“Only drove 75 miles and it was worth it, we milled the food in the car, it was just like home, thank you so much for bringing back all the memories of take outs on a Friday night from Walkinstown or Clondalkin, a long way from home, we ordered 2, 3 in 1 trays and extra curry sauce and prawn crackers and chicken balls and spicebag chicken balls and 2 cans of rock shandy, portion sizes is big, and the food is amazing. The food?! AMAZING. Perfectly priced for the quality of what you’re getting. Definitely have the Double Decker with the Maple Beef Bacon! The Panko Chicken Nuggets were crispy, and fresh. “I came here on a wednesday night with my wife after a day of travelling and our waitress Nia was very helpful. My wife had some questions about the menu and Nia was very knowledgeable. “Fine enough Smashburger. The food was good. We did receive reusable plastic cups for our drinks, since we ate in. Not everyone did, so that was weird. The girl who took our order was eating as she took our order, which was unexpected. She was nice enough though. There were not too many clean tables when we sat, but the same girl came to wipe them off when she had a chance. Football was on the two televisions, on a Sunday, which I guess is good for fans. Had a fine enough experience. The food is good so I would return.“

“I've been eyeballing this place for months, waiting for it to open. I finally tried it last night. I was a little skeptical at first because I didn't know what the items on the Balkan side of the menu would be like. I took the risk and ordered the Balkan burger because I'm not too into traditional burgers.

The Balkan burger was SO good. The meat was perfectly seasoned and moist. The other toppings were fresh and evenly distributed. The sauce complemented everything so well. But my favorite part was the bread! It's Suman bread instead of traditional burger buns and omg it was so tasty. Very light and it had a light crispiness to it. It's also a good size so I was satisfied and full but did not feel greasy and gross as I usually do after eating burgers. The whole experience was 10/10. I will definitely be coming back for another Balkan burger soon!“

After visiting this location for a few more times, I can give a more accurate review. Initial review was during the first week this place opened up.

The burger is not bad, has all the classics ingredients for a regular burger but for me too little meat. For a better meaty burger I recommend getting two patties. The single patty burgers leaves me feeling unsatisfied.

The fries from the last few times I orders has been bad. They are shoestring cut fries and it seems like they fry a bunch ahead of time and keep them to the side until needed. Some of them are hard as a pretzel and others limp.

Unfortunately the wings seem like they suffer the same fate, but with less flavor. It’s not common to get un-breaded halal wings in the Bronx (most of them are the tiny breaded ones from your local halal deli), but they are missing some marinade or something to bring it alive, besides drenching it with sauce.

The crispy chicken sandwich was very oily, and definitely double fried. Which means it was half fried before and left to the side until a customer orders one and they re-fry them. This makes the chicken rubbery and the breading dark brown and oily. I rather wait a few more minutes for a made to order chicken sandwich.

Being raised in the neighborhood, I was excited to have this place open up and wanted to make it regular place I go, to get my fix, but they have to work on some quality control before they have me be a regular. I really hope they listen to the customers concerns and revamp their process in the kitchen. I really want to see local halal businesses like this one succeed but the food has to be up to par.

The workers there are very friendly and the atmosphere is your nicely decorated burger joint.

“I ordered a huge order last sun and went to pick it up. The lady was so patient. She double checked and made sure I had everything before leaving. Very friendly and courteous she was. I wish I knew her name though. The food was so good also.“

“We got to the White Plains Farmers Market a bit late and Gaucho Burger Company was already sold out! So we did one better, walked around the corner for a delicious lunch at the restaurant itself. “Good place. I've been going to them since they opened. When they first opened, they were absolutely the best place to get a burger around. After a few months, they jacked their prices, quickly followed by their quality dropping big time. I've tried them a couple of times a year since, and I'm happy to say they seem to have gone back, at least somewhat, to the way they started. The prices aren't bad again and the quality has gotten much better again. They have a couple of tables with seats in the front, a few booths next to the kitchen, and a nice little backyard dining area. Service is good, but they are a family owned and operated place, so when it gets busy, you shouldn't expect drop of a hat type service.“

“I went there for the first time today 10/29/24. I ordered the mix over rice. The process was so easy, order and pay on the virtual screen. The young men preparing the food were helpful, answering my questions. The food was delicious, a nice mix of lamb and chicken over a nicely seasoned rice and salad. Their sauces are very good also. I will definitely order from them again. The only complain is there is no dining in option but it's ok.“

Their chicken sandwich is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor.
