chicken & fried shrimp. Our sides were Mac & cheese, candied yams and corn bread. Everything tasted Delicious! We will be back to have the collard greens as with this trip they were all out.Definitely a hidden gem in the 518!! ☺️“
“I loved this place. We were there right as they were about to close on Friday. That didn’t stop the amazing customer service here. MeAnd 3 of myGirls enjoyed 4 seafood boils. Every boilWas cooked so cook andFull of flavor. The fruit tea was so cold and refreshing. They didn’t rush us out and the setting just makes you wanna cozy up and stay for a while. Great job over there. I’ll be back!“
“I stopped into this restaurant this afternoon with a coworker as I was in the Albany area. I've never heard of this restaurant, but was so excited to find the quantity of reviews on yelp. When we rolled in, we found out that they won the war for the best Italian restaurant in all of Albany for 15 years in a row, can you believe that they beat the Olive Garden for this honor? I had the chicken Parm and it was tasty.“
“My wife and I came here for our anniversary and the food was delicious!! It is a bit pricey but well worth it. The service from our waitress was wonderful, she was also very friendly and attentive. My only complaints are: #1. the tips being automatically charged. I am a tipper, don't get me wrong, but in the state of NY tips are optional. I was planning on leaving a tip a few dollars more than what I was automatically charged but when I got my check and saw that they charged the tip themselves, I just paid what they charged on their own. #2. I chose the flavor "punish me" and my dish wasn't spicy at all. I love spicy food and when I saw "punish me" I thought I was going to receive something really spicy but didn't. I'll definitely be back to eat here!“
“If you are a beer conisseur, this is the place to go in this area, I am not a beer lover and they would only serve me a local whiskey "neat". It's pretty good. I had the cheeseburger egg rolls and they were delicious. Pretty busy place full of locals, always a good sign.“
“I live in Philadelphia, Pa. And every time I come to Albany I come here. I'm so glad they put one in Albany bc we had to go outside of Albany to get one. I think they should open one in Philadelphia I'll be the 1st one in line ???“
“This place is a legendary staple for local vegans, and I'll get takeout from here at least twice a month. I've pretty thoroughly explored their expansive vegetarian menu over the years and I don't think I've ever disliked anything. My favorite appetizers and entrees change every year, but my current go-to as of writing this is the chicken, beef, and pork in garlic sauce. The pork-fried rice is also ridiculously good. Their General Tso's with the May Wah chicken is sometimes a much-needed break from the tofu that all other Chinese places limit us to. That all being said, a recurring issue with Empire Wok is the inconsistent answers when it comes to distinguishing the vegan from the vegetarian items. I've asked a dozen or so times over the last decade and it is almost always different. Same goes for most others I've talked to about it. This isn't just frustrating for puritanical ethical vegans like me, but potentially dangerous for those with allergies. A while back, I had the one owner go through the meatless menu and cross out anything that contained egg-this included the lo mein and egg rolls, of course (these are basically never vegan, anywhere), but also the sweet and sour chicken that I spent years eating after this same man told me it was vegan. Days after he marked my menu for me, I returned as a vegan family I knew was ordering the sweet and sour chicken and lo mein, because he'd told them it was vegan! Past a certain point, and having asked the same question in multiple different ways, it can't be blamed on a language barrier or a misinformed employee. The food is just too good, though, and you can't find anything like it anywhere else in the 518, so I keep going and just stick to what I know. Hopefully what I'm eating is vegan? “Came for hot pot and really enjoyed it. Great flavor broths and nice selection of meats and vegies for it. The menu was like 30 pages long with the their regular non hot pot options. The food I saw at the tables around me looked excellent. They have a bunch of different live fish available. I will definitely be back to explore that extensive menu further.“
“I can't say enough good things about this place My meal was AMAZING ? it was exactly what I was hoping for. I search for other restaurants in the area and no one really had this type of dish with the white wine sauce with butter garlic. I added fresh squeezed lemon and it added so many more layers and depth to the dish. I got the seafood combo. They have a mix drink menu if you ask.The staff were super friendly and nice and I loved the atmosphere!!!! It felt rich and cozy ?“
“Ordered two lunch specials to go. Fries cooled off quickly even though was eating it right away. Unusual red relish sauce was a disappointment as we were expecting regular tartar sauce. Fish portion was a good size and crispy.Parking: Shares a driveway entrance with Pizza Hut“
“The food is always good. The people are nice and helpful the pudding was good and the carrot cake was delicious mom and my son enjoyed every thing mom loved the soup Phillip love the clam fries and ? i love the fish even thing good took food home for another day.“
“I give this restaurant five stars with a little hesitation. Here's the reason. I called on a Friday night to order some chicken parmesan. I was told they don't make chicken Parmesan that night they will be making it the next night. What good is a menu if you're not going to cook the food on that menu? I hung up the phone and went home. The next night I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was spectacular. Everything was just perfect the sauce the chicken the cheese the ziti it all work together perfectly. I will definitely be going back to try the eggplant parm. It would be nice if they included in the menu the days that they would be making each individual item it would take a little longer but it's the right thing to do. All in all though a great place for food.“
“First time here in over twenty years. Obviously, a lot has changed. My wife and I were running errands, and wanted to try something different. We weren't totally sure about this place, but it was certainly a pleasant surprise. The service was amazing and the food was excellent.“
“Hubby and son and I went here for Mother's Day. It was our first time but definitely not our last. Upon entering, the staff was friendly, offering us a choice of inside or outside dining. The dining room was roomy without being over crowded. Attempts have been made to help with the acoustics so the noise level was very good. It was very easy for us to have a conversation without excessive background noise. The food selection was excellent - ranging from elegant to as simple as a hotdog. Our selection was smothered brisket, salmon and English cut prime rib. The food arrived hot and looked spectacular. There was even a small orchid on my prime rib plate. And it tasted as good as it looked. Save room for dessert - limited selection but the apple pie is one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The crust was like puff flakey pastry and the filling had just the right amount of sweet and cinnamon. It iscreaon enough to come back again.Parking: This restaurant is also a golf course so parking is more than adequate and is fully paved. They also have traffic flow set up well to help with entering and egressing the venue.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant was very accessible with adequate close parking and doors that chairs could enter without hinderence.“
“Born and raised in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, I grew up surrounded by some of the best Spanish food in NYC. Fastforward, and Saratoga Springs has nothing, just bad Mexican food. One day, walking around in the mall, I ran into this place! Being PR and DR, I appreciated the dynamic they have and the food is fantastic! Par with the best New York City offers. You'll love this place a ton!! Enjoy!“
“first time eating here...showed up on a saturday night, surprisingly empty? Bartender and one regular "Tony" kept it lively at the bar and included me in conversation. Food was EXCELLENT drinks were great and everything was fairly portioned...looking forward to coming back again and bringing friends. There's some street parking, but a parking lot is right next door.“
“My wife and I stopped in for the first time this past Saturday and smiled when we saw the sign for Fin Your Fishmonger! Had to go in and look. Left for a few and came back and ordered the smoked bay scallops, smoked salmon and smoked bluefish because we didn't have a cold bag to bring fish back to the house 45 minutes away. The scallops, salmon and bluefish were absolutely delicious and will be a regular order for us. The store was clean and charming and didn't have any objectionable odors. The young lady who helped us was sweet as can be and engaging! Very rare these days with the younger folks.Nice selection of fish and it looked fresh. We also noted they were bringing in some fresh cases of product. Next visit we will be prepared with a cold bag or 2 and some ice packs.Going to try the fish tacos next visit.“
