“This is a little piece of HOME for me... The basic house salad is actually my favorite item on the menu... It's the secret house dressing for me!!!! I would put it on everything, if they sold it.... So to keep it real, I come for a plate of wings, a salad, & a slice of river bottom pie! If you know you know!!!! BOMB!“
“They do not sell food, beer and wine only. They make a mean frozen sangria! I never have a problem getting a seat and the bartender remembered me! Cool spot.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get into the market, there are no stairs. It might be a little difficult to navigate once inside. The spaces between the different vendors can be narrow.“
“Excellent watering hole! Nice drink variety. Kind and capable, Irish bartenders. Behan's hosts a more mature clientele. One can sit here, enjoy and pint with friends, and/or think a little without all the craziness. Clean bathrooms here along with ample seating, indoors and out. Two thumbs up!“
“Food is always delicious! Emily is usually our server and is always smiling and very attentive and quick! We love coming to Doubleday's for Monday bingo, it's such a wonderful atmosphere that reminds us of cheers where everyone knows your name.“
“We arrived early for dinner. Service was quick. The food was tasty, and portions were large. I had enough for lunch the next day.Parking: We were early on a week day in February, so parking was simple. I am sure it can get difficult on weekends and during the summer.“
“Visited this establishment for a post rugby match social hosted by the local club. Plenty of room in the front and the back when you go inside and also space outside to sit down and watch the games. There must have been over 40 of us and there was hardly a wait time for the turnaround for your drinks. The bartenders were friendly and the bar top was kept busy with good pints of Guinness going back and forth. Plenty of parking off Street for your designated drivers.“
“Great place to relax and unwind. Tony and Steve are the best boat and generator mechanics and detatailers. I always enjoy my wining and dining with my aunts and uncles.... can't wait to go fishing and "SOAK IN THE SUNNNNN!!!!! Hurrayyyyy!!!!!“
“A few things to consider here include the happiness that ensues between Tuesday and Thursday. When Richie works, forget it. You truly feel at home! Free Pool on Mondays is a plus. They host several events frequently and the owner is very generous and brings in Free food. Hoagies, wings, macaroni salads and so forth. Every three drinks, you get a buy-back. The crowd is lax, ranging from 30's to 60's. Everyone seems happy. They offer Touch Tunes services as well. Overall, I can safely call this bar a home minus some people who just only seem to like their own crowd. Editing the review again: Here on a delicious Wednesday. The bartender Richie has exemplified customer service. He is charismatic, forgiving and dives into conversation with you. I had him make me an Aperol Spritz and it was exactly as I remembered it from my 21st birthday. Then I had him concoct me two Bloody Mary's and he made them from scratch. If you're a savory drink lover, PLEASE give this man a try! They were AMAZING! Tuesdays and Wednesday's is when he works. Remember these days after 7PM and you're in good hands. Hands down one of the best bartenders in Queens. A true Gem.“
“Steak Connoisseuse write #1 2/10/2024 I'm at Larchmont tavern (LT) and I'm eating prime aged New York Strip steak. VERY juicy, red in the middle ( my favorite In my opinion), and also the after taste like when your done chewing is very flavorful depending on the red on the piece of steak. but... all the juice is stored in the red or the middle of the steak and when you pick it up and it gets inside your mouth all and I mean all the juice comes out in your mouth leaving with the steak... it has no more flavor from when the juice came out. But other then that SO GOOD!! So I'll give 9/10. The best:Isabella Mingalone“
