“I really wanted to be away from too many people. I don’t like crowds too much and my frame of mind was such that I just wanted to sit and eat and just be at ease before my flight. I have had no prior experience with this restaurant nor T5 at JFK to begin with. I was greeted almost instantly when arrived and was seated within a minute. I would say within 15 or so minutes, the food arrived and it tasted delicious. I ordered buffalo wings, fries and a Pepsi. Whilst seated, I looked online for reviews and found it to be surprising since most were negative. I had a brief chat with my server and she was receptive towards my positive feedback. You can see the initial hesitancy at first because she probably figured I wanted to complain but it was the opposite. Her body language warmed up to me and she actually stroked up a secondary conversation just before I left. Basically, you will get better service when it’s not so busy. When I went, the place was 90% empty. Go brave!“

“The place is definitely smaller than I expected, which probably explains why reservations are a must. The ambience was beautiful good vibes, good music, and a really friendly staff. The drinks were great, mine were strong , and the food was solid overall. My strip steak was perfectly tender, but it could've used a little more seasoning like salt. The mashed potatoes were slightly cold, but it balanced out because my salmon was piping hot. The highlight for me was the birthday moment where they came out with a huge sign and sparkler to sing, which made it feel really special. I'd probably come back again! It's just far from where i live.“

“We went to Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn to celebrate my son’s and my birthdays. Incredibly, it was our first time there. We will be back. Beautiful, old world atmosphere. The food was beyond delicious. Our waiters, Adi and Justin were friendly and professional. I read so many reviews that the wait staff was rude and cold. Don’t believe it for one second. All the waiters were attentive and checked to see how everything was going. Don’t miss the apple strudel and schlag. I’d give Peter Luger’s ten stars if I could. Can’t wait to return.“

I had the steak (med well, juicy) with lobster tail (succulent and delicious) option. So good! Hubby had the pork chops. The waitress brought my cousin a birthday ice cream and sang to her. My cousin truly enjoyed her dinner.“
