“The only carvel in Queens that has a cookie monster option and it is the BEST. I am an ice cream feign. So i will drive for some ice cream and most definitely when my friends come into town I take them to this specific carvel (if they've never had carvel ice cream before) because I can ensure they will like it. The staff at this location is the best they are efficient, kind, and usually younger too which is so refreshing. Keep it up and please never get rid of the cookie monster !“

“Maria’s Sans Rival cake lives up to the meaning of its name, undoubtedly unrivaled. It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.“

“Small café, but very bright, clean, and airy. There was was a small loveseat, a couple barstools, one or two cafe tables with 2 seats, a bench with a cushion and 3 café tables out on the sidewalk. Came in about 1:30pm, and were greeted warmly. Almost all of the pastries were gone, but the cheese with fig danish and the plain croissant they had left were good. We also tried the matcha lemonade, strawberry matcha and a hot black sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte A LOT, the strawberry was good, and I personally hated the lemonade, but that is a personal preference thing. The good thing about it is it isn't too sweet, but it was heavy on the matcha, so it tasted like liquid grass to me. I definitely like nuttier sencha tea better. The prices were average for the area, and since everything is pricey now, it is what it is.

There were other patrons there, busily working and looked like they had been there for quite a while, which tells me it may be a good place to sit and focus for an hour or two.

My party of three sat outside and because it is located in a predominantly residential area, it was a nice place to sit since there aren't tons of pedestrians. There were a few bees/wasps though, so we had to leave after a bit(highly allergic). There were also mosquitos and lantern bugs around--I suspect there is some standing water on a roof nearby.

I will definitely walk over here again to get that sesame latte, and maybe stay and pretend looking productive. But I'll definitely come back.“

“Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing even cold. The chocolate chip cookie had the perfect salty-sweet balance. I don’t even like blueberries, but their blueberry bun with cream cheese frosting was so good I had to pause. The blondie was soft and rich and just right.

It’s really hard to find a bakery where everything hits. This place does. You can tell there’s real care in the food. This isn’t just baking to bake, there’s love in it.“

“Man… this is one of the best businesses in existence. I’ve gotten various cakes from them over the years , and every single time they have been consistently delicious, rich, and exuberant. The tres leches is not too sweet, and the frosting complements the cake as well. It’s overall a very well rounded cake.

The service is spectacular as well — they can prepare an order for you in no time, and will decorate it and ensure that it is beautiful. All the while being as friendly as possible.

And the price, is more than fair.

(There goes my diet) I ran across Layers from Uber Eats and googled the store to read the reviews which were great but I saw some bad reviews about the cakes being stale and not fresh. My cravings got the best of me and I ordered despite some bad reviews. Man oh man was I happy I did. The brownie was delicious and moist. I hate hard dry brownies this place did not disappoint. “For my daughter's sweet 16, she insisted on a specific cake in a specific color and size. NYC Birthday Cakes made her dream come true! The order process was extremely easy and I was able to provide a swatch so that they could match the color as best as possible. (color matching fondant is not easy - I've made cakes myself but didn't have the time now) We only had 40 people and 4 layers (6:, 8", 10" & 12") would have been too much cake. So, they made the top layer and bottom layer with a cake form instead of cake. The two middle layers were red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the vanilla with chocolate mousse. They were absolutely delicious!! The cake was delivered to the venue on time and as promised. These are truly professionals and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a special cake! “This place is one of my favorite places to come to for breakfast. Its a korean cafe offering everything you would get at paris baguette and what you would order at a deli. All the counter folks speak both korean and english and theyre courteous. The older korean folks like to come here and gather here in the mornings while a mix of customers for the cakes, breakfast food and their coffees. My only negative is since th egg price hike, theyve doubled everything in price. The prices have gone down and yet, their prices stay the same. All in all, id come back here to treat myself and the family every now and then.“
