“We needed a quick bite in between touring West Point and this was the perfect spot. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The chicken fried rice was cooked just right; the chicken was seasoned well and the portion was a plate full. The Mongolian beef had plenty of meat and fresh vegetables, it was served with steamed rice. The chicken and broccoli was served with a brown sauce and plenty of chicken and vegetables also served with steamed rice. The service was quick and friendly. Drinks are sodas and waters served in cans and bottles.“

The people working at the Wild are seemingly the happiest service workers I have ever met and the turnover seems minimal. Every single person is so warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu items. They all seem to genuinely care about and enjoy the guests and each other, including the leadership. Perfect eye contact, presence, never overbearing. Just the perfect service cadence. The vibe they all create together has immediate impact and makes the guests feel part of it.

Presentation on any plate or drink, day or night is exceptional and extremely elevated for the price point, especially. The flavors are divine. Food comes out fast and hot every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 time 👏🏻. Not to mention absolutely everything on the menu is gluten free???😭

Someone is always cleaning something and the space is beautiful and cozy inside & out. They have a little grassy park area in back where you can just read with a coffee if you want which I love. They clearly take so much pride in what they do every step of the way.

As a person who lived in the city for a decade and has worked in f&b for 20 years, I think it is remarkable for an all day cafe & restaurant to be operating at this level anywhere. Bravo to all, I will be a forever customer.“

“Dined here with my family tonight for the first time and we ALL loved everything about Hudson Taco. We started with a large order of guacamole that was really good followed by many tacos, two bowls, street corn, a side of beans and a side of fried plantains. We loved everything that we ordered and look forward to returning soon. Also, I wish that I could remember our servers name because she was just that good! “First time trying Sri Lankan food — and I did not expect to have this kind of experience in Beacon, NY! From the outside, it feels like you’re walking into someone’s home, and the inside has that same cozy vibe.

We came on a Sunday around 1 p.m. after hiking for some fall foliage and were happy to find seats available. There was just one person taking orders, so it took about 5–6 minutes to place ours, but that gave us time to really look over the menu.
Here’s what we tried:
* Appetizer Sampler – 2 fried fish balls, 2 spring rolls, and 2 small veggie samosas. (7/10)
* Deviled Pork – Must try! Perfectly crisp edges with a slightly chewy texture, full of flavor — sweet, savory, not greasy — all over fluffy yellow rice. Absolutely delicious and not that spicy. (10/10)
* Hopper with Goat – The hopper itself was so interesting! It’s a thin, bowl-shaped pancake to pair with the goat. (8/10)
* Sri Lankan Tea with Milk – As a milk tea lover, I was so happy. The ginger and spice blend gave it such warmth, and they even serve it with a piece of brown rock sugar if you want it sweeter. (10/10)
* Watalappan – A spiced coconut flan with cashews for crunch — rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. (10/10)
* Kiri Peni – High-quality yogurt drizzled with a light sweet syrup — simple but so good. (9/10)
The food came out fairly quickly, and we were done by 2 p.m. The portions are on the smaller side, but with an appetizer, entrée, and dessert, we left feeling satisfied and not bloated. This makes sense since they take pride in using just spices to cook without oil.

Prices are a bit high for the portion size, but I would still consider it a gem in Beacon. I’d definitely come back to try more entrées in the future and check out a spot in the city!

“So im only giving it a 4 star because I havent tried everything just yet but my favorite roll is here and it was only at one other place and it was because the guy who made it, made the menu here. I was thrilled they had my favorite roll here because the other place isnt open anymore:( the sushi here is delicious here. Although I think it needs a little more tightening with the sushi rolls, the sushi is fantastic. Volcano roll specifically. Absolutely delicious. Thats my favorite roll I mentioned earlier. The way they torch the spicy mayo and pour it over the sushi literally makes it melt in your mouth. There is also one waiter id love to give a shout out to and his name is Sergio. Fantastic service by him both times ive had him and is great at what he does. Ask for Sergio to serve you!! Anyways. Sushi here is fantastic and I will be coming here more :) oh! And the atmosphere is awesome! Feels like youre in Japan. Great vibe. I wish I could give it a 6th star lol“

“We love everything about Sal's in Beacon and in Fishkill. The staff are some of the best I've experienced anywhere. They're welcoming and friendly, and they're kind to my kids. They greet everyone with hometown vibes when you walk into the store. It really feels like family! Their pizza is delicious too - we all have our favorites, but I prefer the BBQ chicken (for the sweet/tangy flavor combo) and margarita specialty slices. Lex served me today she did an incredible job as always I work all the time was very down and it felt good to know after moving back to putnam valley I still have my favorite hangouts. Carl deserves a lot of credit too I will never forget the covid shutdown how sad he was for his staff just a guy who cares. Theresa and Stephanie should run their own place one day they are that knowledgeable of the business. I hope Ashley still works there shes brilliant in life became like a sister to me thats how frequent I used to go there when I lived at home. I am writing this so corporate understands these are hard working people who go above and beyond. By the way let them choose the music as long as its not explicit so they don't have to hear the same songs all day switch it up.“

Authentic Revolutionary War Era Inn setting with phenomenal dinner menu for Thanksgiving. 4 of us came here for Thanksgiving- my wife, me and her parents, we all got something different and this place did not disappoint on anything. The chateubriand filet mignon and New Zealand rack of lamb were on point in every way. The side vegetables- the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the arugula, the green beans, and the carrots were all perfectly cooked to an optimome composition and coloring. The popovers were a nice throwback a little dry but the strawberry butter more than made up for them. The dessert the Belgian chocolate mousse was impeccable. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of this place was very Yankee in a great way, it reminded me of Olde New England Inns and Taverns. Pricing wise it was not the most economical menu but doing Thanksgiving at home with guests wouldn’t have been cheaper. I definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in a place like this come here as they will fully enjoy. We did not reside here but if their hotel accommodations are on par with their dining accommodations, you will get what you pay for and then some.“

“Chapala Grill is in New Windsor out toward Vails Gate and it’s such a staple when we’re craving Mexican food. This restaurant isn’t your fast food type of Mexican. The details in the colorful carvings on the chairs and tables always make me so happy.

“We had such a great time at Hurricane Grill & Wings in Newburgh! From the moment we walked in, the staff made the experience outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything; the bartender mixed up some excellent drinks, and the manager came by to check in, making sure everything was perfect.

But the real highlight of the night? The entertainment! An Ozzy Osbourne look-alike took the stage and completely stole the show. Between the spot-on voice, the wild energy, and the fun atmosphere, it felt like we were at a rock concert.
