“Exceptional food. Take out and dine in has been a 10/10. Their pasta is cooked to perfection. Their sauce is phenomenal. I highly recommend villa nigrelli. I come from Long Island where I’ve had my fair share of amazing Italian food and this is definitely in my top 5 places. That’s a big compliment. Seafood was fresh.“

“M&J's Catered food for my party, everything was Delicious! I ordered trays of Penna ala vodka, chicken marsala, eggplant rollatini, Walldorf salad, and Chicken Milanese panini. I can't recommend this place enough whether for lunch/dinner or catering events! The chicken Milanese Panini is absolutely amazing!!“

“This is a very nice pizza place, I live down the road and can walk there. The people working there are nice, respectful and are willing to help out their customers. (I was even offered a ride home by the delivery driver when it was raining the other day) The food is delicious and made right, and I get pizza here a lot. Not only are they a pizza place, but they're your typical gas station store where you can get chips, soda, beer and ice cream. They also have a deli.

The only complaint I have is the prices, a large plain pie costs ~$30.00 and the chips are ~$2.70 for a small bag and ~$5.30 for a large.

“At one time I lived in Poughkeepsie and often frequented the Milanese. The food was outstanding but the accommodations were at the time subpar. Close together seating where neighboring conversations were easily heard. Loud talking diners nearby were often obstusive. I recall a couple were about to be seated when the gentleman curtly told the waitress "If I wanted to sit with those folks I would have come in with them."

Years later still the case. We were seated very close to a table of 5. They were indeed loud talkers and we were uncomfortable until they left about a half hour later.

I got the stuffed shrimp
Delicious! But my side of pasta didn't come until 10 minutes into the meal. That presented another problem. There was one server for the whole dining room. The poor guy was frantically running to and fro like a crazy man. We felt sorry for him

My companion got the lasagne dinner and felt it was very tasty though substantially light on meat.

Generally my return to the Milanese was a disappointment. Uneven food quality and below average seating and poor service.

I doubt I'll be back.

“First time here for a private party and i cannot say enough great things about not only the food but the staff also. By far one of the best upcoming restaurants in the Hudson valley. The pizza was so flavorful, fresh with perfect crust n that’s coming from someone whose family owned pizzeria for years. Another must have is the house made penelle which aside from my nonna making it I’ve never had in any restaurant. Last but not least the cannoli were some of the best I’ve had in months. This place is 1000% worth the drive from anywhere in the area. Will be coming back asap“

“We went in to AMA expecting a pizzaria but instead found a beautiful Italian restaurant. They use fresh ingredients to create the most amazing dishes. Our server Libby is a fantastic ambassador for the restaurant - enthusiastic & knowledgable about the menu and ingredients they use. We ordered everything she recommended - eggplant parmesan appetizer, Caesar salad, pesto & burrata pizza and the figura pizza. Every first bite was an "eyes roll back in your head" moment. We took the chocolate mousse cake home for dessert - absolutely delicious. Luckily we have leftovers of everthing to enjoy again! In addition to incredible food, the service was spot on. Libby was attentive and the hostess, Shay, checked in as well. It was a great experience all around. My husband and I are self proclaimed food snobs and we were very impressed. We are looking forward to returning to AMA with friends and trying out some of their other dishes. Everything about AMA is fantastic - atmosphere, service, and incredibly delicious food.“

“My wife and I recently found this place about a year ago. Have gone 4 times and have had nothing but exceptional service and food. I sort of want to keep this place a hidden gem. They recommend reservations, but walking in should be no issue for a small party of 2-4. However, every time I make a reservation, we are greeted and seated immediately with our table prepared and water already served, which is a nice touch. Not many restaurants actually prepare the table for the reservation that was made previously.Each time we have had the same waiter which has been great. He is always accommodating and polite and attentive. Other staff have also been friendly and kind.Soft butter is always served to go with the delicious bread. The fried calamari is great. The chicken parm is good. My favorite has been the NY Strip with Gorgonzola cheese melted on top. Cooked perfect each time. The cheese gives it a great flavor that just works well together. Had it twice and my wife also had it and it’s delicious each time. And for dessert the tartufo is probably the best I’ve had. Highly recommend.We have decided to make this a place for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversary’s. It’s a place that we truly enjoy and look forward to coming to for years to come. Highly suggest it. Prices are very reasonable. Much more expensive places with mediocre food. This place is worth every penny.“

“Food was excellent. Had the swordfish, the crispy polenta appetizer was so tasty. My girl had the crispy chicken with polenta in brown gravy which was really good. Ordered a side of brussel sprouts which were perfect. And topped it off with coffee and Limon cello tartufo ooh wow! This was all for our 1st anniversary and had a great meal. And not to mention our waiter Rich was very helpful and just made the dining experience that much better. More waiters and waitresses need to be like him. Can't wait to go back for another meal.“

“Truly amazing food. We were in the area Saturday and found Gappy’s as a nearby place to eat on our Google map app. We took a chance and could not have been more thrilled. It does not look like a lot in the outside and I think that was appealing to us. We were hungry and tired. The inside was beautiful though. Very very clean. The bartender told us that we could sit anywhere we’d like. She immediately brought us over menus and got us a couple of drinks. The menu was huge and offered so many different dining options that no one could leave there hungry if they tried. I ordered the Gappys sampler appetizer and my husband had the fried ravioli and we split a salad. We probably should have stopped there because we were gently full at that point. Our large pizza came out. We had the meat lovers and added mushrooms and jalapeño peppers. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly thin. we were only able to finish less than half of it but did take the rest home. Service was attentive. Prices were great and the food was amazing!!“

“Hands down, the best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had. My whole family loves it. It’s our favorite pizza spot because of it. Only downside is the parking and the staircase when you first walk in(because you can’t push the stroller up it lol) .Only poor experience I had here is , I placed an order, and paid over the phone and asked if they wouldn’t mind bringing it out to the door so I could pull up and not have to take my kids out of the car (with the baby in the car seat lugging that thing down the street & then back with a pizza box in your hands as well as your sons hand - it’s a lot- especially if you don’t get a close parking spot, it’s a busy street) but they said they no longer do curb side pick up…Not the end of the world just annoying.But as far as the BBQ chicken pizza goes - flawless.

Parking: Parking is hard , not a lot of places to park, it’s a very busy street.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair or stroller accessible- short staircase when your first walk in the doors to get to the register/ tables/ etc.“

“I cannot recommend Mel's enough! I purchased the Holiday Catering Special for a work party and the food was amazing! I added a 1/2 tray of eggplant rollatini and also tortellini primavera and this easily fed 30 people (with leftovers!) My co-workers were raving about the food and I easily said it was all from Mel's. This special catering combo is the perfect mix for any party!!! (I will also add I ordered on Monday morning and picked up Tuesday evening! Quick service as well!!!) 👏“
