“The Farmhouse is a great family run establishment. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Ice cream and shakes are great and restaurant is clean and decorated beautifully. Come for the Clam Bake in the summer and the cider donuts in the fall.”

“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.”

“Really cute cafe. Staff was really kind and friendly. Cafe is very cozy, clean, has a lot of table seats and some sofas. Menu is very extensive- lots of autumn drinks and also bubble tea. Presentation of drinks is really cute, they have glass mason jars if you’re staying in the cafe. They also have wifi!”

“What an amazing place for live music!! Sat at the end of the bar and watched an amazing Chris Cornell cover band. Bartenders were busy, but so polite and professional. I had wings and Philly Cheesesteak which were delicious. They have Captain Lawrence IPA on tap. Best mixed drink is a Smokey Manhattan! I live in Long Island, but will definitely venture back here again.”

“This is a primo smokehouse with an incredible deli. But with a twist. It's Bavarian/German as opposed to Italian. And that is really tough to find. And a deli that MAKES THEIR OWN SMOKED and PREPARED MEATS really is a rarity. And they do it well. With a great attitude. They are right off the Taconic, they're near 84, not far off 87, and close to heaven for carnivores. Checkout the website.

The owner I met there last time is also NYPD and a great guy. He's got a passion for what he does and it shows. Can't wait to see what he does moving forward.”

“Truly amazing food. We were in the area Saturday and found Gappy’s as a nearby place to eat on our Google map app. We took a chance and could not have been more thrilled. It does not look like a lot in the outside and I think that was appealing to us. We were hungry and tired. The inside was beautiful though. Very very clean. The bartender told us that we could sit anywhere we’d like. She immediately brought us over menus and got us a couple of drinks. The menu was huge and offered so many different dining options that no one could leave there hungry if they tried. I ordered the Gappys sampler appetizer and my husband had the fried ravioli and we split a salad. We probably should have stopped there because we were gently full at that point. Our large pizza came out. We had the meat lovers and added mushrooms and jalapeño peppers. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly thin. we were only able to finish less than half of it but did take the rest home. Service was attentive. Prices were great and the food was amazing!!”
