“The food here is deliciously authentic. I love the cozy yet lively vibe that the colorful artwork and decor bring.
I came for Taco Tuesday and was not disappointed. For those who are vegetarian, this is one of the few places I know with sooo many options and varieties for tacos. I cannot wait to try them all. They also have wonderful jugos frescos. I had the tamarind. Yum! 😋

“I ordered a mix over rice, and for starters it’s a great deal you get a drink and a filling plate for under $10. The lamb is pretty flavorful but not as much as the chicken, the hot sauce adds and pairs really well with the protein and rice while the green sauce gives it a fresh minty flavor. I’d say there are way better tasting food carts but it is 100% a bang for your buck. Be prepared to stand in a 10-15min line“

“Love their products. In fact I stopped buying any soybean product (Tofu Skin & Soymilk mainly) from other brands after tried Kong Kee. Haven't seen their product in the market for a while, I guess it's due to the COVID-19. Hope they can survive this difficult time and look forward to buying tons of their product again.“

“I went to a lot of restaurants in New York that were much fancier than this cart but this was my favorite food of the day. The cheong fun was gooey and had qq and a decent amount of meat. For $5 for the large, it was such a deal and fed three of us as a snack. I would go back in a heartbeat and order more. Wish we had this in Chinatown in Houston.“

“We came to fill our tummies with the best chicken rice in nyc (I’ve eaten pretty much every hainanese chicken rice there is in nyc, even Thai ones) but left with our hearts filled with warmth as well.

We can either our 1.5 yo daughter and upon realizing I was at the time alone with my daughter, he suggested we get a high chair which I was not aware was available. He went ahead and took the high chair for my kiddo and also went ahead to carry both trays of chicken rice to our table.

The kindness did not end there. During the meal, he noticed my daughter was not eating much of the chicken rice so he got his staff to come over to give us a half a bowl of chicken congee, which my daughter loved. He made sure the extra seasoning was put on the side instead which was a nice touch.

We were so touched by his actions and my wife was almost in tears by his kindness.

We gobbled down our chicken rice, my daughter finished most of the congee (which was also very tasty), thanked him and his staff for their kindness, and left with good vibes all over.

So if you ever see Christopher there, give that kind man a shoutout. What a wonderful human being. The world needs more Christophers. Be like him!“

“Such an underrated Halal food cart right at the heart of Wall Street Financial District. Rather than going out of your way to a fancy Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant, I highly recommend stopping by the Continental Express Halal Guys.

This is your no-nonsense New York staple, the Halal street food, and they do it very well here.

I got the Combination Over Rice, which consists of lamb gyros and chicken over rice and slathered with that delicious, signature white sauce plus a generous dash of spicy red sauce to boot.

So how does it taste? Like a gushing waterfall of yummy, earthy flavor and spices in every bite! It may look like a relatively small box, but it's dense in taste.

And on top of that, this is only $7.00 cash or $7.95 with card! You get so much for your money and you leave with a full, satisfied stomach.

“The auntie at this cart pays attention to the details and does not skimp on the sauce, she used a scissor to make small openings in the noodle for the sauce to seep through to the bottom, giving a nice coating of sauce to every part of the noodles instead of letting most of the sauce pile up on top. The pork is a salty barbecued pork, and the king of kings is also a little salty. Others I ordered include beef, mutton, gluten, and chicken hearts, which were both good! “My partner has been talking about the Dosa man in NYC for a longggg time! We finally made a trip to NY and NY Dosas was our first stop. Waited in line for an hour and honestly it was so worth it. It was a beautiful sunny day in Washington square park when we went so it made waiting more enjoyable. Plenty of places to sit on the benches of the park. Make sure to ask for extra napkins because it can get a little messy. Sambar and coconut chutney are great! “Easily the best Halal Food Truck in the area. The person running the truck (possibly the owner) is the nicest man around! Friendly, conversational, caring and genuine. I love when his truck is outside my work, makes my day, even if I just get to pass by and say hi!

Sidenote: The hot sauce is super super hot! I like spicy food but when I ordered the chicken over rice with the white and hot sauce for the first time on UberEATS, I cried eating it lol. I eventually had to buy another plate with no sauces to mix with the first to dilute the spiciness.

So just use a little bit of hot sauce or ask for it on the side :)“

“Jianbing was so so so good! We just got the top-of-the-menu recommended on, but their options are very diverse and interesting. To-go only, but well wrapped. Some cold noddle options, beef patties. Quite nice and made right in front of you.

Got felafel over rice .. felafel was fresh ….i actually liked their saffron rice . It was fresh and tasted good . They gave it with salad and some sauce on the top. Costed about 11$ , which isn’t bad . Quantity of rice was small but it was good enough ! My friends had lamb over rice and they liked it . Good experience overall …“

“Notalgic is the word that defines the place, the older gentleman who was there, who is not the owner JohnPhillis, is a person who should be retired, has no patience with customers and tourists, is very rude when dealing with people, and This ends up influencing the rest of the team, who learn how not to treat people. I loved the hamburger I ate, the fries were perfect, only the Coca Cola is very still for those who are used to drinking bottled ones, I loved the place, I hope one day to go back and meet John in person who, from the videos I watched, seems to be a very interesting person.“

“After leaving nearby Central Park, I stopped here to use their restroom and get a fresh coffee.
Both were great. The restroom was clean and well maintained & the coffee was hot and delicious.
The staff here is friendly and the place is decorated for Halloween.
There were some great food options here too, including waffles and ice cream.

“The Peking Duck here is tasty with rich flavor and crispy skin, but the meat itself was a bit too tough and chewy, making it hard to bite through cleanly. While the seasoning and presentation were enjoyable, the texture of the duck could definitely be improved for a better dining experience.“
