“I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve had garbage plates from Dogtown & Nick’s (the OG). I got a half-plate, which was still a huge portion weighing probably four pounds, with mac’n’homefries and cheeseburger topped with the cinnamon (mild but tasty) meat sauce and “a little bit” of onions, mustard, and ketchup. This was BY FAR the most delicious garbage plate I’ve ever had. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here. And it’s less than a 10-minute, quick’n’easy drive from Rochester General Hospital (so skip the Wolfgang Puck despite the convenience). I will add that the young woman who took my order was kind and friendly. The meal “to-go” was ready in less than 4 minutes. And the food was delicious, not at all greasy—literally PERFECT“

If we weren't in a hurry we'd probably have reserved early and ate at standard table instead of the higher chairs near the bar.“

“My husband and I have lunch here every Wednesday. The food is always great and we love Natasha, our regular server. She’s so sweet and so accommodating. We love her!“

“Ok I dig this place. It is homed in an old gate check building at the entrance to this address. As you approach you will see the signs. It is very small. You walk in and will see the large menu board on the wall. To the left will be the register and the kitchen area. And to the right will be the 2 tables you can eat at if you wish and they are free.

This is not a place to plan to sit down with a large group and eat. It seats maybe 8 people. And often people get their food to go. This shouldn’t stop you though.

I came in after I donated blood up the street at the Local Police Union. I was hungry and wanted a big burger. On the board I see the Buddha Burger.

This burger has 3 beef patties, three slices of cheese, a round ham slice similar to what you’d get on an egg McMuffin, and bacon.

I added banana peppers, tomatoes, and pickles.

The burger patties are not hidden behind a super high fat content which I love. If these burgers were 80/20 I’d be very surprised. It keeps the flavor of the meat without drowning it out in grease. I was worried that the burger taken to go with three patties would soak through the bun but it did not.

When I got home I could see this thing was big. I opted to cut it in half to make eating it slightly easier. You can see the photos below.

“Reunion of a few hockey players from the 1970's for lunch today . Our waitress was Molly and she was (Johnny on the Spot) from ordering to getting refills on our drinks . We were very pleased with the Tenders , French Onion soup and the Burgers ! Even the popcorn was great . The $11.99 lunch menu was perfect . Molly was one step ahead of us whatever we needed and it cost us about HALF of what we paid at Distillery on our previous lunch .

“Really disappointed in our order tonight. Chicken fingers had a stale chemical taste. Hot meat sauce made my cheeseburger plate inedible as it was strikingly hot from previous experiences on plates. Bacon burger also had an odd taste. Not sure what the deal is as this is not the norm for our experience there.“

“I love this place. I love these people. I live in the south but I have been wanting to order the famed garbage plate for years. I called ahead because I realized that I was going to arrive two minutes after closing (I drove a long way to get there). They took my order over the phone. For a couple of bucks more they added a couple of hot dogs to the plate. Best hotdogs ever. Fantastic! amazing! It's a long drive but I am already planning my next trip back. Just go there.“

“I absolutely love Bill Gray’s and I moved away six years ago. I was so looking forward to my cheeseburger, onions and hot meat sauce. We got six meals to go. “I got off my closing shift next door and didn’t have anything to eat at home so I decided to stop by shake shack. The wait in line at the drive through was a little long but I didn’t mind since it was late. Got to the window and the man at the register was so kind. He asked me how my day was and gave me a discount when he learned I work next door. We chatted while he applied the discount and ended up giving me a free sandwich coupon. He was so sweet and it really made my night. The burger and fries I got was good too!

About a week later I ended up back there (this time dining in) and the cashier/manager recognized me immediately and helped ring me out. Once again he was really nice and he even remembered that I’m a college student. The chicken sandwich I got was nice and crunchy but also juicy and I love their fries. I got their Yule Log holiday shake and it was fantastic. One of the workers was going around the dining room and interacting with everyone and was also very sweet!

A little pricey for a college student, but the workers are all very nice and the atmosphere is lovely. The food isn’t instant-fast but it’s great.“

“This is by far the best plate in Rochester!! The garbage plate wrap is AMAZING! They also have a sauce called panther sauce that elevates the plate! The only suggestion I have is they need to figure out the phone situation. I feel like they unplug the phones on purpose so they don’t have to take more orders. “A "neighborhood bar and grill" with much better food, drinks, and service. I've been there over a hundred times and love the consistency in the experience. The dining room is separate from the bar area if you want a quieter environment, but there are also tables in the bar area and outside. It's also great for take-out - the online ordering is a little flaky (hint: check out as guest and don't try to make an account) but you can always call your order in as well.

The staff here are always pleasant, and my Impossible Whopper is consistently excellent—every single time. Kudos to this team for caring about what they do and getting it right!“

“My family of 7 celebrated my daughter's birthday here on Friday, March 4.... a large variety of food choices were ordered by us and everyone was very pleased.Our server was great and very patient; even considering that it was Friday!
