“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“

“Was looking for Mediterranean food for my wife and I on a casual evening out and we were not disappointed. Super friendly/helpful staff, wonderful atmosphere, and a wonderful selection of food. My wife and I got a bowl and we both loved it. If you are looking for a counter style Mediterranean place to eat this is a fantastic choice! All the food is made fresh. My wife ordered pita chips and falafel on the side and both were made fresh when we ordered. The pita chips were thick and super crispy. The falafel was incredibly moist too. Highly recommend!“

“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. As a family of native New Yorkers, we'd like to think we all know good pizza here at our house. We've been all over for good pizza, but this place has always been our at home go-to place to order from. Our grandparents ordered here for years before we moved locally and started ordering ourselves about three years ago - at least 6 or 7 years of happy customers between both families. The last 4 or 5 times we've ordered here we've been pretty disappointed - but today we received the order that officially has gotten us to the point where we will no longer be ordering or picking up food here anymore. Tonight's dinner was officially a waste of money. The peppers and onions were raw on a 1/2 sausage peppers and onions 1/2 extra cheese pie. We asked for it to be cooked well done, which we have plenty of times before, and the pizza had to be cooked in our oven so that the dough could finish cooking. The whole thing was a big, sloppy mess when we opened the cover. This place used to be great quality food - every single time. I get that times are tough and things are expensive, and things can't always be perfect. There's been a serious decline going on though, and tonight was kinda the last straw for our family.“

“The most amazing experience ever. Can’t say enough. Both Mary and Philip are the sweetest and were absolutely a pleasure to work with. I had a Valentine’s event on feb15th which needed to be rescheduled to the 22nd and I canceled the order last minute for 30 boxes of chocolate covered strawberries.
