They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

Most of the time I will leave my dog outside, while I purchase bread & pastries. I dont know if the Woman that is always there is the owner, but she is the nicest person i ever met. I am a regular attendee of this bakery. Since I had throat cancer, I really can't speak so I carry my phone with me for messaging. Every day I usually buy bread a cannoli or Apple turnover. I point to the lady what I want. Many times there are young ladies working the counter. They are all wonderful and helpful. Now they let me and my Dog enter the bakery. He is very well behaved, most of time i buy a small cannoli for Duke. My Wife loves the Cannoli & the Apple turnover. I always leave a tip for them. Whether us winter, summer, rain, snow, heat i have to stop and get a pastry or bread. The name if the Bakery is appropriate. They are the ultimate.“

I mean, come on—it’s Christmas Eve, the vibes are immaculate, I’ve got my playlist of Mariah Carey on repeat, and I’m ready to channel my inner architectural genius. I carefully assembled the walls with what I thought was “premium” royal icing (spoiler: it was basically sugary Elmer’s glue). Looked sturdy enough at first. Cute little windows outlined in yellow, a sprinkle roof that screamed “holiday cheer.” I even added a gummy candy garden for that extra Pinterest touch. But then… ambition struck. The roof. Oh, the roof. That heavy, candy-laden beast of a gingerbread slab. I slathered on extra icing for reinforcement, but it wasn’t enough. The whole thing started sagging like a bad facelift. Desperate times called for desperate measures, so I grabbed the Nutella—because nothing says “structural integrity” like chocolate-hazelnut spread, right? I basically mortared the roof on with a thick layer of that glorious goo. For a brief, shining moment, it held. And then… catastrophe. The roof caved in with a tragic crunch, sending gummy bears flying like fleeing villagers. Walls buckled. Icing cracked. And the boss/owner intercepted and said, everyone has their own taste and took it upon himself to scoop a sample of it and I like how despite how everybody is in the fast lane and next next next (outside this place) he took the moment to go above and beyond and thats the italian way. It made me smile. Amongst the decadent gelato, the ambiance, the hospitality is what puts the cherry on top. And btw my uncle said a lot of the gelatos hes had have been ice chips but this one, perfecto. Dolce far niente. Like sitting in the car, together, reunited for the holidays, enjoying gelato.
