“Staff is nice and accommodating. The beauty (and curse) of hot pot is that it's kind of up to you how good the meal is.

My advice? 1) Go heavier than you'd think with seasonings and 2) Add vegetables first (it adds flavor to the broth--and, more importantly, they take longer to cook). The meat takes practically no time to cook, but you also don't have to be in a hurry to eat it.

Looking up food delivery in that area and found Taco Factory...ordered street tacos and they were as good as I've ever had...delivered to me hot, fresh and awsome...the owner took my order and delivered to me. “We had our wedding here on 10/4/25 and it was absolutely incredible! The venue itself was gorgeous and had such a great charm to it. All of our guests couldn’t stop complimenting us on how great it really was. Our photographer kept saying how good a place to take photos it was. Obviously we had high expectations for this night and it was exceeded. My wife said that it was so much better than she had ever dreamt it could be. The staff went above and beyond and made our special day as stress free as can be. Elaina and Steven were fantastic! “Our family was looking last minute for a place to have a family dinner to celebrate our daughter’s ninth birthday after our original reservation fell through at another place. Pelligrinos is our favorite pizza spot so I called them. It was 5:30PM on a Friday night and I asked if they could accommodate our party of nine at 7:00. They were happy to prepare a table for us! I was shocked. They brought us the most incredible plate antipasto and placed it in front of our daughter and said happy birthday! Then we have the most delicious apps, pizza and an incredible pasta special for dinner. We couldn’t have been happier! They then brought complimentary fried dough for dessert for the table! What an incredible experience! We were so grateful that they not only came to our rescue at that late hour, but they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night. “I have frequented the restaurant several times over the years and have always had an enjoyable experience. Until yesterday. The charm of this establishment is the show that the chef puts on. While the food technically met with the restaurant’s standards the show was sadly far below expectations. The chef went through everything as if he was performing a time trial for a NASCAR pit crew. There was no showmanship, the pieces were either to large or to small, no uniformity. Just every part of the expected show was rushed and ruined the experience. I did notice however that other chefs were providing the standard experience that we would have liked to also have enjoyed. I hope that this was a one off and not a trend of decline in this establishment“

“Chicken Cutlet Hunt

Brother Bruno’s in Middletown surprised me. I tried their chicken cutlet with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American cheese, and a drizzle of oil and vinegar—absolutely amazing. Easily the best cutlet I’ve had so far, scoring a solid 8.9/10. The size was great and the blend of all the flavor were perfect.

The cold cut was excellent, but the pizza, while flavorful, wasn’t the best in Middletown as they promised nonetheless—thin, tasty and appealing . Fries were good too, just needed a touch more salt. A strong contender, but the hunt continues!“

“Caputo’s chicken cutlet gets a 6/10—mediocre when fresh, with a buffalo chicken taste that clashed with the veggies, but oddly better when cold. Their pizza’s solid, a go-to for me, but the rice and beans were bland yet still satisfying. Reliable spot, but not without its flaws.

“Food made with love and care and the price is right most tacos are only tres dollars that’s three for all you gringos it’s nice on the wallet and keeps the belly happy at the same time generous portions and everything cooked to perfection except for the steak can be a little dry. I would pick the lengua aka ox tongue a lot more tender and juicy if you go the bovine route. The enchiladas with mole was bomb and the chile relleno is to die for that’s green chilies fried and battered with a cheesy filling. And don’t get me started on the rice and beans and next door you got rock fantasy after a meal you can go to the pinball arcade what a perfect date“

“Absolutely incredible! Spicy Crab Meat Roll, California Roll, and Salmon Roll were so fresh and tasty, perfect rice and rolled very well! Their gyoza is unlike any gyoza I've had, very fresh tasting pork with a more mild flavor, with a lightly spicy sauce and crispy outside. Perfect! Crab Rangoon are great, and Crispy Sesame Chicken is cooked perfectly, and the sauce is superb. Not overloaded with sugar like some other places. Best Japanese food around“

“One week ago I called the Colonial Diner when the caterer for our daughter’s after wedding brunch cancelled 10 days before the wedding weekend. I told them what my crisis was and these complete strangers sprang into action and promised to take care of us. This morning they delivered delicious food and sooo much of it. All of our 120 brunch guests raved about all of the food and especially the French toast and sausage (many said the sausage was the best they ever had). I will be forever grateful to Carmen and Nikki for being amazing human beings. Thank you for being part of the wedding weekend!“

“The breakfast sandwiches from here are phenomenal! I love their everything bagels and I usually just get a ham egg and cheese spk and it's delicious. There's usually a small wait here in the mornings due to the morning rush, but that's expected. I call ahead sometimes so I don't have to wait long standing in line. The coffee is always hot and fresh. The workers are really friendly and polite and will strike up a conversation for a quick minute when they aren't busy helping other customers. The price is perfect for what you get. Not too expensive at all. You can also just purchase an assortment of bagels to take home with you and make yourself. I like coming here on the weekends. Great place, clean dining area, great people. I would highly recommend coming here and trying something off of their menu.“
