That’s not an exaggeration. It really was next level. We ordered a fully frosted chocolate cake with seasonal berries and crème fraiche, and it was simply divine. “Vegan baked goods??!! Let's give it a try. Dulce de leche - not too sweet at all, a good nutty flavor. Buttercream is not sweet and the cupcake itself is very moist Oreo - a bit dry on the outside, the buttercream has mashed up oreos in it, which doesn't make it creamy but with a crunchier texture. There isn't much of a chocolate taste. My least favorite Dark chocolate - the cupcake itself is on the dry side and less chocolate taste. The buttercream is smooth and a rich dark chocolate. Carrot cake - very moist and soft. You can see shaved pieces of carrots. I think it needs a pinch more of cinnamon. The cream cheese buttercream on top is on a sweeter side but really creamy. I didn't like the carrot decorations bc it's too much food coloring in it. Overall, I'm a fan of vegan cupcakes as it's not on the sweet side. There is a balanced ration of buttercream to cupcake. The chocolate cupcakes needs to be baked a bit less and need more chocolate taste.“

I should note that this bakery is more of a "buy a loaf of bread or a tray of cakes and take them home" rather than a "grab a singular bun and eat it there and then" place (although the baker kindly prepared a couple of buns from our tray of buns for us to enjoy right away). “I can't give Sans Bakery enough compliments! Their service and care about items shipped is better than anyone I have dealt with past present and probably future.My sister wanted to order a Lamington cakes for my birthday. Brian made sure I was shipped what my sister had ordered; the six individual cakes that are wrapped(I thought it was the cake). However, UPS in their divine wisdom, deemed it necessary to ship them on a scenic tour. They didn't arrive on time for my birthday but that was NO FAULT of the bakery's. I want that to be perfectly clear. I reached out to Brian and while I was disappointed that I wouldn't get them on time he was so kind and empathetic that I couldn't stay upset for long. Again, I thought it was the regular cake and not the individual ones. Brian said he would ship replacements but once I saw they were the individual ones and confirmed they were still fine to eat, I was happy, my sister was happy, all was well. But Brian wasn't having it, he was unhappy that UPS failed us both. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I received another box of the Lamington cakes! I was not expecting that. I was perfectly fine with the outcome but Brian again is an amazing person and he didn't appreciate that this was a representation of his bakery by UPS's failings. So now I have plenty of Lamington cakes and they are freezable so I put a few away so I can enjoy them later.As far as being true Lamington cake like the original in Australia, it took me right back to Adelaide where I had my very first one! Oh my goodness they're so good! “Sweet (no pun intended) little bakery in Kew Gardens. The shop is not big and the selection is not huge but what they have is very good. I took home two Guava Puffs which were very good. The Crust was sweet and grumbly and it was bursting with Guava. I also took home something I had never tried or seen elsewhere. It's called French Nut. This one was filled with Apricot. Mom and I split it and it was enough to fill us up due to its richness. It was ?. The prices are very reasonable. The lady working there was very helpful and pleasant.“
