“My husband and I went to D&B this past Sat night for dinner. My husband loves their chicken fingers and was in the mood for them, i, on the other hand, have a more finicky palate. It was very busy, as suspected, and they were short staffed (who isn't these days). Had a few issues with the service and the wait for the food was a little long but when the manager came over to see how things were, we had explained to him the few issues we had and he rectified it within seconds. Regardless of the service and wait, THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING. Yes, OUTSTANDING. I had the Mushroom Stout Burger and it was DELICIOUS! literally, one of the best burgers I ever had and totally worth the wait. You may think this is just a place to take your kids, but their menu is very good. And with a manager who is professional to address issues and provide outstanding customer service, Its totally worth it. We'll be back again, no doubt. And we definitely recommend it. I think they will surprise you!“

“Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“We rented out the restaurant for the evening for a wedding elopement celebration. The bartenders were absolutely amazing and so on point! The food was not bite-size but real burgers and sandwiches and so delicious. The DJ was added onto the party package by the restaurant and people danced all night. Everything was turned key I didn’t have to worry about anything at all it was such a fun night and such a beautiful location because it was decorated for the holidays. It comfortably fit 50 people! I wish I could throw the party all over again highly recommend this spot for a private event!!“

“Just had my sister's 70th surprise birthday here with 50 guests. Fantastic interior completely new interior open space with second floor dance lounge. Service and food were great. The owner has been in the bar - restaurant business for over 50 years in this area. Down the block from Long Island Railroad.“

“Patrons, bar tenders and owner very friendly and welcoming. I went in by myself, started hitting some pool balls, a patron came up to me and asked if I wanted to play a game. After we played a few games he introduced to some of other guys and gals there. Really nice time for me. When in the area I go back, very relaxing.

The black lights and the black light recsssive images along with the color changing lights pointed at the pictures make an awesome effect. The sound quality is very good. The art everywhere is great. “As a musician who has played so many bars all over NY state I must say the environment at Tailgsters is so incredibly special. First, they treat the bands with love and respect. It should be the norm but sadly it’s not always the case. They go above and beyond. From the ownership to every single enologee that works there, it’s impossible not to absolutely love every person associated with this bar. The crowd is great and super friendly and safe and I genuinely look forward to playing there again. They treat their customers, staff; and performers like family. Really like family. I am so grateful that we’ve played there twice and I’m already looking to playing there again. Michelle behind the bar is a genuinely great person and makes awesome drinks, but every single person there is so approachable and engaging. I can recommend Tailgsters as a genuinely fun environment that treats everyone like family. I look forward to just visiting when I’m not playing. Impressed is a huge understatement.
