“This is the first winery I had ever gone to. We were staying in Watkins Glenn and wanted to try one of the many wineries in the area. We happened to pick this one because it was fairly close. What luck! It turns out Hazlitt is one of the larger wine producers in the area and the makers of a super famous line of wines called Red Cat. The tasting room was a great experience. The person who led the tasting was very friendly and informative. We liked most of the wines and ended up buying a number of bottles to take along. I highly recommend this winery if you are in the Seneca Lake area. If you aren't from New York, make sure you buy LOTs of bottles before you leave because this wine is almost impossible to find in other states. I had to order some on-line to replenish my stock!“

“Loved the beer that we got from here. Nice dynamic list of beers that can tickle your fancy from a black IPA through pilsner. We tried one of everything that was on tap and found zero issues with any of the beer at all.
Food from Babes (on site) was also darn good and a great accompaniment to the beer.“

“Delicious burger and wine pairing! Give Red Newt a try for your next weekend lunch, you'll be glad you did! I had the newt burger with fries and a glass of Red Eft. The local ingredients create a hearty meal that fueled me rather than weighed me down. Can't wait to try another burger or a grilled cheese and soup. They put an elegant twist on all they do with bright and friendly staff.“

Some reviews complain about service, but I think people come in with unrealistic expectations— this isn’t fine dining, it’s a small local café with amazing food and down to earth people. “We stopped in yesterday and had a nice bottle of wine. Assistant Wine Maker Rhett Seeley stopped by to chat. Never met him before, but he was passing by and we asked him for some recommendations. He was extremely helpful and friendly. We ended up buying the wines he recommended as well as some beautiful garlic, a bag of coffee and some wine glasses! They are known for their dry reds and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend adding Hector Wine Company to your list of stops along the wine trail.“

“Spent the first weekend in October, going to different wineries around Seneca Lake on both the east side and west side. This one was by far one of the best. The atmosphere is great, the service wonderful! The wine samplings were perfect, and the food was the best that we had at any Vineyard. We got the wings, which were probably some of the best I have ever had anywhere, olive appetizer and their chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Everything was cooked perfectly! And so so tasty!

So I packed the family and headed out to prisebox. we got there and the owner handed my daughter the pad of paper to take orders and had her right it down and the prices and then add the total up. This is fantastic in my eyes and the whole crew of people are always so friendly and caring. I love going and eating there when we can. I highly recommend the Prisebox where your prise is in the box as they say on their sign. Keep up the great work and will be back again soon. God bless you all“

“we popped in for some karokee on ours girls trip to Watkins Glen. the night was amazing and so much fun! The bartenders were fabulous and know how to make a drink! The prices were surprisingly low for the amount of alcohol they gove ya!!! I recommend the specialty drinks. Everyone there made us feel so welcome and we danced and sang the night away!!! “Their food is good, service is fast, and it’s pretty cheap! The cheese pizza and buffalo chicken pizza were both flavorful and good sized slices. They had two almost full cases of pizzas and calzones to choose slices from and we were served right away. Three slices and a drink came out to $14. The only minor complaint is that it’s a little too greasy, but nothing out of the ordinary for chain pizza.“
