Popped in with mates last night and was chuffed with the food. Sweet and sour chicken was properly crispy, not greasy like most places. The prawn stir-fry was fresh and the General Tso’s chicken was covered in sesame seeds with this brilliant sticky sauce.
Portions are massive - couldn’t finish mine. Staff are no-nonsense, just get your food out quick and top up your drinks. Place looks a bit dated but honestly who cares when the food’s this good.
Been to quite a few Chinese places round Liberty and this one actually knows what they’re doing. Not fancy but reliable, which is exactly what you want sometimes. Already planning to bring the missus next week.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“First time we have eaten at LOTUS and the food was FABULOUS. We started with the Crispy Pork appetizer which overflowed on our plate as well as a delicious bowl of Wonton which contained five delicate dumplings. Our main dish was Lemongrass Lamb Chops which was incredible: subtle taste and cooked to perfection. We added a side dish of green string beans and finished off our meal with Fried Bananas and a serving of chocolate covered mousse. Our waitress was named BELLA and she was full of answers to any questions we asked. The restaurant includes 20% gratuity on their bill, so nothing to think about. The food was so good, we even ordered take-out for later this weekend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.“

“We had the Peking Duck which was outstanding and our waitress. Sabrina was wonderful very attentive, but not overbearing. It is a nice relaxing place to eat. We made reservations but during the week I don't think it's necessary weekends usually get packed.“
