11 Best Craft Breweries near Massapequa Park

Motion Craft Brewed Brewery • $$
1036B Park Blvd, Massapequa Park

“Only stopped in for a single round before heading to dinner, but I definitely want to come back and sample more of the menu. I love trying new and unique beers, and my wife is more of a cider and mead person. We've never seen a place that provided both and made them, too! We came in and were able to grab the last free table, though there were still seats available at the bar. This place is very small, so I imagine later in the night it would get pretty crowded. For reference we arrived shortly after 5 PM on a Saturday. I got the blonde ale, which was very good, and my wife got one of the meads. A quick round later, we were off.“

W A Meadwerks Brewery •
290 N Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst - 4.18 miles

“An absolutely must-visit on Long Island, whether you're a mead fan or not! Very friendly and knowledgable staff and lots of award-winning and delicious meads to try. We were particularly impressed by the coffee and chocolate meads, which were perfectly balanced in terms of flavor, sweetness, and strength. We generally preferred the standard strength over draft, but to each their own! Perfect and reasonably-priced flight options, and board games to play while you sip your meads as well!“

“Awesome historical spot. Warm atmosphere with old Christmas cartoons projected in the wall, good music. Got to chop it up with one of the owners and he was a real good dude. I had two beers. Both were great. My only regret was not visiting this place sooner. I'll definitely be back. Cheers ?“

“Finally got over to try them and so glad I did. A few tables and the bar in front and more tables in back & outside in the back. Lots of options on tap, friendly server. I got L. Bee's knees brewed with honey, lavender & sage. I really like it! Then tried the killer queen, filled with warm spices, wow it was good, took some home. I highly recommend you go!“

Root + Branch Brewing Brewery • $$
360 Marconi Blvd, Copiague - 2.76 miles

“We got the delicious sour and the bone in the throat. The sour had the right balance of fruit, tart and hops. I just loved it. This is going to be my default here. The bone in throat was quite a surprise. I was expecting it to be way bitter but it was pleasant. Had great beers and a great time. I did not get to taste the pizza this time but I hear only good things about them.“

BrewSA Brewing Company Brewery • $
180 Woodcleft Ave, Freeport - 7.37 miles

“I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to write one now. Tonight we threw a surprise birthday party for a family member here. The entire experience was amazing. The owner is super accommodating, even letting me switch the date or the event last minute and change the number of people. They gave us ample space to set up food, desserts, and have more than enough seating for our guests. The bartender was awesome, friendly, and very helpful. He even came to sweep our area before our event started after we dropped some decorations on the floor. There was a live band that everyone enjoyed, from the younger guests to the older guests. The games also kept the kids entertained. This place was exactly what we were looking for and it was perfect for everyone who attended, from the 4 year old up to the 78 year old. This is perfect for events and families!“

Breslau Brewing Company Brewery • $$
224 N Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst - 4.22 miles

“Awesome brewery with a family-friendly feeling to it. This was the last stop of the day for me after hitting a few other breweries. The beers were really good and there were a good amount of styles to choose from. Everyone there was having a good time. They had a big fluffy golden doodle running around who was awesome. I also like that the sampler glasses were little beakers. I'll be back for sure.“

“Extremely glad to have found Barnshed Brewing. Along with delicious, fresh, cold beer, the low key atmosphere is exactly what I was looking for. Being that everything is brewed on site, there's always something for everyone. The Propaganda Porter, Bethpage Black IPA, and the We Care Alot NEIPA collab were all amazing. Sand City Brewing Brewery • $$
150 S Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst - 4.35 miles

“Sand City has the usual industrial setup where the tasting room is part of the brewery at the back. Since the whole place is open, the yeast and hops smell is strong. Loved the breakfast stout and their sour. There is a food truck outside with outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. Good place to chill out if you can stomach the smell. It kind of grew on me and I was okay with it. The staff was very helpful and gave good explanation of the beers and samples.“
