“We called for same day reservations and were pleasantly surprised to be able to get our requested time, especially for a friday evening. The weather was beautiful, and we contemplated eating outside, but they didn't have lights on their outside deck. But that wasn't a problem, as it was getting chillier out. We ran into some friends as we walked inside and were able to add them to our reservation since they had a 4 top available. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. We ordered the 32 oz Cowboy Steak to share with a side of broccoli, and the other couple ordered the sesame encrusted Ahi Tuna Steak and the prime rib sandwich with au jus dip and fries. Everything came out perfectly done. We expected that our steak would have been thicker, after seeing pictures of it from previous posts, but it filled the plate. There was also a lot of fat to cut around. We ended up taking half of our steak home, but the other couple finished theirs completely. Because we made reservations, we both received complimentary chocolate mousse, which was delightful! We paired it with a nutty Irishman cocktail. We also took the 2nd chocolate mousse to go.The food is Always good at Jack Kellys. Very flavorful. Their soups are also very good, although we did not order tonight. The atmosphere is very casual, as it's a golf country club.“

“First time here in a very cold evening, it’s like on the back of a building, there’s a park in front of the store, and across the street from it is a huge building with a clock on top that could be an old train terminal.
The chef was really friendly and the chicken sandwich meal was delicious, my daughter was a picky eater, and she just killed that sandwich, the chicken was crispy and tender inside, it was so food, since it’s a cold day we didn’t bother to order ice cream pops, we will definitely come back with friends and visit this eatery again.“

Had a problem ordering online for pick up, so I called to see if order & payment went through and the lady who took my call was extreamly patient and checked for me. luckily it did go through and even let me know when I could pick it up as I was disconnected from there sight before I was given a time. when I arrived the same lady I spoke with on the phone gave me my order and said it just came out, and it was very hot just as she said. “We were in town for the 2025 CrossFit Games and stumbled upon Dawn's Victory Sports Cafe, right across the street from our hotel. What started as a convenient dinner stop quickly became our go-to spot every single night of our trip!

The vibe here is unbeatable: welcoming, local, and full of charm. On our last night, we were lucky enough to meet Dawn, the owner, and it all made sense. She's incredibly friendly and clearly pours her heart into this place. We learned that most of the staff have been with her for years, and it shows in how genuinely kind and attentive everyone was.

Not only did they open on days they normally wouldn't, but they even put together a special menu just for the CrossFit crowd. That kind of thoughtfulness and flexibility is rare these days.

Every waitress and bartender we met was just the sweetest. We truly felt like part of the local crew by the end of the weekend. We're crossing our fingers that the Games return to Albany next year because we'll absolutely be back.
