“Anderson's roast beef sandwich is amazing. Tender, thinly-sliced beef piled high on a kimmelweck roll with salt and caraway seeds. The horseradish spread is a sharp, sinus-clearing kick, which makes the juicy beef taste even better. Then the vanilla/rich chocolate custard, is creamy, cold and sweet. Definitely worth it!! I'm going back to Buffalo soon to try more of their menu.“

“No I don’t recommend French Road Dairy Queen. The workers are rude. Online says they’re open until 10 so my kids and I ride our bikes a couple miles to French road Dairy Queen looking for a tasty treat. On arrival the inside area is already closed at 9:45. Drive thru is open since they don’t have a walk up window like every other ice cream shop I figured I could get served at the drive thru window. NOPE. No ice cream for you they say like I’m in the Sienfeld episode The soup Nazi only it’s ice cream. My kids and I were so disappointed. The ride home was treacherous with no calories in our systems. “Usually really good, our order is always right, but sometimes it’s a group of young kids working that don’t really seem to care about whether you get your food/ice cream at a decent time or not. They tend to care more about being on their phones and listening to music/joking with each other than customer service but that seems to be pretty typical these days. Otherwise it’s been good“

“Originally from Buffalo but moved away 40yrs ago. Have tried Sponge Candy from all the Buffalo confectioners and Antoinette’s is by far the best - for one reason…. The ratio of sponge to chocolate coating is superb!! Much, much better than their competitors.“

They use all fresh meats and vegetables - tomatoes are fresh and bright red (other sub shops will bury unripe, yellow slices in under the mayo), lettuce is fresh iceberg and not shredded, rolls and meats are fresh. I pass 4 sub shops on my way to J & M’s on Transit Rd. You wait a bit too long for them to take your phone order but it’s worth the wait. Great staff!“
