“Probably the best bagels in Clarkstown if not Rockland County as a whole. Great staff who is friendly, good value, and great all around cleanliness. My only suggestion to customers is consider calling them in advance because at times they can get a decent line due to popularity during the morning rush. Keep up the great work!!“

“The hummus was amazing! The dips have barcodes but nothing was scanned. We were told that small containers were $6 and large $9. The staff seemed nice so I don’t think we were overcharged but we’ve been up charged at certain places so we were just a little weary. We definitely stood out but staff was nice and the hummus makes you want to come back. The pastries did have prices so we tried the babka. They also have a chalkboard menu of items to order.“

Mazador Kebab really impressed me! The kebabs were soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The rice and soup were delicious too. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean — even the restroom! Prices were reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!“

“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“

“Went to the trattoria next door. Experience from beginning to end left me dreaming about the next time I’ll be back. Focaccia on the table, huge old school meatballs, chicken scarpielli done right and spicy, chicken vodka burrata was outstanding. Kudos! Go now, this place is going to be tough to get in to once the word gets out!“

“My family had an absolutely delicious and delightful late lunch/early dinner here. The staff were incredibly nice and treated us like family. The food was so good we all couldn’t stop talking about our meals. The chef definitely knows what he’s doing and the flavors are top notch quality and authenticity. I cannot say enough good about this place. We cannot wait to go back for another meal. Fantastic food, great drinks and a wonderfully hospitable atmosphere.“
