“My brother moved by this spot like a month ago and I know this place OH SO WELL. ? I’m in Freeport and I haven’t found empanadas as good as Mamma Gina’s. When I tell you the food just hits every time, they’re honestly so consistently great.Parking: It’s a small lot, so just take it slow turning into it.“
“Off the hook!!! Best authentic arepas I've found all around. Am so glad I found this spot. The food is so tasty ?. Omg I love their green sauce that goes with the arepas. This got the spot 4me. ??❤️ I love how clean the place is and the home-feel atmosphere which includes a cool music reel. Thank you ? (sorry have no photos because I ate it all)“
“It's date night but we've got a plus .5 with us. Not gonna stop me from giving you my honesty about this diner. It's crazy packed in here but service is moving very fast. Delicious hot plates sizzling left and right if you. The menu looks huge, but don't be alarmed it's the same menu just in both English and Spanish side by side. The ambiance was very diner style but a high performing one. The owner/manager was coming around like clock work. Service was outstanding. Food quality was stellar, the waiter quickly explained the menu. We opted for steaks that came with a side salad, rice and beans, and maduros. Steaks arrived on a sizzling cast iron plates and they were smelling phenomenal. There were juices running down my side right after the first bite. Perfectly seasoned and even better with their home made Chimichurri. Although I did feel a bit rushed to leave, I was still pretty impressed with the food quality and service. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. PS - the tres leches was fantastic, not as good as the Mofongo place, but definitely very good decision for dessert. Happy yelping and enjoy this recommendation.“
“Kind of a hidden gem. Food is good. Prices are reasonable but if you're looking for something trendy this is not the place. At first glance. I don't think most people would even realize that they serve food it just looks like a small bakery. Don't let that intimidate you sit at one of the tables. Look through the menu and give the food a try.“
“Excellent place, food, wonderful service, I ordered a chicken combo, and I was surprised by the amount they served, up to 3 people can eat, best of all at a very good price, I ate a stuffed potato and I loved it, highly recommended, they have very good variety of food.“
“If you want Home Cooked Colombian Meals and variety of colombian goods and snacks come here! Food was Great, the attention was perfect, and they had a great variety of authentic colombian products. It felt like i was back in colombia! I suggest you come here.“
“Delicious breaded fried chuletta served with salad, rice and beans, and maduras. Service is good. Wish I knew I'd be charged $9 for hot sauce though. Was there on Thursday night unaware it was Karaoke Night so it was very loud. Food never disappoints.“
“Came here for a quick lunch during my break. After moving to Long Island it is quite difficult to find a Spanish restaurant. I found this restaurant on google. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted. There are some people behind the counter that speak English but they speak mostly Spanish. I do speak Spanish, but it was good to know that there are other people that can speak English, because I wanted to share this restaurant with my colleagues at work and they do not speak Spanish. Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful. I ordered the special of the day which was caldo de res (beef soup)- there is an option to order it "Complete" which comes with rice topped with beef stew, macaroni salad, and plantain. I got a Colombiana soda to go with it and it was perfect!!! it was nice, clean, bright inside and the bakery is to die for. I didn't get to take pictures of the empanadas and pan de queso I bought, but it's a MUST have. I would love to try their cakes next time, it looked so good!! they have a whole pastry/bread section. Definitely recommend this place“
“My family found this gem. It's a small little shop with reasonably priced, delicious food. There is a pretty expansive menu and plenty of desserts. The place is in a pretty busy area, but there is a lot in the back. Bring change for the meters. There is parking in the front, but that is hard to comeby. There are tables inside, but we are more of a take out people lately. The staff was friendly, place seemed clean and the food is good. If you like Columbian, give this place a shot.“
“Looking for a local place to grab a cup of coffee and something sweet and google gave me this nearby bakery! Went in and the employees were all welcoming and the place was clean! I ordered a coffee and a piece of cake with dulce de leche on top. The coffee was delicious and the cake was so fresh and delicious!! I am glad I stopped at this little place on my way home to QUEENS! I would definitely return when back in the area. The only recommendation I have is that the staff should prepare and serve the coffee for patrons. I put together two cups of coffee and the coffee is scalding hot, if it were to spill it would burn really bad. Especially because of COVID, the staff should handle the coffee instead of having patrons touching everything. Aside from this one thing, the coffee and cake slice was amazing and I would recommend!!!“
“What a great little place! I had to go to the dentists next door and I thought I'd try it out! The staff is super nice, the food is really good and they even have some nice drinks. They had an afternoon drink special. I like how the owners decorated the place too. Que lugar pequeña pero bonito y buenisimo!“
“Food is really good here. Nothing fancy just bare bones with good food. Service could be better but if you are looking to eat good colombian food at an affordable price, this is your spot. I've had just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Definitely check this place out but remember to be patient, the service isn't breaking any speed recordsParking: There is plenty of parking if you go during off hrs but if you go during dinner time you will have to park on a side street“
“I've never had authentic Columbian food before...... this was absolutely scrumptious. My daughter has been here but this is my first but definitely not my last time coming here. They have a bakery section that is beautiful and almost tooooo pretty to even contemplate eating......Almost The restaurant is clean, inviting with very friendly & helpful employees. There's plenty of cute tables throughout the restaurant. The menu is well planned without being large & intimidating. They have a nice selection of breakfast, appetizers, pasta, salads, soup, sandwiches native dishes, empanadas along with beef, chicken & seafood dishes. There's even a kids menu. Theres a nice selection of shakes, juices & other beverages. We both had the #2....Calentado Paiso which is a very large plate filled with grilled steak, fried pork belly, white rice with beans, egg, corn cake with cheese, sweet plantain & avocado. I had a wonderful blackberry mora en agai. We also shared a large slice of coconut cake which was moist, flavor& delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to come back“
“Excellent business, high quality bond bread, fresh empanadas all day, you can't miss the Thursday special, completely original and warm Santafereño ajiaco, I recommend going for a cold winter day and a hot summer day, a must-see placeParking: fifty“
“My mom and I came to eat breakfast as it was recommended to us by a friend. I had huevos pericos con arepa y queso and it was delicious. My mom had the soup of the day and she said it was delicious & perfect for the cold weather. The portion are pretty big so the pricing seems fair. Although, it did seem a little pricey but everything in NY is. It nicely decorated inside. The service was great, everyone was super nice. All in all, had a great experience and will definitely come back again!“
