“Hotel staff recommended Yobo and am glad I took them up on it. Nice little restaurant tucked away on the main drag.

Went with a coworker who said he has dabbled in sushi. When asked, I told him I would prefer my fish cooked. He told me I was missing out and ordered some. I tried I and not too bad, but not something I would order for myself.

Good selection on the menu, and I will have to make another trip to try some of them. Sesame seed chicken and the sirlion with vegetables for this visit. Good atmosphere in the restaurant and staff was super friendly.

The main dishes were outstanding. Tried the chopsticks but had to use a fork to eat. I know. a rookie all the way.

Checked the box and recommend it to anyone looking for good food.“

“Best restaurant in the West Point/Highland Falls area! This is a family owned place that has been around for decades. They serve fresh sushi and a variety of Korean dishes. The food is delicious and they give you pretty generous portion sizes, too! However, this is definitely more of a “to-go” place as indoor seating is very limited.“

“My wife has talked up Itzmi for quite some time, but they are not open on Sundays, and because of my busy schedule, it makes dining here a really difficult task. Fortunately, I found myself with no place to be on a Saturday and also in the area. So, the wife and I sallied forth, infiltrated said nipponese bistro, and negotiated the vending of some Keiseki comestibles.
In short, we decided to have lunch!
From the exterior, the establishment looks old - frumpy, if not disheveled. The restaurant is located far in the back of a single level multi-fronted shopping complex. A lone, aging wooden sign with the image of a fish stands post along the busy highway of NY-300 - the only indication that there is an eatery there. Once inside, however, the space opens up to a clean, bright, and modern looking eatery.
The menu boasts many options, ranging from classic Japanese dishes to unique twists and specialty plates. There are not only Japanese dishes but a handful of Korean dishes as well.
The wife orders a Bento, I order two Maki Rolls and a Bulgogi Lunch special.
Brought out hot and steaming on a cast iron skillet, my lunch looked more like a plate of Korean inspired fajitas than anything else - but despite this odd presentation, I am pleased to say that hearing that sizzle, seeing that steam, and smelling that marinated beef began making my mouth drool and my stomach growl.
The food was very good - seasoned nicely and cooked well. My wife enjoyed her bento as well. Where I was disappointed was the Maki...
Now, if you've been following me on my culinary escapades, then you'd know that when it comes to sushi, my biggest peeve is the rice. SEASON THE DAMN SUSHI RICE!!!!! If there is one thing that Asian American eateries don't do enough of, especially Japanese establishments, it's seasoning their sushi rice.
Rice gets washed and then goes into a cooker. Add a little salt. Rice comes out of a cooker. Rice goes into a Hangiri. Rice Vinegar, Mirin and a little white sugar goes into the rice. Use a wooden spoon to slice the rice and evenly distribute these ingredients together, and fan the rice so that it cools and creates a glistening surface on the rice. Congratulations! You have done what 90% of Japanese eateries FAIL to do. I understand that it's a lot of extra work. I get that it's just easier to make one large batch of rice and call it a day - but ask any Japanese Itamae and they'll tell you, the most important factor to sushi making is the rice.
The rice here was seasoned, but badly under seasoned. It makes everything just taste flat. It's like, going to a Greek restaurant and not getting any Tzatsiki for your Gyro, or going to a Mexican restaurant and getting chips, but no salsa. It just doesn't pop.
All-in-all I would say the experience was very good. The service was solid and the waiter was attentive, but you could tell that he just wanted to hurry up and finish his shift so he could go home and watch reruns of Game of Thrones.
I would definitely come back - solid food (if not a little bland on the sushi) - decent pricing and a warm, inviting, and clean space to dine in. Solid 4 out of 5.

Vegetarian options: They have clearly marked Vegetarian rolls, dishes and other Rabbit foods...

Dietary restrictions: If raw fish isn't your thing, then perhaps stay in the cooked side of the menu.

Kid-friendliness: No real kids menu, but plenty of options.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessible front, with handicap parking. Bathrooms are a little tight, but you should be able to manage.“

“We went for sushi. 3 roles per person, shared edemame apatizer, and 2 drinks. Bill came close to about $100, not including drink. The food was excellent. Great presentation.

We didn't have any trouble getting a seat. Went on a later Sunday evening. The service was very good. I was very impressed with the presentation of the food and the quality. The selections we chose were very scrumptious and well paired. I've had sushi at places where the sauces tasted too sugary (as though it was from some canned syprup) these were perfect with the dishes and tasted fresh. I felt full and satisfied when leaving.

In this circumstance, you get what you pay for. It was a little pricy, but the quality of our rolls matched the value of what we paid. I would certainly go back again in the future. Great experience.

The parking lot is a little run down, and kind of in a weird area of town. The inside is modern and nice. This place would make a great date night when you're feeling like a special occasion.

I'd also like to note, the food came out quickly for us. There were no conflicts. And, bonus, the booth seats had this extremely soft gel in them; I was feeling run down from other work, they were incredibly soft on my sore ends.

Parking: The parking lot is a little run down.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessories is on the far side of the building.“

“The appetizers were amazing. We ordered the spicy wings which had a great crunch and were fresh and tender. For the entrees we got ginger stir fry and pad gra prow. The pad gra pow had a lot more sauce so it was more flavorful but overall the entrees were pleasing. The dessert was delicious. The fried banana tasted like crème brûlée and was portioned great. The mango was not as flavorful but still very good. We went on a Wednesday so it was chill and quiet so we felt we had to whisper but maybe with more people it would not be that way. Overall, highly recommend and will be returning.“

“The service was good and the tea delicious. We chose to be vegetarians and they catered it without even fish oil. Their decor is pleasant and it’s situated in Beacon which is a very beautiful town. The food however was far too salty and didn’t taste very fresh. Their menu is commendable but I do hope they improve their quality.

“The customer service is horrible, the front desk "warden" is very nasty. If you ask her a question she ignores you, all she is focused on is the money and not her customers. They raised their prices and took away the senior discount. The food is good although not always hot, they have a good variety. Whenever they have crabs you better bring your own utensil to crack them with or have a great set of teeth. They have a limited supply of crab crackers and ignore you when you ask for one. I am not particularly happy with the way they allow children to serve themselves. They should inform adults that they must accompany children to the servers. I actually saw a child eating out of the servers, wiped her nose with her hand like some children do and proceed to get food. its useless to bring it to the attention of the workers, they did nothing. Food good, service not so good. I waited months between visits...no change. Years ago it was a pleasure to visit.“
