Don’t miss scallion pancake, fried pot stickers, chicken satay with peanut sauce, tom kha soup, drunken noodles, basil fried rice ... we were stuffed to the gills, but then we saw the dessert menu. Sticky rice and mango ... and 4 forks please! 🤣 I’m uncomfortably full (my fault) but can’t wait to go back.“

“We had one of our most satisfying meal at Gai Chicken & Rice. I must admit that it wasn’t what I had expected but the chicken was delicious and the ginger flavored rice was just like home cooked (Malaysia)
We ordered the roasted chicken bowl, the spicy fried chicken and the steamed chicken bowls. The first two were great but the steamed chicken was a bit too pink for us and the owner was very receptive to our concern and they change it to a roasted set immediately without any extra charge.
As we were still enjoying our dinner, the owner came over with a small order of the steamed chicken but this time, he said it was fully steamed till it was all white like what we were used to and it was really juicy.
We left with a full stomach and will definitely try it again. Thank you!“

“This place will ruin you for pad tai because after having his, no other restaurant compares. He puts so much into it, the noodles are perfect and there are bean sprouts and peanuts and he ask how spicey you want it and don’t even get me started on the portion size, plenty for two and very reasonably priced. “Situated near the waterfront, this restaurant serves good Thai cuisine. We ordered a Thai green curry, fried rice, Raw mango Thai curry, and Hannanaise chicken. The gravies were accompanied by a bowl of rice.
Quite well prepared. I had the Thai green curry which I felt was flavorful, very well prepared chicken, and not too much coconut? Usually the gravy has this coconut ingredient and does well. However, this was a bit on the thinner side but quite tasty. The raw mango gravy which I tasted felt good. The fried rice was okay.
Service was good and the host attentive.

And the new building and seating are far superior to those in the prior incarnation. Sonya and her family have done it again! For us, Pad Thai Noodle is an essential fixture in the restaurant scene of the Capital District. Their Green Curry (my favorite) and the signature Pad Thai (my wife’s fave) are simply unmatched around here. Highly and unreservedly recommended.“

“Went for dinner. Plenty of free parking as it was after 5 PM. Amazing food - drunken noodle, green curry and Tom Yum fried rice (all 3 with chicken but you could choose pork/beef/shrimp, etc). Vegetables in all 3 dishes were fresh and crisp - not overcooked and mushy.“
