Chicken Shops near Kew Gardens, NY

“It was very fresh and tasty..I told the cook I'd be back..got to catch my bus for work right there !“

“I never eat chicken breast because they are too dry, but I can say this is the best fried chicken I’ve eaten from a restaurant. Juicy not greasy I wasn’t tired after I ate the meal absolutely delicious!“

“I went to Dave’s hot chicken I ordered my food didn’t look at it until I got home and got someone else order but I wouldn’t go back because it was a 30 minute drive was upset bout not getting what I paid for.“

“This place feels like home! Latoya the server/bartender was extremely kind, as was the chef! The food is not salty, savory, and they are not stingy on the oxtail dishes. I would recommend indeed! This was my first time here, and it won’t be my last“

“Good price and quality. I always order it with the sauce on the side and one time they forgot the sauce and it still tasted amazing without sauce. I often order it without sauce now lol. Other places drench everything in sauce to mask the taste of low quality meat but not here. The meat is great quality and very flavorful on its own.“

“Foods and drinks are delish😋 Great ambiance and service!“

“Food is amazing…Comfort food at its finest!!“

“We’ve been obsessed with this place for the past couple months, the food is amazing I highly recommend it! The salito fries, cheesesteak and the mixed platters are my forever go to! If you’re ever close to this place please check it out!! ❤️“

“French fries are seasoned to greatness! Rice is nice and tangy! The chicken, ohh the chicken… It is fabulous, the chicken is spicy, sour, flavorful, and soft. It’s like curry with lemon and peppers and hot sauce on it. Fabulous. 10/10!!“

“you think your grandma is in the kitchen. you really won't believe hiw good all the food is.“

“Great spot with dilectable chicken etc and good drinks at a fair price but goddamn they need to put a few rugs down or something because it's probably the loudest restaurant I've ever been in and I'm not even that old. Disregard if you prefer to dine on an active jetway or at an artillery range but otherwise yeah bring your listening horn like Beethoven had or plan to communicate by passed note.“

“One of the best places to get delicious Puerto Rican food!“

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! It was truly amazing that I can get chicken, rice, fries(shocking for me) and veggie of choice for only $12 was so impressive. I’m definitely going back.“

“My absolute go to! I’ve been coming here since they opened and I have yet to be disappointed. I crave their burgers daily at this point…. Lovely customer service as well — I’ve only had pleasant experiences! So glad this is in my neighborhood.“

“Love this place! The owner is super cool and the food is delicious! 10/10 taste and customer service every single time!“

“the waffles 🧇 were delicious and the toppings were a added pleasure service was friendly and the place was clean I suggest everyone to add it to their bucket list You will be hooked !!!!“

“Only the best Chicken Shop in NYC 🥰“

“I used to get chicken from the a flushing location, but this one is more convenient for me. I love that it’s not just chicken burgers. I can’t eat carbs anymore, but sometimes I’m craving fried chicken. I love their fried chicken wings and drumettes. It’s so flavorful. They definitely use a bit of curry powder for seasoning. I get the mild. Their spicy can get very spicy for me. Next time I will try the roast wings or whole chicken. It’s well seasoned, chicken is crunchy, and the value for the money I paid is great! This is not really a sit down place. You can but it’s fairly no frills. Best for takeout and delivery. It’s a mom and pop shop so happy to help out. Also, the chicken isn’t overly salted like Popeyes. Good for a fried chicken fix without raising my blood pressure :)“

“Love it hot and spicy nice“

“I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Delicious! Dine in was awesome!“

“TLDR: Great Korean fried chicken shop in Greenpoint. Spicy crispy wings and definitely try a Korean corn dog.

I was curious to try a few spots in Greenpoint and this was one of them. The chicken is fried fresh so you do need to wait a bit but who doesn't want their chicken made to order?

I'm not a corn dog person at all but I did try the half/half with the potato coating. It was still hot from the fry and the cheese pull on the mozzarella half was very impressive. The beef hot dog half was also good as well. It's finished with powder sugar (as it's mean to be) and it all works pretty well together. Grabbed one for the wife and she was very happy with it.

I ordered the crispy spicy wings and these were very enjoyable. There are not many Korean chicken shops that do this style. I prefer mine sauceless and the battery has a nice kick to it. The skin is crunchy and the chicken is juicy and VERY HOT.

Brought some wings back home and air-fried them the next day, still very delicious. Definitely would check out again if I'm in the area.“

“Dave's Hot Chicken spice reaper level is the real deal. Got me groveling over the toilet for hours. Them having you signing a waiver is totally warranted.

Oh food is great btw, 5 out of 5, would order again... Maybe not reaper level but would order here again.“

“The food is great, it's small but the chicken wings are really tasty. I love going there and getting the Kimchi Pancake.“

“muy bueno el pollo frito y el pollo asado“

“I have only received 2 boxes so far but overall I really do enjoy the food! I work 12-13 hours shifts so coming home knowing I have a different meal ready each day of the week is very nice considering I can be a picky eater. The variety in the foods is great and I really appreciate the portion sizes. Customer support is also very responsive whenever I have had issues.“

“This place is honestly kind of insanely good and I really miss living close by. I used to live just a couple blocks away and I'd drop in maybe once a month or so. Really great food for the price. Better fried chicken sandwich than what you can get from ANY fast food place, period. Better than Popeyes, Chic Fil A, whatever, this is really on another level. Very good fries too.“

“The food is amazingly delicious. The staff is so friendly. I am totally going back“

“great location. perfect size. food is on point 💥💯🇪🇨 great portions and I jave never been disappointed! com on Come All!“

“We need Jollibee here to build in Showlow Az“

“Went in on a lunch break, decided to grab some fried fish, salad, and the fried chicken special. The service was smooth and quick, with my order coming in ~half an hour. Aside from the people onions in the salad everything was delicious. Will definitely return when I can.“

“The owner is so kind and the food is amazing. The chicken so juicy and delicious and the fries too. Definitely recommend’“

“The best pizza ever! the customer service is amazing! ❤️ Been there a lot of times!“

“What a lovely Korean fried chicken spot nestled away inside the back of a supermarket. 98% halal menu which is awesome. Try their chicken sandwiches, onion rings & variety of sauces. Their flavors are unmatched! You'll love them just as much as I did.“

“Alex you were missed . So im visiting from Virginia and the same person who took my order 2 years ago was still here lol. He took it upon himself to help the deaf customers that was in front of me and bring their order to them because he knew they wouldnt hear. He’s so sweet“

“I originally was going to order take out, but there was a seat available, so I decided to stay. The women working there brought my food to me and she also gave me a cup of water. I thought the chicken was flavorful but a tad bit salty. I love that it's dark meat! I ate the salad before I took the picture. Oops!“

“Food is always good. I have no complaints about that and the atmosphere is always good vibrations. Anytime I walk through the door. The cashier aren’t really friendly. I get it because if I work an 8hr. shift and it’s the end of the day. I’m tired too. But they can be a little more friendly, smile, and courteous. Everything else is great.“

“This place is out of this world good!! Don’t like rice? Take a look and lean in and see the basil leaves and onion, I’ve worked in a lot of Restaurants, this is truly real hard working people comfort food done to its best possible ! “This place is the best. I truly love going here. The service and the help of all employees working there is unbelievable. They explain each Tea and foods on the Menu . The fried chicken combos are insane. So delicious!!! Many different seasonings. My favorite is Honey Mustard and Lemon Pepper. This is 5 stars and if I could give more I would. Please try it, guaranteed to love it !“

“J*** chicken is always on point - one of the best I’ve tasted in a while - so flavorful and delicious. They have found themselves another repeat customer - always. Would definitely recommend Steve’s Original J**** You won’t be disappointed.“

“Perfect roasted chicken for your entire family. They have family combos of whole roasted chicken, rice, beans, sweet plantains and avocado salad perfect for family of four.“

“If you haven’t been to this restaurant, I suggest you get here. Service is good very attentive. He explains the menu if you have any questions there’s one chef there heavyset African-American man amazing with the beef ribs. Every time I go there he’s cooking they come out 100% not like they don’t want any other time but he put some special Love in there so they’re on 1000. I enjoy everything on the menu they have Yucca fries. They are so good. The rotisserie chicken is juicy flavorful and I give this restaurant a big thumbs up.“

“This place is everything 💜👍🏾“

“Had a great evening enjoying some delicious wings, waffles and conversation with Chef Devin. The wings are perfectly seasoned and not too heavy, but great flavor! The waffle complimented the wings nicely and we’ll be back to try more items and hang out!“
