“My husband and I have been trying to go out to dinner for the longest, and finally, we got the opportunity. We chose to go to Lombardi's because it was local and the menu was extensive.This is like a hidden gem in the middle of Long Island. When we got there, we could see other patrons were enjoying themselves. Thankfully it was an older crowd, and we fit right in. No loud drunks, no loud music - the music was perfect for the atmosphere - think Frank Sinatra and the like. This place has a cozy and upscale vibe, with friendly and helpful staff. I would call it a very traditional Italian Restaurant.Let's talk about the food!We were offered a selection of plain or garlic bread. We got the garlic bread and WHOAH. SO SO good I had to control myself because I didn't want to fill up on bread before the food came. I would go back just for that bread lol.The salads that come with dinner are generous and have a nice variety of greens in them. The dressing is chef's kiss! DELISH! They are not small portions either.For dinner my husband got a pasta dish that he devoured and barely spoke because he was so into his food. This is a rare thing my husband is picky about food. I did snag some broccoli rabe off of his plate and I can say now that I want to go back and order what he had next time!I ordered something that actually wasn't on the menu, and before I even finished asking if they could make it, the lovely waitress was like "he can do it" I was astonished because in many places the chef will be a jerk about special requests and some flat out refuse.IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN PICCATA I HAVE EVER HAD, I was so happy. The portion was huge, the flavor knocked my socks off. This is my all-time favorite dish and I order it everywhere. Lombardi's definitely made it the best.Lastly they have AMAZING coffee lol. The kind of coffee that has a quality taste to it, I suspect it might have been a 100% arabica blend. I drank it black and it was smooth with no bitterness.My hubs had a cannoli that was the size of a house, but I skipped desert because I was too full.There is a 100% chance we will be going back there very often in the future considering we live locally.“

“Fantastic meal tonight. We had several food allergies including gluten and dairy. They were amazing at making sure that we had several options to meet all of our dietary needs. The owner came out and explained the menu to us. They were unbelievably helpful and the food was absolutely delicious! “We ate on Wednesday to celebrate my birthday. This was our 30th visit and the best ever. We've eaten steaks at Lugers and Old Homestead and Sparks and the Orto flat-iron steak is the best. Perfectly cooked no gristle. They gave me a birthday custard. I love Suzanne , but Maddie was wonderful. And as a big wine drinker I love he BYOB policy. Peaceful place. JIM“

“Joey Z's has some of the best breakfast around! I always enjoy coming here for consistently good food and quick service. I had the banana pancakes (which are my go-to) and my mom had the Eggs Benedict which came with potatoes. The staff and owner are so kind and make you want to keep coming back!“

“This was our first time trying this restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered pizza, baked pasta dishes as well as some Mexican items. Everything was perfect! The people that work add this beautiful clean pizzeria were all very courteous and kind. “I had dined at Stella Trattoria only once before, at Christmastime 2022. I can’t for the life of me figure out why I didn’t get back there sooner. This restaurant is spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We were seated immediately upon arrival, & had drinks in less than 5 minutes. Our waitress, Julie, was the best. The food was nothing short of wonderful! It arrived at the table hot, in very generous portions, and was absolutely delicious! When I took out my “doggie bag” to enjoy a second dinner, I found Julie had marked all our containers making it easy to identify the contents, as well as making sure everything came home, sauce and all! Each one of our party of four thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. Stella Trattoria is FINE DINING.“

“This is the perfect place to stop and grab a slice. Great pies. Local spot. Lots of variety. Super fast, super cheap. Amazing quality. I will say I throughly enjoyed the chicken buffalo but it was super mild. I was hoping for a kick. The pepperoni was amazing. I could have eaten 3 more slices. I'm gonna hit this place at least two more times while I'm here working to try the others. Bbq, veggie, garlic knots.. all looked amazing and the perfection on this crust and sauce leads me to believe they likely are. It's a self seating, get your own drink, and don't hold up the line kind of place. I can see how lunch with kids would be tough. Can't wait to try another slice!“

“I’ve been going here for over 10 years and always enjoyed my experience. The food is consistently getting better. Combine that with the atmosphere and you can’t lose. This is an old charming building which smartly has no tv sets, great atmosphere, candles on the table, table cloths, etc. I think you will love it.“

“Food was fantastic! We wanted something different and decided to check this local place out. The wings were fresh and crispy with amazing sauce. Fresh bread with dinner. Our main dishes were shrimp parm, chicken Marsala, and penne ala vodka. All of those dishes were phenomenal. After, we ordered some freshly made desserts. Every part of the meal was amazing. “Family owned Italian restaurant since '72, the dad Nick was the cook and his 2 sons were working the front. Absolutely the best Italian place (the white pizza was amazing, so good I forgot a photo lol). I tried to convince them to come open one in Orlando lol. “Pasta Pasta is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I was there on Saturday March 16th for an afternoon lunch around 3pm. We were greeted right away and seating just as quickly. Our waitress was attentive and friendly while Anthony also provided us with the lunch menus. We shared all of our food so we could enjoy the amazing CHOCOLATE BAG!!! The space is very cozy and enjoyable and the menu options are incredible! I recommend!“

They're always super busy so just keep that in mind if you need it by a certain time“

“I took my wife here for our 21st anniversary today and had a late lunch/early dinner. I don't have enough nice things to say about our experience. The food was arguably the best we've had in a long time. I had Chicken Parm with Penne and she had Broiled Shrimp with Asparagus Ravioli. Trio deserves 10 ⭐'s for both.This restaurant handles two types of food service, restaurant seating and catering for small to large parties. I've now experienced both. My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. “Whoa, I did not expect this. About 30 minutes ago I just left the restaurant, having eaten a dinner with all my wife’s colleagues and friends. I really thought this was just a pizza parlor- but let me tell you, from the table bread with Tuscany oils and herbs, to the main course, this was by far one of the BEST experiences I’ve had eating out at an Italian place. The fettuccini Alfredo was excellent, the penne a la vodka was also excellent- pastas cooked perfectly and well-sauced with freshest ingredients. . Even the house salad was fresh and perfectly balanced with dressing, not too much, not too little.But that’s not the highlight of the night. The Manicotti dish was one of the best I’ve ever had. Delicate pasta shell cooked magnificently, in a homemade sweet marinara with fresh melted mozzarella on top…you ask yourself- with a beautiful presentation like this could it get any better? Well, the ricotta inside blended slightly with fresh herbs and cooked exactly to perfection, was the creamiest Ive ever known a manicotti dish to be. I work every day in NYC and can tell you this dish was better than most restaurants downtown. Clearly a 10/10 with a friendly staff and a clean environment, I had no idea this gem of a restaurant existed outside of the 5 boroughs. “It's one of those hole in the wall places you just go for the food. The best tacos we have had since leaving Southern California . It is a small Deli, counter serve style with 3 tables to sit.The food was excellent. The tacos, quesadilla, and Papusas everything was freshly prepared and hot. The meats are succulent and juicy.It's not very cheap, but the quality and taste of the food are well worth it.“

“Ugh hate my fat fingers, should be 4 stars. Today was our first visit. We celebrate Palm Sunday with our married kids and grandkids. Very nice decor, all staff super friendly and attentive. Apps came out hot and well cooked. A large menu selection and everyone was pleased. Kids portions plentiful. The adult portions as well came out hot and food was fresh. Will be coming back in May for uncle birthday. Daughter in law and her friend order pizza from here often. Definitely worth a try. The food, oh the food, is always perfect. Fresh, hot, and plentiful. We all leave full and happy. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.UPDATE Palm Sunday 2023 was another we are a family if 10, 6 adults 4 children 12 to 3, and there were two other tables with more and the restaurant was full. Our server Ally was engaging and patient through the entire process.
