Citarella is a great place to find high-quality food in NYC. We bought fresh fish and meat, and everything looked excellent and fresh. It’s a perfect choice if you’re looking for quality ingredients for the whole family, including a toddler. Highly recommended!
Probably one of best seafood market in the city. It isn’t cheapest out there, but you get what you pay for and that’s excellent quality products. The staff is very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to work with. I can’t say that about the butcher department. Meat quality is excellent, however the customer service and overall attitude of the staff is abysmal. 4.6 stars. One of my favorite grocery stores in NYC. Great selection of fish with very knowledgeable fishmongers. The cheese counter is impressive too. Produce is beautiful and the breads are done just right. You can find almost anything of quality here but you will also pay a bit more for it. In my opinion, the small premium is worth it.

Citarella Gourmet Market - Upper Westside is a fantastic grocery store. It offers a great selection of fish with very knowledgeable fishmongers. The cheese counter is impressive, and the produce is beautiful. The bakery is amazing, and the fresh cooked food will have you coming back every day. Everything is top notch, including the half roasted duck and Sweet Potato Ginger soup. The fish and meats are fresh and good, though they cost a bit more. An online order for Black Grouper and Red Snapper arrived super fresh and delicious. The service is awesome, with notifications confirming arrival. The people that work there are even more amazing. For the best quality Vegetables, Greens and Fruits in NYC, Citarella is the place.
