“Foods good. I got the Texas toast burger... Which was good, the Texas toast part wasn't that great... Ususally I associate Texas toast with garlic butter on it.. This one was little stale no butter... Wish I got a regular bun... But the rest of it was very good. The ladies bartending was nice but they did talk amongst them self a good bit with alot of vugar and loud talk ? I think we caught them on a bad day... The bar was a fairly empty when we got there for lunch.“
“Our favorite restaurant on Long Island hands down! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance and staff exude warmth and authenticity, creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful meal. The service was impeccable. The staff members were not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Sabrina, our server, provided excellent recommendations and ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. Our group of 6 sat at the lounge high-tops and enjoyed Heather's delicious craft cocktails. Each dish we ordered showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients and Chef Marco's skillful execution, from the homemade pasta dishes to the wood-fired courses and Sabrina's homemade desserts. The wine selection perfectly complemented the meal, with a diverse range of options to suit every palate. We had their newly released Osteria Umbra wine, and it was delightful. Osteria Umbra exceeds our expectations every time. It's the kind of restaurant where you can truly savor each moment and will be making the next reservation on your way out. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience!“
“We tried brunch here for the first time because the menu looked good , and everything was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice with nice pillows and comfortable seats. The menu for brunch had so many good options I changed my mind 3 times, but was talked into the Gruyère burger with an egg on it. It ended up being one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The fries were good too. Everyone was very happy with their meals . The drinks were good and the tres leches bread pudding was out of this world. Our waitress was amazing she was helpful and extremely nice.Overall we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back to try some other options on the menu.“
“Had a great time at Butera's in Bay Shore last night (despite it being St. Patrick's day Bar Crawl Weekend in the town). The food was outstanding! We had the Gnocchi and Lasagna and I could eat loaves of that bread if given the opportunity. I'm not a fan of Rainbow cookies or desserts in general, but the Rainbow Cookie Cheesecake is a must! Can't wait to go back and try everything, because narrowing down what I wanted to eat was one of the hardest decisions of the night!“
“Delicious Cuban food and service! We had the smoked pork chops, boiled yucca, moros, black beans, oxtail, fried grouper, flounder in garlic sauce, and a salad. We also got ham croquettes and the extremes platter (Cuban antipasto) as an app. We cleaned almost everything on our plates due to how good it was, and also had some flan for dessert and churros and tres leches. The drinks were good and nicely spiked, we all liked the hurricane, mojito, and iced tea. Price was not bad for all that we had. Very good and will come back :)“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at IMC restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance was inviting, with a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. But it was the food that truly stole the show. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and artfully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delight for the senses. The culinary team at IMC has truly mastered the art of gastronomy. Moreover, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect.Overall, I cannot recommend IMC restaurant highly enough. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an extraordinary meal, IMC is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“
“I had my husband's 40th birthday at Shanahan's and everything was amazing. Deana was great to work with in terms of setting up the party and planning the menu. She was super helpful and answered all my questions throughout the process. The day of the party the space was set up and ready when I got there and Deana helped me put out the decorations and balloons before the guests arrived. Deana and her staff were friendly and attentive the entire time during the party. The food was delicious and plentiful for the party size. I would highly recommend having a party here. It was such a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.“
“Monday through Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. full bar full menu even longer on like Friday and Saturday or something like that. Sunday might be like an early night I think. But nobody's open like they are. There's a crowd. There's ladies this dudes I mean I guess if that's what you're into hahaha lol. Great “
“Went to Katie's of Smithtown about a month or so ago to see my cousins boyfriends band. The place is really tiny, and the stage took up a good chunk of the room. They had Guinness and maybe one other beer I recognized but other than that there were newer beers. At least new to me. The service was good. Even though it was crowded with for the band, the bartenders got my beer out in just a few minutes. The bathrooms were at the other side of the stage, and the woman's bathroom was tucked back almost behind the stage, which was a bit annoying to get to“
“Just had my sister's 70th surprise birthday here with 50 guests. Fantastic interior completely new interior open space with second floor dance lounge. Service and food were great. The owner has been in the bar - restaurant business for over 50 years in this area. Down the block from Long Island Railroad.“
“Great food, great service and cozy atmosphere!!! Love that place! We had such a nice evening with friends! Music is not too loud so you have have. Lovely conversation with your guests. Food is fresh and delicious. And also my Allagash White beer came nice and cold in a frosty glass! We'll be back again soon!“
“Recently held a surprise 60th birthday party for my mother in-law and honestly had a great experience. I’ve been a regular patron of Goldy’s for since their rebirth; however, recently I inquired about their party services. The process was simple. Even doing homework, price-wise they were competitive with the going rate per person. The staff was tremendous in making the event a hit! They were accommodating, attentive - overall made the experience a pleasure! Again, I would highly recommend and will continue to frequent Goldy’s as a regular patron!“
“Last night my fiancé and I had our rehearsal dinner at the Victorian Room. From start to finish, Gina the owner was absolutely amazing ! The room is so beautifully decorated and cozy . The food was phenomenal , tasted like a home cooked meal ! The service was impeccable and professional from not only herself but her staff as well. All of the desserts were made by Gina and they were beyond delicious especially the hot donuts and rainbow cookies .. OMG! This was such a special night of celebration and we cannot thank you enough for making it so memorable for us and our family /friends. I cannot wait to plan the next party which will definitely be at the Victorian Room . We love you Gina and staff !!!!!! ❤️? xo“
“I came here with one of my church friends and one of my guy friends that I've been friends with for about 14 years now. I don't drink alcohol but my one friend loves breweries so I go with him to visit them sometimes. I love most of the breweries I go to.They didn't have a non alcoholic beer for me to try but they made me a mocktail which was pretty good. My church friend had wine and my other friend was the one who got the beers. The service was as attentive as it could be for a crowded Saturday night, it was still good. The place is small, but it has more of a classier, upscalish decor than other breweries I've gone to.They didn't serve food just chips but they allowed you to order food from nearby restaurants and delis and have them bought in which is nice. I wish breweries served more food but I'm learning they don't really serve much food. Some of them have food trucks nearby.I liked this brewery and had a good time there.“
“Stopped in a handful of times and have never had a bad experience. Friendly group of regulars, attentive bartenders, and everything you want to drink! There’s bar games for everyone to enjoy, and they even have live music from time to time. If you’re in the area I’d give it a shot.“
“Recently went here for a date night with friends. This place is tucked away off the beaten place but truly a hidden gem. Our food was delicious, we had some appetizers which we loved. Lobster roll was to die for. Tacos were flavorful. And drinks were AWESOME!! Live music during dinner was a plus. Can't wait to visit during the warmer months.“
“we had an incredibly romantic valentine's day at whalers. delicious cocktails, perfect food, beautiful setting. we were so happy we brought our parents back the following week and had another positively exquisite dining experience. thank you, whalers!“
“Perfect place to go to on any day, although the game atmosphere on the weekends is a party; crowded but not overcrowded and everyone is friendly. During the week it is quieter and easy to get a table. The servers know their jobs well and are attentive when you need it without overdoing it.The menu has a different selection from what I expected. There is delicious beer cheese soup, thinly sliced reuben sandwiches with sauerkraut and dressing, various salads such as fantasia salmon salad, buffalo wings, calamari, quesadillas and many more selections including a brunch on Sundays. I don't give 5 stars on food unless it is incredibly special, but this place deserves a very high 4 stars not only for the food but for the quick order taking and serving. Pricing is average unless you are a big drinker; if you are drinking, there are a huge variety of beers and other alcoholic drinks. There are about 50 live streaming tv's on every wall, including on the outside wall if you prefer to eat outdoors.Great place to go to with friends and family. Changing Times Pub has to be tried out!Parking: There are parking spaces all along the front and back of Changing Times, but there is also a large lot right next to the small group of connected stores that this pub is a part of.“
“Came in for an open jam session, first time here. Haven’t been here in years. This place has changed so much for the better! Comfortable, almost homey vibe. Great fresh tasting food, and drinks. Amazing service as well. We were always checked on by staff. They have a cocktail menu too. Just wish they had a larger variety of wine, but spoke with maybe the manager/owner and he said he will be adding that as he is finishing renovations. Will definitely be back!“
“Stopped in here on a random Tuesday evening , and was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, atmosphere wasn’t too crowded nor dead. We were immediately seated and decided to try some food. We were impressed. Pricing not bad and portions were huge. We really enjoyed our stay and if in the area, we’d definitely “
“Excellent experience all around! The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks are great too! Right now during the Christmas season, they are decorated with wreaths and right outside is Wall Street (the closed off road with the large decorated tree, Christmas music, Santa)What we ate:Guinness Pot Roast(Outstanding comfort dish, so tender, flavorful)Finnegan Burger(Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly)Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich(Crispy, seasoned nicely, chicken cooked just right)This is a small Irish pub, there's tables(small and large), and a bar to sit at as well. They have a large assortment of beers (we had Stella and Corona), and cocktails(I had the Hot Chocolate Martini, tasted like an adult Yoohoo).Service was excellent as well, everyone is super friendly, everything came out quickly, and was cooked perfectly (even with a full house).“
“Absolutely awesome Dead bar. The bar itself is made of tons of ticket stubs and the live music on the weekends is awesome. Great people, and the owner Beau is super welcoming. It was our first time and they made us feel like locals - a must go for jam band lovers.“
“My partner and I celebrated our anniversary and it couldn't have been better! Great food and drinks, with a quiet space in the back to get away from the more noisy bar at the front of the restaurant. The food was great for sharing, definitely a great experience!“
“JTI's is thee BEST! I highly recommend this place! Nick and team helped us host a luncheon after my grandmothers funeral. They were incredibly easy to work with, extremely helpful, and always responsive. Their customer service is second to none and the food is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time.“
“My husband and I love to eat. Tonight we branched out and tried Sea Levels. We are now loyal customers. We cannot wait to come back. Starting with the bread basket, every bite of food was stunning. The duck cakes were unforgettable— we seriously considered ordering them again for dessert. The seafood was so fresh, it still tasted effortlessly of the sea, while wallowing in sauces and gravy unlike any others. The desserts (my husband got the flourless cake, I got the apple crumble with Coyle’s Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream) were delicious. The service was excellent, our server Jackie was knowledgeable and friendly. What a gem, what a meal, we are so grateful. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and try it out.“
“A great local getaway! A weekend visit or on your weekday lunch break... drive down, eat your lunch while enjoying the cool breeze and pretty waves. Bring the kids to enjoy the playground area. Cute Tiki Bar/Restaurant, Outdoor Deck, Outdoor Showers and Plenty of Seating, Tables, Benches and Gazebo for a shady retreat. Stop by and take a look if you're in the Islip area, just off downtown Main Street, South all the way to the end.“
“We ate in the pub part for Wednesday ight blues jam. I tried the all you can eat mussels. Not very good. Some mussels were old and shriveled, others were large and undercooked. Would't get again. My husband had the fish and chips. Chips were good, but the fish was just okay. Bartender was very nice. Nice selection of beers. Ran into a friend who said he'd just eaten the lamb special and it was great.“
“Obsessed with updating my reviews lately, so here's another one for you. The Local has my heart and it's been a go to place to take friends and family when their in the area and back on LI. As my friend who I lunched with on Saturday said "it has a Queensy vibe" which it totally does, only you will see by the interior decor, it's proud to be on LI and I'm so happy by that. Custom subway signs referring to LI spots is what provides the decor for this place along with chalkboards showcasing the beer list. These days, when I want a beer, I don't look at the list anymore. I tell the staff what I like (usually something on the citrusy side) and I go with it. This is exactly what I did and our server did not steer us wrong. Do I know what beer I had, no...But was she spot on in her recommendation? Yes, she was! Food menu is always changing here, another thing I love, so that Cuban stuffed pretzel was a pleasant surprise when I saw it featured. We jumped at that. As you know I'm a sucker for a special and a French dip was on their special menu. I went for it and never looked back. The meat was so flavorful and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The bread had the right amount of crunch and I hit it with the Old Bay fries and it's the perfect meal. Their sauces are great too, ask for roasted garlic ourthe chipotle aioli on the side. They pair amazing with any of their fries. This place really does get better each time I go. I always opt for a sandwich/burger but I'm sure anything on this menu is dynamite. Brunch is solid too.“
“This is the 2nd time I've visited MaBella, and it was another delightful experience! The chicken franchise was delicious, as was the warm bread. The service is impeccable, the water glasses are quickly refilled, and the servers are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We split dessert, and the NY Cheesecake was wonderful, as was the Affogato! We'll be back!“
