“Good coffee, good gelato, good Italian soda! There is seating downstairs and upstairs. It's cozy and chill. The chocolate gelato was not nearly as good as the vanilla imo.The barista was nice and she made everything we ordered promptly and well. Will definitely be going back here!Parking: There's parking in the Dogtown lot but it can be a hassle getting a spot in there depending on the time of day.“
“Had dinner tonight and it was amazing! The calamari appetizer was delicious! Also had the pork special, osso bucco which was out of this world! You must try this place. The service was impeccable also. Wish I knew our server’s name. From start to finish including dessert l can’t give this place enough stars!! I will be returning soon for another great meal.“
“I ordered food from today and without thinking I said wow (out loud) when I had the first bite. The food here is absolutely divine. I am so glad I drove from Buffalo for it. Also, the service here is amazing! I will be coming back for more every chance I get.“
“I've been having breakfast here two times a week for just over a month and I love it! I can't speak to the midday or afternoon offerings, but the early morning experience is everything I want in a cafe: Fantastic food that demands my full attention, fresh coffee that is flavorful by itself, and enough space to find a cozy corner. It's not a surprise that this place has become part of my weekly routine, and I hope it stays that way for a long while.“
“Winter Swan Coffee isn't just a caffeine pit stop, it's a new Rochester ritual. From the moment you step into their stunning new space, you're met with smiles that could melt even the iciest December wind. The baristas are absolute wizards, brewing up deliciousness while chatting like old friends. But let's talk coffee, shall we? Every sip of Winter Swan is a revelation. Smooth, expertly roasted beans meet creative flavor combinations that keep your taste buds tangoing. Their seasonal offerings are a constant source of delight, from the cozy embrace of a Gingerbread Matcha Latte to my new favorite, the swan cloud. Whether you're a classic latte lover or a daring espresso explorer, Winter Swan has something to set your heart singing. And speaking of the new space, it's simply delightful. Practical and beautiful, it strikes the perfect balance between cozy corners and airy vibes. It's the kind of place you want to settle in with a good book, linger over a conversation, or simply watch the world go by with a steaming cup in hand. So, when someone asks me where to find the best coffee in Rochester, my answer is always the same: Winter Swan. It's more than just a café; it's a community hub, a flavor playground, and a haven for all things caffeinated joy. Five stars? Winter Swan deserves a constellation!“
“I just visited here for the first time this morning and I am so upset I haven’t ventured over sooner. The atmosphere is so cozy, staff are beyond friendly, and despite them being quite busy, I was in and out within 10 minutes. I got the Lavender Dreams Iced Latte as well as the Basil Breakfast Grilled Wrap. When I tell you this wrap was CHEFS KISS- it was perfect. Everything was so fresh. Overall, I can’t say enough how great my first experience was here and I will encourage everyone I know to pay it a visit. Thanks Sips!!!“
“I was in the mood for a pastry and coffee and came here. The setting with some tables, a counter against the wall, draperies, photos & paintings creates an appealing ambiance to sit and chat with a bunch of friends or just sit quietly to sip and eat your meal. It has an ample menu of cocktails, sandwiches, and a few pastries, coffee, tea. I really liked it.“
“Happy Gut Sanctuary is a relaxing space to gather with friends or have a relaxing moment to yourself. The vibes are impeccable. The staff is friendly, caring, and attentive. The beverages are to die for—and you can even do a little shopping on top of all of that! Highly recommend—there is something for everyone !“
“I always like to visit local coffee shops when traveling. I am so glad that I chose Ugly Duck Coffee on a recent trip to Rochester. Even though I don’t consider myself a coffee snob, I am very particular about the entire experience. The calm, soothing atmosphere of the shop was very welcoming. Since we were first-timers, we asked for a recommendation. The Snug seemed to be what we were looking for. Everything about this latte was exceptional: the temperature, taste, the look, the art, and the glass it was served in…did I mention taste? Wow. This was the best latte I ever had. If y’all ever consider opening another location in Texas (specifically north Texas) I’d be happy to help make that happen!“
“When I lived in Rochester, they had just started out as a rustic little cafe with a music school. In the last 5 years, they have now built into a fancier cafe with many more options to eat, drink, knick knacks and tea and coffee beans to buy. I was delighted to visit when I was in Rochester recently and see this development!I got their coffee with cocoa drink with an addition of peppermint flavoring. It was good. The girls working the cafe were definitely on their toes quite a bit. I used to love their hot chocolate so I'll be glad to go back for that on my next visit!“
“Founders Café is a Rochester treasure. AMAZING food - everything on the menu is great, even if I tend to get the same thing most visits because I love their salads so much. But everything else - quiche, sandwiches, baked goods - are all phenomenal. Very friendly service and we're definitely always made to feel at home. Love it here.“
“Pleasant place and staff but a little disappointing on coffee and pastry quality. I wanted to like it more than I could.Flat white was a shot drowned in 12 oz of overheated milk, not sure how it differs from a latte or how you can get a strong milk drink. Is my understanding of what a flat white is non-universal?So-so Almond croissant warmed in the microwave wasn't awesome either.“
“Great restaurant and great atmosphere! Very welcoming and friendly staff. The breakfast sandwiches and coffees are ALL 10/10 for a great price! One of those places where you discover and become a regular customer. Location is super nice too and hope to see them expand a little more into other parts of Rochester. My new everyday breakfast spot“
“Nice place for brunch; CASH ONLY (- there's an ATM down the street)They were kind in allowing us to order so close to the cut off time for breakfast; The hostess was a good conversationalist and kept us updated regarding our order as well as any questions/concerns.“
“Great neighborhood cafe, owners & staff are so pleasant. Baked goods, breakfast sandwichs, yogurts & so much more make for a great time. Food trucks on Wednesdays in the summer along with their ice cream, make it a nice place to gather and meet neighbors.“
“I stopped in quick because I was in the area for a short moment and needed coffee. I’m so glad I did. My breakfast sandwich was amazing and my iced mocha was on point. Only thing I wish was that my large was much bigger bc that coffee was made to perfection!!! I wish you guys were closer“
“Located in Downtown Rochester, outstanding coffee and espresso selection. Creative drink menu: mocha, peanut butter latte, and uncle latte. Attention to detail, quality beans, healthy menu options and great service! They also offer pour over coffee for those who prefer freshly prepared coffee drinks! There is a soft serve machine for those interested in a cold, delicious dessert.“
“If your like me and need a coffee fix more often than most you have to go to Javas!!! Located right in the heart of ROC off East Ave near Eastman theater is Java's Cafe. It's very cute and eclectic inside. You'll feel like your in a little coffee shop in NYC! Staff are nice and fellow patrons are super friendly. They have desserts and yummy sandwiches too- if coffee is not your thing. But trust me- one cafe here and you'll be hooked!!! Enjoy!!!“
“I don't live in Fairport but Clementine Coffee is always worth the drive! The shop is so cute but, more importantly, is thoughtfully run by an owner who truly cares; I have loved watching Clem evolve and grow. The employees are friendly and serve delicious drinks from your staple coffee order to delicious rotating seasonal flavors. I have enjoyed every visit over the last 2 years and look forward to many more!“
“Great selection and specials at reasonable prices. Cozy environment, but gets crowded fast.Parking: On a day when the cafe was very crowded inside parking was easy to find, summer weekends might get challenging at timesKid-friendliness: Small play area and kid friendly seatingWheelchair accessibility: A bit crowded and tough to navigate, but all on one level“
“Great atmosphere. Coffee is good. Not certain if it's worth waiting 20 minutes in line though given they have 1 barrista and another person who works the orders, makes coffee, and delivers drinks. I cannot believe they cannot find or afford a third person to work orders on weekends given how busy they are and the prices.“
“Love this place, black owned, and professional. You definitely feel like family when you are there. The food is AWESOME!! The vibe is AWESOME. If you want to find your happy place... RUN don't WALK to the Toast Factory. Only down side is limited seating area. Yes, I had YAMS on my french toast, if you want it they can configure it... Chef ?Parking: Street parking, limited in the Culver area.“
“Best frozen hot cocoa I've ever had. Ambiance is always warm and inviting, service is very attentive and friendly as well. Whether I want to energize for the day or wind down, I love having Canaltown in the neighborhood as my go to coffee shop.“
“I've visited twice already in the last 1.5 weeks, and I'm so happy to report that she has Korean baked good available. The egg tarts are especially delicious, and beware, if you buy 3 you might end of eating all of them. The coffee is beyond delicious and especially smooth. I look forward to going back and trying their breakfast/lunch items. Jenny and her staff are sweet, patient, and positive. The overall ambiance is clean and there is a neat bathroom available for customers. I stayed for about 2 hours to get work done, and it's that perfect level of background noise + the caffeine rush helped me through my mid day blues.“
“I'm excited to see a local Penfield place where I can get a take out espresso drink! They also have a case of pastries and treats, so I got a few of those. Everything tasted great, and the service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back for a meal soon.“
“I quite literally cannot recommend The Old Farm Cafe highly enough. The service, food/drink, and atmosphere are all fantastic. As a Disney lover, this truly feels like the closest thing to immersive dining in Rochester and I can’t WAIT to go back. Need a place for a date? Old Farm Cafe. Need somewhere to take the kids? Old Farm Cafe. Meeting a friend for lunch? Old Farm Cafe. You get the picture. It’s perfect for everything!!!“
“Our breakfast here was very good. It was a little weird upon arrival because it seems like there is parking out back but it's really apartment parking. Luckily we easily found on street parking. The staff were all friendly and the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote were delicious. I ordered a tea and the server explained the flavor and the steep time which was helpful. It was a cute little place with beautiful takeout available.“
“The pina colada and mango cream smoothies are the best I’ve ever had. I work in the mall so I get them pretty often. The only thing is the price. $8 for just a smoothie feels criminal but then again it’s mall prices in 2023. Very friendly staff too.“
“Cool place that brings out all the 90s cartoon and video game feels. They were short staffed when we visited but they were very kind and polite and made sure to communicate with all customers.Had their breakfast burrito- it was really good and a lot of food! However, would not recommend their latte- it tasted very watery and artificial.“
“This is the first coffee shop I've visited that actually uses the Japanese tea ceremony green tea whisk to stir up the REAL green tea powder to make matcha latte! Other major coffee businesses use premixed powder with sugar already added. I'm a Japanese and I'm very impressed with the quality of the green tea. The people are very attentive. I also learned that this is a woman- owned business. There is a side room where we can have a small receptions and gatherings. Southbridge definitely I'll be back!Dietary restrictions: Matcha latte with almond milk and oat milk were fantastic!“
“Came in for breakfast for our first visit. We loved what they did to the place from what it was previously. With that said it is rather noisy, but that's because of the openness. The food and service is worth it though. I got the breakfast tacos and the wife got the veggie omelet. This is the first time I've ever gotten an appetizer for breakfast and the first time I've ever had to get a to go container for my breakfast. The food is so good and fresh tasting. The prices are a tad higher than what an average diner would be, but it's because it's not your average diner and you're getting great food with fresh ingredients. Well worth it! They also offer gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“I have been going to Pearson's for several years (most of that time it went by Glenn Edith's).The coffee is great, and the atmosphere is quieter than other nearby coffee shops.I really like the design and decor of both the downstairs and upstairs (downstairs is more active, upstairs in quiet).Service is fast and friendly. They have an upstairs that is a great space for working.I wish they had more gluten-free options (why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5). They used to have a better gluten-free selection before the renovation & conversion into Pearson's.Parking is occasionally a challenge as they only have 4 or 5 spots, the nearby parking lot is only for the nearby shopping center, and street parking makes for a bit of a walk. That said, if you are only there for a few minutes you "shouldn't" have a problem parking in the shopping center parking lot.“
“I’m ready to say this is by far the best place to get bagels in Rochester! Huge variety, and the bagels are fresh with the perfect crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Lots of homemade cream cheese options. They also bake a wide variety of goods and have discount pricing on day old items. Prices are great and service is super quick. Of all the bagels we tried the Montreal everything bagel was my favorite because of it softer bread and slightly sweeter flavor. Another note is they put a ton of cream cheese on the bagel which is great but also offer a discounted price for those who don’t want so much cream cheese.“
“Seriously the best coffee I have ever had. I travel all over the Southeast and Northeast. You just don’t find those the full, rich and distinctive flavors anywhere else. I am returning to my beloved Fl in Sept of ‘24. I will be bringing several bags with me, then ordering online.“
“They were so happy to speak with us about every little question we had. If you need a cup of coffee but want it done right then you should get it here. Stock up on fresh beans or just come for the great service, there isn't a bad option!“
“It may have taken me over a year to finally remember the name of this spot, but I'm obsessed. I recommend it to everyone I know, too. I don't even live in Rochester but this is where I buy my coffee. There are some roasts from different locals than what you may typically find, like Malawi and Sulawesi. It's all good, and all becomes a matter of personal coffee preferences.Someone mentioned the staff here not being nice or friendly, but I've had great interactions with them all. The baristas bust their butts and the coffee area employees put up with my many coffee questions. Prices went up in May to $18/pound from $16, I believe; they clearly communicated it was due to rising costs and paying their coffee suppliers a decent rate. I still think it's a fair price--some places charge than price for 12 ounces versus a full pound.“
“It's a diner with diner food. Friendly, clean, fast. The food was what we expected. I only had home fries with sourdough toast. My husband had raisin bread French toast. Both were, as I said before, typical diner breakfasts. Our 13 year old got an American omelet, with ham, and it was also a typical breakfast. The portion was big for her. I have nothing negative to say.“
“The beautiful donut display was the hit of the night! We were hesitant to switch completely to donuts from the traditional wedding cake but we are SO HAPPY we went with the donuts. They also tasted just as delicious as they looked. We were very thankful Donuts Delite was able to deliver and pick up the donut wall and tiered serving plates. Our guests will forever bring up how much they loved them. Highly recommend for weddings and all other events!“
“Nice spot downtown to have a small ish easy to eat breakfast or lunch with huge windows letting in a ton of light. It's connected by a skybridge to Innovation Square which I'd imagine is nice for residents. You order at the counter but they bring the food out to you at your table. I got the apple grilled cheese sandwich which was good but on the small side. There's a lot on street metered parking nearby and a garage underground.“
“I enjoy the several varieties of food options they have. The food is fresh and always delicious! I would recommend this place to my family and friends ?Dietary restrictions: I am semi limited on what I can eat and they were always very accommodating to my needs.“
“I've become quite the regular at the Starbucks located at 200 High Point Drive in Victor, NY, and I must say, it's not just the coffee that draws me in. The charm of this place is undeniable, housed in a cute little building that carries a quaint, historical vibe, reminiscent of its past life as the Bonesteel home. This cobblestone gem has been a part of Victor's landscape for over 180 years, making my coffee runs feel like a small dip into history. The service here is always top-notch; the staff are not only fast and friendly but also incredibly competent, ensuring my nitro brew or coconut milk latte is delicious every single time. There's something about the ambiance that makes it feel more like a second home than a coffee shop. Clean, with an inviting atmosphere and speedy service, this Starbucks stands out as the best I've ever visited.Operating hours are convenient for early birds and night owls alike, open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, ensuring I can grab my favorite brew whether I'm starting my day or needing an evening pick-me-up. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by, not just for the coffee, but for the experience of this unique location“
“Great place to connect with Rochester history at the site where fifteen courageous Rochester women voted in 1872, including Susan B Anthony. Proprietors Paul and Mai are always welcoming and dedicated to helping the neighborhood thrive. Food ranges from pizza to healthy wraps and gluten free options. A great place to meet for coffee, hang out, or stop in after a visit to the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House.“
“RoCoCo has a diverse menu with coffee and espresso drinks, smoothies, and more. They also have delicious cronuts and other pastries! I've buoyed everything I've tried here and the staff is always very friendly. This is a great little spot within the Mercantile on Main to grab a cup and relax.“
“Just got a customized refresher with the new Oleato Foam. The manager Kristen was very helpful and patient with my order. The drink came out fantastic. I did the Dragon Drink with half the mango dragon base and the other half with pineapple passion base. And then substituted it with Oat Milk. Omg so freaking good. This place never fails.“
“Just litterally left from the drive thru and got a mocha cookie crumble frappe, which I get all the time. This was my first time at this location usually I go to the new one by browncroft, but I’ve been to a lot here and this time I wen6 to this location was the best the drink has ever been made. No joke. Everywhere else it’s watery and disgusting. And you guys were so very busy and the fact it was made great and prefect is just amazing. Great employees, great vibes great drinks. Thank you so much I hope the employees are valued because with out them you wouldn’t be able to operate. They’re doing a fantastic job. Thank you.“
“Every other dunkn around the area honestly just sucks. This location is luckily on my route to work. Even if it's a long line, I know that it will move fast. I am a die hard dunkn girlie and this is my favorite location. The best I have been too“
