“Kohaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've been coming here for over 30 years. The owner and staff are always courteous and nice. The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise. It has eight pieces and is a delicious meal especially in the summer. I also like their delicately fried shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables and sauce. Before your meal, they bring out a vegetable appetizer which is nice. I highly recommend Kohaku for lunch or dinner as well at take out.“
“My wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try on a whim. Fortuitously we had a fantastic experience. The service was top-notch. Has a friendly and welcoming allure. We were attended to promptly and never waited too long for our meal. The arrival of the food proved to be promising, beautiful, and most certainly delicious. The menu has a great variety. Giving us several styles of food to choose from. The price was responsible considering the quality and quantity.“
“I had the split ramen and appetizer combo. The ramen was very good and it was very filling. The spicy wings were the best wings I had in a while. The taro bubble tea was also very good. Sarah H was also provided us with amazing service, always making sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place!“
“A friend recommended this restaurant to us to celebrate my dad's birthday. The food and staff were both great. The owner was also there that evening and was super nice, she came out to greet us and to wish for my dad to have a wonderful birthday.“
“Finally a good Korean bbq and hot pot spot on Long Island! Love that you can choose yourself all you can eat fresh ingredients which are constantly being added every few minutes. They are so clean and have hot foods and sushi as well. The desserts are delicious. I did both the Korean Bbq and Hot pot which were delicious. Loved that you can mix and match your own sauces and make everything yourself.Customer service is wonderful as well! Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this place.“
“Beautiful restaurant, we made reservations yet had to wait as they overbooked. We waited for the server again. Server took our order, did not receive any bread or water until I mentioned that we felt neglected the manager came over & apologized. Great food, crab cakes were delicious.“
“here you will find unassuming decor and fantastic quality fish.not your typical strip mall sushi joint. Taka offers Tokyo level quality sushi; authentic, fresh, minimalistic. well worth a 45 min drive. try the omakase. i have been coming here for over 7 years and have never been disappointed.“
“My husband, my 2 teenage boys and myself went there a couple days ago for NYE dinner before Billy Joel concert. The food was authentic and delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic! The owner was so pleasant and helpful. He made you feel like family. Highly recommend this place. If we are in the area again, we will absolutely go there! Loved it. Thank you Frank“
“So I came to motor vehicle to drop off my plates and this place is right next door.My friends and I returned next weekend and it is now my new favorite local restaurant. We ordered quite a bunch of different things from the appetizers as well as an Old Bay shrimp boil and a Mussels boil. Calamari was ultra tender. Healthy portions, healthy food and reasonable prices! The walls are alive with tropical fishes swimming as beaming from overhead projectors.Looks like quite a bar too;though we were there for an early dinner.Highly recommend.I don’t understand the negative reviews from a year and more ago. This place only opened six weeks ago.“
“If you are looking for the best sushi on Long Island FUKEE is the spot. I have been to my fair share of sushi places and nothing even comes close to the freshness and quality here. Spicy kani rolls, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna rolls, green salad and miso soup are literally the best I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been on a 60 day cleanse and I’m counting down the days it’s over so I can get FUKEE again. I usually get it a few nights a week and every night it’s better and better if that’s even possible! I cannot say enough great things about this spot!! If you never had it; this is your sign to go, you won’t be disappointed! They have a customer for life, words can’t describe how much I love this place <3“
“My boyfriend usually gets the Mongolian Beef with rice. Everything is of good portion, CONSISTENT (very important), and unbeatable prices!! The service staff is also very attentive and warm. We’re looking forward to our next visit back… which will be soon!“
“So I'm in this shopping center often but this is my first time at Kirazu Sushi. There are about 3 dine in table plus a few seats at the sushi bar. I sat at the sushi bar with my husband. It was a busy night, lots of takeout orders and all tables filled. I really liked the vibe of the restaurant-fun music playing you want to sing along to. All other customers were returning customers, the owner greeted many by first name. Lovely waitress who was kind and the sushi chef was non stop making sushi for everyone. The staff running the restaurant said it was a busy night so the sushi might take a little longer. It wasn't an issue at all because it was so nice listening to the music they had playing on a stereo and we ordered and enjoying our night. Once the food was served, I thought my sushi was great. I'm a lover of a dragon roll and sushi sandwich and the sushi chef did a great job with the ratio of all ingredients and flavors. I was really pleased with my meal and so was my husband. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual sushi dinner for locals of the neighborhood to enjoy. I will be back!!Thanks for a great experience“
“Went on a Monday when a lot of other sushi places are typically closed. I am happy to report that the fish was very fresh. We did the omakase. It is $120 a person for 15 tastings. They also offer 10% cash discount. The staff were very attentive. The inside is very modern and clean. The omakase was a great experience with various different flavor profiles. I liked that the omakase included appetizers and dessert. Definitely would recommend.“
“Love this place, the drinks are great, the fried oysters are to die for! And the rolls are pretty good as well, Staff is very friendlyParking: Decent sized parking lot but there are alot of other businesses in the strip so it depends on how busy everyone is and when you go“
“I love the buffalo cauliflower pizza.sweet and tangy.the garlic tomato pizza was equally delicious. dough is crispy and doughy at the same time. fresh ingredients is the key and they don't mask the natural flavor of the ing with a lot of oil pour over the pie,I am not a pizza lover but this is a place that is on my radar screen and I certainly will return too.“
“This was my first time here and I’m slowly becoming a fan of steakhouses. Our server Chris was really great, he was active in being apart of our experience. We got to meet Chan one of the managers and he was friendly, funny, and definitely personable. The foood!!! Big portions for sides and steaks/meats. Everything was delicious I got these mushrooms in brandy (chef’s kiss). All in all, this was definitely a date night for the books.“
“First time coming back to this steakhouse since they changed from One North to Opus Steakhouse several years back. The appearance is very classy and open concept. You can see into the kitchen from the main dining area. The restaurant has a pre-fixie dinner special Sunday-Wednesday for three courses (appetizer, entree with a side and dessert). Within the menu there are some choices for an upgrade price in the appetizer and entree categories. I got the spicy tuna crispy rice sushi, skirt steak with potato pave, creamed spinach and the creme brûlée. The spicy tuna crispy rice had a nice balance of flavor and texture. The skirt steak was seasoned nicely and I enjoyed the potato pave with thin layers of crisp potato. The creamed spinach was flavorful and complimented the steak well. The size of the sides are easily sharable. The crème brûlée was the perfect ending to the meal. Creamy, just enough sweetness and delicious. I appreciated that there were options for mocktails there too since I'm currently not drinking at the moment and can enjoy a nice fancy drink. They were about $10 each and had some interesting options. I got the orange beauty which was almost like a tequila sunrise look without the alcohol. It was very tasty. Our waiters were great and answered any questions we may of had. They were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely will be returning in the future.“
“What a treat eating chicken katsu and sushi, all gluten free! The waitress was very kind and mentioned that almost everything on the menu could be made gluten free safely. The restaurant was a little small on the inside so I was glad we made reservations, hoping some day they'll make it easier to order gluten free take out online.“
“Kashi is my go-to sushi spot, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fantastic, especially their signature rolls like the Mummy and the American Dream, which are always fresh and flavorful. Their appetizers are tasty too, and I highly recommend trying them. For dessert, the fried Oreos paired with green tea ice cream are a must-try. What's more, the staff is always friendly and great, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Overall, Kashi earns a perfect 10 out of 10 from me! It's a top-notch sushi restaurant with great food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service.“
“This is SUSHI!! Legit sushi on the island. We came here to celebrate valentine's day and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, only one of the few places on the island that has all the unique high end fishes e.g. Uni, Wagyu. They even have omakase which is impressive. We enjoyed their chef special rolls, BBQ Squid and Cracked Uni Roll. Highly recommend those.“
“1. Run, don't walk to Osaka! 2. Order extra of the spicy kani salad 3. Order everything! It's OK, you can afford it, the prices are incredible. 4. Enjoy! Go about the rest of your trip... dream about spicy kani salad. 1. Come back 2. Find out their closed 3. Cry Go about the trip again! 1. Come back 2. Order 3 more spicy Kani as everyone in your group who wasn't here before freaks out about how amazing everything is... 3. Cry about going back to FL where there is no Spicy Kani Salad“
“Sushi Vogue is a lovely restaurant. Was not crowded when we were there so was not noisy and a very pleasant dining experience. Service was excellent. Food was very good, especially the cooked food. Miso cod, delicious. Only complaint was that the sushi fish was VERY cold. Needs to be served at more room temperature to be completely enjoyed!!“
“Fast order pickup and great quality food. Never disappointed. Sushi prices and other food prices are great as well. I haven't had a single thing that I didn't like. I'll frequent this place weekly.Vegetarian options: Salads, sushi, soups, veggie plates“
“Seated immediately. Drinks arrived promptly. Had to ask for water refills, then they began to be automatic. Appetizers ordered. Good portions and delicious but a tad too much garlic on the baked clams. Salmon a bit dry. Small portion of ice cream for affogato , I've had larger. Noise level a bit high. Will return.“
“I'm an avid sushi lover and always like trying new places. This was my first time at MoCA. The ambience and decor were nice. I love the design of the seating area and bar. Booths were super spacious and comfortable. My husband and I ordered 2 appetizers (Mini Rolls and Indian Pancakes) and 2 specialty rolls (American Dream Roll and Baja Roll). Everything was delicious, just wish the rolls were a little bigger. Definitely on the smaller side compared to tons of other sushi restaurants I've been too. Honestly, we were still hungry after that. So order more than you think. We were going to order the Mille (Green Tea) Crêpe Cake but they ran out for the night. Looked really promising though. For cocktails I first ordered a margarita and I feel bad saying this but, it was one of the worst margaritas I've ever had and my husband agreed. It didn't taste anything like a margarita, and it was sour and just weird. However, the waitress was nice enough to switch out my drink and I ended up ordering a Jalapeño Mango Martini instead, which was delicious. Overall everything was good just wish the sushi had a bigger serving.“
“First off we didn't have Sushi. We went there for lunch and our food was fresh, delicious and wasn't expensive. The servers were very polite and attentive and the food came out in in less than 5 minutes after the appetizer. Sitting is limited but we had no problem around 1 pm for lunch. I love the Bento box and had the lunch special. Comes with miso soup, ginger salad (which is mouth watering) and i had the chicken Katsu, with battered vegtables (eggplant and I think pumpkin). My wife had the Chicken Udon soup and it was tremendous. For the appetizer we had the pork Gyoza (similiar to dumplings) and they were light and very tasty.“
“Very much enjoy dining here. Small, clean, friendly, nicely appointed, excellent food. We especially like the pizza sushi... Fresh chopped sushi on top of a thin crispy pancake... May have been scallion... It was wonderful. Also enjoyed the terriyaki salmon. Will definitely be back“
“8 years after the first time I stepped in here; and if anything, the food has gotten better! Service is fantastic. Always so eager to help. You can always hear one of the servers explaining to a new customer, the difference in fish and their flavor/texture profile. It's a smaller place but cozy and not cramped. I prefer the sushi counter but anywhere is a good time since the food is out of this world.“
“Such a wonderful spot in the south Huntington / Melville area. The staff were all so inviting and the restaurant was beautiful and clean. The food was great. Started with the lobster tacos. Really good amount of lobster, good crunch, and the sweet mango sauce was a good combination. For my main, I got the Farmingdale roll. The combo of the spicy yellowtail, and the pepper tuna and pepper salmon worked so well. I really enjoy the peppered fish. The sauces on top weren't overpowering either. This really is a nice spot to go. Great for a casual sit down or even a date night.Parking: Lots of parking.“
“Best hibachi around lately, just be aware they have a lot of birthday parties so the lights will occasionally go dim and they'll start playing birthday music and all that. If you can get past that the food is great, a decent value among hibachi restaurants, and very generous proportions, especially with the fried rice.“
“I recently ate, at your establishment and felt compelled to express my sincerest appreciation for the exceptional culinary experience I had. Your sushi truly exceeded my expectations, and I believe it is necessary to highlight the outstanding quality and freshness of your offerings.Upon hearing of a sushi place in the mall, I must admit that my initial expectations were not very high. However, from the moment I took my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. The Broadway roll, in particular, left a lasting impression on me. The delightful crunchiness, coupled with the freshness of the ingredients and the generous serving of crab meat on top, created a harmonious explosion of flavors in my mouth.Beyond the culinary delights, I would also like to commend your staff on their efficiency and attentiveness. The service I received was impeccable, enhancing the entire dining experience. Furthermore, I must mention the delectable sauce that accompanied the sushi. It elevated the taste profiles and added a unique twist to each bite. This attention to detail truly sets your establishment apart. One aspect that I found particularly appealing was the availability of authentic Japanese soda. It is rare to come across such beverages in many sushi restaurants, and it truly added to the overall authenticity and completeness of the dining experience.I firmly believe that your establishment deserves the highest praise and accolades. The quality of the sushi, combined with the efficient service and attention to detail, are unparalleled. This hidden gem in Long Island is undoubtedly deserving of a perfect rating, warranting an impressive 10 out of 10 stars from me. I will undoubtedly be returning soon to indulge in more of your exquisite offerings.“
“One of the best tasting, freshest sushi spots I've been to yet.I order out here at least 2 times a month, and I've never been disappointed by ANY of the food. The regular rolls are great, the special rolls are perfect, and the appetizer or small plates are fantastic. One of my absolute favorite rolls was the pepper tuna. Try it, you won't be disappointed.Parking: Small lot at the restaurant and extra night lot across the street.“
“Sushi is always great! Reasonable prices as well. Prices have gone up recently like every other place, BUT they are the only place that also increased their portion sizes. Rolls got bigger! So well worth it!Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough for take out sushi. I keep coming back. There's a few seats inside as well, which are nice, but they definitely cater to take out a bit more.“
“I've driven by here a few times before but never tried it until recently. I was there on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. There were tables with the grills and ones with out. Obviously if you want hibachi then the grill seats are the only option. You may end up sharing a table but it's not bad. I only had the hibachi this time but they also have sushi here as well. The hibachi is cooked right in front of you and the cook puts on a little bit of show too. Good for the kids if you're dining with any. The hibachi comes with soup, salad, vegetables and fried rice or noodles. I got both. The meat they have steak, chicken, shrimp, and lobster I believe. You can also get a combination as well. I had the steak and shrimp. Food was good and the experience was fun. I'd like to try other places in the area but I would definitely come back.“
“I got this place for the first time today. I’m ngl I liked it better cold than warm ! The ingredients are really good , and for the money I think it’s fair. Gonna be back forsure. Good job teamVegetarian options: Tofu for the protein optionDietary restrictions: Vegan friendly“
“This place is amazing! The service is beyond expectation, the food was great tasted fresh and the rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. The sanitation of this place is also very good, it’s nice and clean, the table are always wiped down before a new person comes!!! I’ve been to many sushi places and there was always something about the food or sanitary concerns but this restaurant has no issues! I will be coming back every soon!“
“I'd been rather dismayed at most of the local restaurants around Huntington and East Northport, coming from LA and NYC. But then we ate at Aki, newly relocated from their previous location on Jericho Turnpike. I'd have to say this is some of the best Sushi I've ever eaten. The Jericho roll was a spectacular taste sensation far surpassing anything I've been served at the places sushi fanatics have dragged me to around LA and NYC. Nobu ain't got nothing on this place - and the prices were unbelievably affordable.“
“MIKO Sushi and Hibachi in East Northport is one of the better sushi and hibachi restaurants around. The staff very nice and helpful. It is always fun to bring the Kids or Grandkids to enjoy the hibachi show. The place has a nice bar area when you come in. There is plenty of seating all around.“
“My wife and I walked in for dinner without a reservation maybe two months ago at around 6:30 on a Saturday. Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. We've since returned several times for the great food but the real triumph that night was how well everyone in the front house performed.Kid-friendliness: We saw several kids having a great time!“
“This place is so good, the service is great and really caring. The food was excellent, i got the pork ramen, the portion was good and it tasted like heaven. I also recommend the bonsai roll, it had great flavor and was fresh. Overall a great spot to eat. Btw bring an a hefty appetite!“
“A Thursday night dinner out. The beef bao bun app was excellent. Beef was very well seasoned and the thinly sliced cucumbers were excellent on those delicious bao buns. Dinner was the lo mein chicken which was missing flavor. My dinner guests enjoyed their sushi very much. Our beverages were excellent.“
“My go-to sushi restaurant. Not the best sushi I've had in my life, but it's always very good, the price is reasonable, and the staff is accommodating. Besides the sushi, I would also recommend the yaki udon. I never leave the restaurant without an order to go!“
“The manager Cindy is sweet, personable and extremely accommodating as is the waitress also named Cindy. Their sushi is always fresh and the amount of fish in the nigiri and rolls are amazing!!!!As a sushi lover and a personal chef, I highly recommend this secret gem. They are located on the west side of Broadway/Greenlawn Rd., on the same side of the street as 7-11, within a small group of stores. Not to be confused with the other Japanese across the street. That's a completely different story.PS. They have a sushi roll special that's really amazing as a quick takeout.“
“Best General Tso's chicken on Long Island. I've had it everywhere else and no, it didn't measure up !!! The god blessed meat seems to be a HUGE problem everywhere. This is the ONLY restaurant with decent General Tso's chicken meat. Also there other meats are good too. The fish is awesome. The ribs are delicious. So yeah, try the rest. Then have the best.“
“Came here for the first time on Saturday and I have to say this is my new spot! I live in Huntington Village where there are an endless amount of bars and restaurants and this place is so different, love it! NYC vibes without the hour drive, will be “
“I love the food at Wild ginger. Tonight I order the crunchy salmon roll, hibachi fried rice shrimp and a sex on the beach. The drink wasn't the best but it wasn't bad either there not really known for their drinks. The service was pretty good and efficient. The restaurant isn't super big but it accommodates everyone. I also like the atmosphere in the restaurant.“
“This restaurant is small and cute. The owners are a couple that have owned this place for 16 years and they are really cute, patient, kind, and knowledgeable of the different foods and drinks they are serving. Plenty of options for meat eaters and veggie eaters. If you're looking for a small, quiet and quaint place, give them a chance.“
“Samurai is the best of the best when it comes to hibachi in the Huntington area. My family and I have been regular customers since I can remember. Michael and Simon are always extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating and the wait staff is very attentive. Their hibachi, sushi, etc. remain my favorite despite local competition. Highly recommended, always!“
“As an avid sushi consumer, I do not hesitate to tell you that this may be the best sushi I have ever eaten. It is definitely one of the best, if not the best! Fish is fresh, flavors are on point, tempura is cooked perfectly, and ingredients are balanced just right! The roll with the rock shrimp is insanely good!“
“Staff is incredibly nice and provide excellent service. Food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is peaceful and comfy. My go to sushi spot in Huntington.Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian rolls along with vegetable gyozas. Sweet Potato roll is straight fire I get it everytime.“
