The fact that it’s Zabiha makes it even better, knowing everything is halal and carefully sourced. The food? Incredible. We started with the beef Bihari, and they were so juicy and packed with flavor—just the right amount of spice and served with this fresh mint chutney that tied everything together. The biryani, which was perfection. The rice was fragrant, and the meat was super tender, with all those spices working in harmony. The real star, though, was their Amazing Nihari. It tasted homemade, like something you’d get at a family gathering. The spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. You could tell they put real love into this dish.
And let’s not forget the naan—soft, warm, and just the right texture to scoop up all the delicious flavors. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re craving real Pakistani food, Al Kababi should be at the top of your list. As it is my first time being here, I was blown away by all these delicious flavors. This definitely won’t be my last time. Highly recommend! 5 STARS!“

“Best Halal food in Deer Park. I ordered the fish over rice and it was absolutely delicious! The dish came with salad, bread and rice with extra white sauce. Personally, I prefer King Halal over Naz and Shah. Some people think that Naz, Shah and King Halal are the same. Trust me, King Hala is much delicious. I also would like to mention that you get the same taste every time you eat it.“

“This place is making so much money off me. Its the freshest, cheapest, fast food place thats open late with no wait time lol. Love the chicken over rice. Always on point. “Kandahar Grill is a great halal spot in Hicksville! We ordered the family platter, and the serving was more than enough for all of us. The food was delicious, and the staff were very nice and helpful throughout our visit.

If you’re dining in, they automatically add an 18% tip to the total—but honestly, the service and hospitality deserve it. Definitely worth a visit for generous portions and friendly service.“

“This truck has been operated by Sammy in this same spot since 2010. The chicken over rice will cost you $8. The portion size was just right for me. The quality of the chicken and the rice was above average. The white sauce and the hot sauce were both pretty good too. I will go back for a combo plate next time to taste their lamb. “Plenty of parking at the outdoor mall strip. Clean vibe - courteous staff. They take card or cash. They also have lunch specials available where you can get a platter with a can of soda. We got the chicken rice platter 8/10 and the combo rice platter 9/10. Their lamb is really good and I recommend it. Their white sauce is not the best I have had but decent. Their vegetables were fresh. Overall I would go back and recommend.“
